Very sweet staff.
No aircon.
Slightly dirty. Stained futon mattress. Slightly dirty toilet walls.

The staff was great. Everyone was very helpful.
The breakfast was good, the location of the accommodation was suitable.
There are many restaurants and gift shops nearby.
Unfortunately, the room we got did not have air conditioning, which is a bit uncomfortable in the rainy season.
3.6
Staff there was extremely friendly and helpful. Location was nice as it is not along the main highway/roads, so no incoming noise from traffic.
3.6
Very very beautiful environment. Perfect rooms and good restaurant. I would definitely come here again if I visit Koyasan. Pick up from and to Koyasan.
A must visit.

Where to start ? Awesome traditional breakfast, great bath room, super comfy room, free bikes to use, lovely staff : truly a wonderful place to stay, and experiment a traditional Japanese way of life.
Nothing to say there, it was really great.

Breakfast, environment good
Toilet door needs to improve

Traditional style rooms. Mighty japanese breakfast. Friendly hosts.
The onsen is rather a one-man bath tub.
No bike rental as posted out in the subscription.

Friendly staff.
Excellent treatment
That I did not have more time to spend there.

Very cozy and cute place. The staff was very kind and helpful. Feels home. They accommodated our breakfast request to change into Western breakfast. A super welcoming place!
I wish the shower/ bath hours were not so limited.
Bathroom should be available anytime.

During my stay there was only few guests so the staff offer us a bigger room with Mt Fuji view! Although I can’t see the complete Mt Fuji but it’s okay! Overall Great hospitality and the breakfast was good.
overall is good but the bath was small and water is not hot enough, so I had to add hot water by myself.
3.6
Good ryokan. Everything is as it should be in the old style. Nice breakfast.
The fact that the Onsen didn't work in the morning and linens were dirty in our room.
3.6
The location itself. You feel like you're in a rest house in the middle of a forest. Very peaceful and silent. You can also see the view of Mt. Fuji when you open your window from your room, and its view when we went outside and had a little walk at the back of hotel. The room is a Japanese style and very wide. We slept comfortably. There's also (お風呂), a mini public version of a hot tub on an establishment, so we felt relaxed after a long bicycle ride from Kofu on a cold winter season. The staffs are very nice and very accommodating. We added breakfast on our booking and we enjoyed so much food and the staffs served us a lot.
The toilet bowl doesn't have bidet. It's a bit hassle to just use tissue paper to clean up after using the toilet. Hope this one improve as we really want to go back here on our next ride to Yamanakako.

nothing
it was cold, the staff disorganised and rude, tried to move me from my room after I had settled and unpacked, in the middle of a noisy building site, the booking.com photos are misleading re lake views, they refused to serve me breakfast and were way overpriced at 9000 JPY

The owners were really nice and cooked us the perfect breakfast. It was so nice to start our day with a happy tummy. The surrounding area was also very pretty. We went there during autumn so the trees looked gorgeous, especially during sunrise. There are also lots of restaurants nearby which are all accessible by foot. It's a good ryokan for budget travelers who will be out exploring for most of their stay and just need somewhere to store their luggage and sleep for the night.
The water was freezing. When I used the sink outside the bathroom, my sleepiness actually went away because the water was so cold. Hahaha. Water pressure was kind of weak in the public bath area. Beds were also kind of hard. By the time of our check out (three days after checking in), we were starting to feel pain on our lower backs.

Super Japanese baths. Very friendly staff.
No continental breakfast, only Japanese style breakfast. No private bathroom. Quite cold room. Almost no English spoken.
3.6
The Nature around.
No toilet, no bathroom in a room.

the location
The old manager was really unfriendly. If you are from abroad don't stay at the hotel. She hates foreigners.
3.6
The bath wasn't full and the water in the bath wasn't very hot.
3.6
The staff was very friendly and tried to help.
I couldn't pay with credit card even if there was a sign saying they accepted credit card. I picked the place because it had onsen, but it was a big bath tub, not very nice to share with random people, but the worse was that the shower don't have hot water in the morning...
The madrasses aren't amazing either.

The owner is kind

the traditionalism and the super friendly host

The breakfast was very delicious. The place is super clean and quiet. The bathroom is big and the bath very confortable. The owner was very kind with us.
If you want to use the barbecue, is better to come early in the evening. We made a mistake and came to late, but the owner let us use the very big kitchen.
3.6
Nice classic ryokan next to Lake Yamanaka. The owner is very sweet and really took care of us! We stayed before and after hiking Mt. Fuji and it was a great choice.
The bath is rather small and not very hot.
3.6
Rits was so kind and helpful! Check in/out was clear, quick, and stress-free!
We also rented bikes for the day ($3/hour or $15 for 24-hours) and it was a great way to get around the lake!
For food spots nearby, I can't recommend Shoya (for local houtou) enough! (about a 8-10 minute walk)
