From the moment I checked in the staff were welcoming and polite.

Room was small but perfectly OK for a one night stay.

Customer service non existent. Couldn't get hold of anyone at the hotel.
Shocking
1.5
The room was very small with hanging space for clothes and a small table. No drawers or shelves for anything else . The bathroom was very very small, you couldn't dry yourself without opening the door and had to be careful not to hit your head on the wall when sitting on the loo. Having sais all this the room was clean and the beds comfortable . There was a very weird smell in the room, we were offered a different room but didn't bother for the one night. Our room was next to the lift which meant we got woken up by people coming in throughout the early hours on Saturday night.

The pricing is attractive and it's situated in the city center. Additionally, the breakfast is excellent.

Convenient - easy walk to the city centre and 15 mins walk to Gunwharf Quaysm Friendly staff. Wonderful breakfast - lots of options! Great night sleep!
2.0
Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Bathroom so tiny and shower poor volume and warm rather than hot. Carpet looked manky! - but it was reasonably priced and in a great location.

Just an average hotel, did what it had to do, the only thing is the bathroom is very tiny, I mean really tiny!

We ordered 2 buger meals. I wanted mine burger plain (no sauce whatsoever). after a approx half an hour wait my burger came with sauce. When the waiter/barman took it back to the kitchen we could hear the chef shouting and swearing. The waiter came back out of the kitchen and said he had given me and husband our meals the wrong way round but when my husband gave me his meal it also had sauce on it, so again I asked the waiter to get it changed to what I had ordered. Once again we heard the chef shouting. After about 20 minutes of waiting for my new burger we saw the receptionist go in the kitchen and come out with burger and chips which she tood to the reception desk and comsummed herself. Whilst waiting for my correct burger for another 40 minutes I then cancelled my order and asked for a refund. Then had a bag of crisps and a bar of choclate for my dinner, which wasn't ideal but that was all I had.

The carpet was damaged in our room which wasn't a good look. Otherwise, very friendly staff and comfortable beds. Will happily return.

Great staff. Allowed an early check-in which was really appreciated as we'd just got off a long flight. Room was clean and tidy and have everything we needed

We liked the easy access to the city center shops and all of the choices to eat out. A good walk to the historic dock yard and buses if prefer. Good choice of breakfast and a nice atmosphere.
5.0
Helpful staff who went out of their way to make things easy for us.
My husband has mobility problems and they couldn't have been more helpful.
The hotel made a good base to visit the attractions we wanted to see.
Only slight issue...the air con was a bit to enthusiastic! Felt rather cold in the public areas, but maybe that's us...my husband feels the cold a lot so our house is kept warm. Other guests didn't seem to find it cold.

Short overnight twin room stay with a friend,
Room was ok, little tired & warm on a hot day (no aircon), 24hr parking was easy, reception service was great, friendly staff and quick, didn't use any other hotel facilities. Bar/lobby area looked nice from afar though.

Well above expectations for a “budget” hotel. The staff were amazingly professional friendly and accomodating - not common for this part of the market. My only complaint, such as it is, is that the rooms get very warm, the hotel seems aware and has desk fans in each room.

Stayed here during Victorious festival so the price was higher than usual. The hotel was really welcoming and we were able to check in early. Breakfast was great and we managed to park in the hotel carpark for a £12. There was some street parking and another car park opposite for a slightly higher fee of £16 in case that info is useful to someone. Was a 15 min walk to Southsea for the festival so we would stay here again for that purpose. The room was very small but didn't matter to us as we just needed a comfy bed to sleep in.

Room stunk of pets. Moved to alternative room, no better. Room was so hot.fan provided but road noise so loud we couldn't leave the window open. Worst nights sleep ever. Never again

Near to ferry port, so convenient with reasonable paid parking. Rooms were rather warm though.

Its unfair to leave a real review as we paid over the odds for ther oom to go to the victorious festival. When leaving, the room price was advertised outside 4x less than we paid. But our choice to stay and had a fantastic weekend.
En suite small but functional but waste water took an age to go away invthe basin and shower.
Bar stays open till 1am but with a very limited offering. We found a pub round the corner instead.
3.0
Small bath rooms, noisy external road and no air conditioning available
