I like the service from the staff
I didn't like the fact that my sliding door kept getting stuck

The location is right by the river and the grounds are excellent. The room has all the facilities you would expect including a television which was a bonus. The wi-fi was also good and available in the room not just in the restaurant and reception. The man on reception was very helpful and allowed us to check in early as the room was ready. This really helped us and was much appreciated.
The service in the bar and restaurant was poor. At lunchtime we ordered a toasted sandwich which took nearly half an hour to arrive and was then not what we ordered. However having waited so long we did not wish to send it back. The evening meal service was also slow even though the restaurant was not full. Most of hte staff need a reminder about looking after the customers.

La proximité avec la frontière
Vétuste et peu chaleureux

Food was OK. Premises were clean. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
A lot of facilities simply didn't work. It took 4 goes to find a room with working air conditioning. Door handles were falling off. Lights missing. Shower cubicle didn't drain at an acceptable rate. Very few guests. The place felt like it was in mothballs. Poor reflection on Marriott chain of hotels. Pool was a livid green. Weeds throughout the gardens.

The view of the great Zambezi river from our rooms and dining areas.
The breakfast on the second day was not great but acceptable for the lodge

The location is great. It has an awesome view of the Zambezi River.
I have no words to describe my shock when we arrived. We were checked into a room that had not been cleaned. They just handed us the keys and told to find our way.
The rooms and bathrooms could use some old fashioned deep cleaning.

The best accommodation in the area. Beautiful restaurant right next to the river, memorable sunsets, easy access to town & border. Special thanks to the staff, especially Adriano, who helped me adjust my reservation and improve my itinerary. I am grateful!
4.5
Breakfast was exceptional. Beyond what one could expect. A variety of cereals, cold meats, cheeses, olives, pickles and breads plus English breakfast on request. The rooms were very neat and the staff very friendly and helpful.
The water in the pool was covered in leaves. The cleaning pump was still lying inside the pool. Hot water kettle in the room was not clean, had fungi and pieces of paper inside.

aged facilities with the need for renovation
2.5
The bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable. The views ro the river are beautiful. The staff was nice and helpful.
The gardens and the installations are abandones. There is a swimming pool but you cannot use it because it was dirty, the restaurant and the bar look very decadent.
