Mitten auf dem Campus
10.0
Amazing breakfast with wide selection which fueled me for a day of exploring beautifull Edinburgh! I felt safe as a solo traveller that the reception centre is open 24/7. It was amazing to hear the bagpipes and marching band who were also staying and rehearsing at the University, it really gave me an authentic Scottish experience! Lovely views of arthurs seat from campus and useful to have a shop and restaurant on site. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent value for money considering it being prime festival season and expensive alternative accommodation. Will be back!
Great that 2 towels and a quality bathmat are provided but this would have been useful information to include in the email as if I had known I wouldn't have packed one on limited suitcase space. No hairdryer provided but I belive you could request one from reception, I bought my own with me so that wasn't an issue. Hard to find any faults with such good value accommodation. Kettle would have been a bonus.

Breakfasts are excellent, bus service excellent, all round perfect
The prices have gone up a bit

Good security. Walking distance to the Scholar Brasserie lovely food. Easy bus access. Amazing breakfast from typical British to haggis, lots of fruit & breads.
Lousy pillows. Housekeeping needs to be every 4 days rather than every 6. Towels from Reception not always available. Few hair dryers.

I have been in other student accommodations and this one was great. The room was clean and with a view over the hills. The breakfast was AMAZING. The shared bathroom was clean and so was the showers. Great experience at a great price, would recommend

Limpieza muy decepcionante. Pelos en el cuarto de baño y muchísimo polvo en el mobiliario

Simple functional facilities and room with comfortable bed. The staff are helpful. The buffet breakfast has a wide selection and is pretty good. Good very fast Wi-Fi. Nice placent green spaces between the buildings.
The doors creek and bang shut. Some of the shower cubicles are a bit small and pokey.

Price in July reasonable
Luggage storage
Towels provided but not soap
Queuing system for check in and check out could be very easily improved.
Check in staff and managers too young and inexperienced.
Breakfast plentiful but sausages and bacon were inedible.
Pancakes were ultra processed and not fresh.
Collection of stored luggage was not efficient at all.
Hundred of young teen kids on campus.
Noisy workmen at adjacent building.
Window cleaning at 9am!
No soap provided!

Chancellors hall was Convenient to local transportation. Dining hall for breakfast was great with so many options, and ample seating. Proximity to Arthur’s seat, including spectacular views of the city, Salisbury Crags, and Arthur’s seat. Having a laundromat in the building was a huge bonus! Staff in Arthur’s Pub were so friendly and the service was quick.
The smell of burnt popcorn seemed to always be wafting in the air. Shower in our dorm room needed a thorough scrub.

I booked a single room, which was clean, comfortable and perfect for a one-night stay. The breakfast was good, with a variety of options. The location was quiet with the bus to town a short walk away. All the staff were friendly and accommodating.

I must say that we went to the place with very low expectations since we were going to a university campus, but we were, overall, gladly surprised. The rooms looked warm and they had everything a person may need. The campus is nice and close to buses going to the city centre. The breakfast service was outstanding, with lots of products to choose from and plenty of food, besides, the staff members were very friendly and they had high chairs for babies as well.
Unfortunately, one of the rooms was not clean enough (I found a dirty sock under the bed when looking for one of my daughter's, there was a small hairbrush on the carpet as well and the tea cups in the room were so dirty one of them was literally stuck to the tray). I have to say that the staff member I talked to was genuinely shocked when I told him so and he sent someone to fix this, but whoever came only removed the sock leaving the tea cups still stuck to the tray. Other than that, no complaints.

Good location to walk to the city center.
The breakfast was superb! Wide variety and good quality.
The bathroom needs a renovation. There’s a lack of hangers and small shelf within the shower.

Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The rooms were well equipped, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and had many choices vegan options available . It felt safe with good security staff on hand all night as well.
Nothing we didn't like

The location
The breakfast was cold and mass produced. The shower had very little pressure and you could not move inside the cubicle. The walls are paper thin. You hear everything

Excellent budget accomodation. Clean and safe. Fantastic buffet breakfast. Holyrood Park and Arthur’s Seat are close by for a beautiful hike. Would stay again.
Nothing. It was perfect for me.

It was basic, but that’s what we expected, so no gripes here.

Great choice for breakfast. Quiet location. Helpful staff.

The breakfast was really good, lots of choices everyone will find something to eat. Beds are comfortable enough, location is about 25minute walk from city centre but you can get Bolt or bus,the en suite room have just enough space for two people. In general I do recommend staying in here.
The lights in the room were very dark I guess that’s the type of bulbs that are used, I feel like rooms are fine but bathrooms need some upgrade. The hot water seemed to be on and off while showering and the bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly when we arrived. Also the noise from other doors closing are very loud

Decent setting with good scenery. The price was good compared to other places.
Great that reception was open early to return keys.
The floor in the toilet and shower room was not totally clean.People were coming in late and banging door.I needed to be up at 5a.m.
Room was cold even with the window closed.Be house prouder.

The location was fantastic, close to the centre of Edinburgh. Breakfast was so good, nothing ran out, everything was hot and there was just so much choice. The staff in reception, even when checking in at 2330hrs were friendly and very helpful and the staff at breakfast were equally as friendly.
The address was a little misleading and took us to the wrong place and the phone number on the booking was for an office that closed at 1700hrs, not very good when trying to check in at 2330hrs.

Gardens
Staff couldn't work the payment machines properly and there was a long wait for their senior to authorise payments.
A window cleaner entered my room without warning in the morning - completely unacceptable
