Charmante guesthouse

Un petit coin de paradis, calme, ravissant! Le patron est adorable et très serviable. Le personnel est charmant et souriant. Toute l’équipe vous fait vous sentir à la maison.

Beautiful place but too sad not clean

Beautiful interior design, in a beautiful location. We also loved the breakfast. Very great location for couples for a romantic short stay in Galle.

Well, very very sad for such a beautiful place, but the bed sheets were extremely dirty. I hope we don’t get sick after sleeping on them, we only realised that in the morning. Also the shower had a lot of mold. Really sad for such a beautiful place to not focus on these tiny details especially that it doesn’t cost much to clean it.

Exceptional

Just a step away from the Main Street and the fort ramparts, the location can not be beaten. It is a beautiful old villa that has been made very comfortable with also a very warm welcome from Sunitha and her team.Breakfast is as you order it and it was delicious. Some of the best fruit I had in Sri Lanka. The bed was really comfy and the AC worked well. Water pressure gave long hot showers. Everything you could want from a boutique stay was delivered here in spades. I would definitely visit again!

The wifi signal is a little weak. But then maybe the point is to disconnect from your phone and enjoy being in a truly lovely place.

Cozy comfort right in town

The staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful! The property has a beautiful old world feel to it and the room has a comfortable bed and an AC that works perfectly. A great value for the price for sure :) the location is perfect right in the middle of the fort with restaurants all around

There were a lot of mosquitos when we arrived, but the staff quickly gave us some spray and we didn’t see any more the rest of our stay there :)

super place in Galle Fort

Parawa House is in a central location in Galle Fort so really handy for walking round then returning to the room when it got too hot or humid. Meetha and her team were excellent, always smiling and helpful. The property is a lovely old traditional building that has been well converted so that the air can and fan were efficient and the bathroom was lovely with a good shower. We had a balcony and could sit and overlook the quiet street below which was very relaxing and good to feel part of the scene - a rabbit in the house opposite was peeping its nose out of the window. Super breakfasts, Meetha arranged a good taxi for our onward travel to Negombo.

Beautiful place to stay - large rooms with cozy communal garden outside

one of the nicest places I stayed! Perfect for exploring Galle, and I loved the cozy feel of the place. The breakfast was great as well. And was surprised to see a cute fluffy resident bunny. The hosts were attentive.

this is an absolutely beautiful property. I was absolutely fantastic with a private balcony and gorgeous bathroom. Bad was very comfortable and the guests were very helpful. I’ll recommend this place to anyone

We had a really nice stay at the Parawa House, sadly just for one night. It is such a lovely place in Galle Fort. The best were the two white rabbits who were running arround at the property. The Hosts were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was huge and tasty.

We would have liked to have one or two chairs in the room (we stayed at the bedroom with the doublebed and the bunkbed), space would be there for it. The only sitting place was the bed.

Perfect spot in Galle Fort

Excellent location in the middle of the Fort. Beautiful place and very lovely staff. It was nice to sit in the garden, enjoy the pond and general tranquility.

Perhaps the bedsheets could be better quality.

Fabulous property, lovely place to stay.

Lovely location, very friendly and helpful staff. I would highly recommend staying here.

The economic situation is clearly very difficult for everyone in Sri Lanka at the moment, but the staff went out of their way to make sure that we weren't inconvenienced at all.

Great stop in Galle

Very friendly, accommodating staff, beautiful main hotel and other rooms in neighbouring buildings in a very good location for surrounding restaurants, cafes and shops, as well as the lighthouse and fort wall. We had a beautiful sea view room. Fantastic breakfast in the morning in the communal area with a lovely fish pond :).

The location. Bang in the middle of the shopping area. Stone's throw away from peddlar street.

No power backup. Sure, due to the economic crisis - the number of hours of power cut have increased. But some backup atleast? For half an hour? That is also not there. We stayed with just a candle. And when there's no power, the water supply in the room stops. Unbelievable. So you can't even use the washroom when there's no power. The manager wasn't helpful either. She was asking us to step out everytime there's a power cut. They also gave us free breakfast to ensure we don't talk about the hiccups. Don't think that can make up for the inconvenience.

Lovely guest house in the Dutch Fort

Location is amazing and the owner is a lovely lady. Place is clean and well decorated. I would suggest to take a breakfast at the property.

if there is an electricity cut, there is no generator, so you have to sit in darkness without an AC. Which is also fine for some time :D
