Location close to Brecon Beacons, staff, breakfast, appearance of hotel, parking, bathroom (especially black engraved tiles), shower, view from room, light switches by bed, wardrobe, key card room entry, chairs and tables in the room.
Floors creaked so could hear people walking past room at night, wedding on so people back to their room late around 2am, heard them talking for a bit but not too long, was more noticeable because the floors creaked so much, the talking was a lot quieter than the creaking so not their fault.
Their was really strong smell in the room when we first went in, opened the windows straight away and came back hours later and it was mostly gone.
Price, don't think it was worth £150 per night, more like just under £100 maybe if it had a pool and hot tubs and all negatives fixing, TV was tiny and in the corner of the room, bed was a bit too soft and too small, a standard double is too small for 2 people unless it's a cheap hotel, a few more options at breakfast would be nice like muffins, then savoury items like ham, cheese and nice breads/rolls to make sandwiches.
No aircon which was fine in May but would get hot in the summer.
Was more than happy with the stay, probably wouldn't really have any complaints if we had paid around £90 per night.

Parking was easy, check in was smooth, the room was newly refurbished to a very high standard, very comfortable. A nice bar with helpful friendly staff. Dinner was great and enjoyed by all my guests. Beautiful sunset down the valley.

Staff friendly.
Comfy beds.
Cooked breakfast wasnt the best. Sausages tough. There is plenty of other choice.
I wouldnt book it if i stayed again.
Cracked floor tiles in the bathroom of the room we stayed in.

not a lot
The receptionist was not very helpful and check in was a chore.
Having seen 2 other rooms which were cheaper than the one allocated to me I was extremely disappointed

the location was beautiful and convenient for us . Room was lovely and clean although bathroom was a little tired and could have done with updating . Staff were lovely and friendly especially the bar maid that served us .
bathroom needed updating and carpet was very worn in room 7

Nice staff at breakfast.
Horrible music from a wedding just below our room until 0:15 and people talking loudly until almost 1:00. Impossible to sleep before. We have never been warned in advance about those awful conditions. It it totally unacceptable for the price we paid (£ 122 in August 2023).
Then woken up at 7:00 am by noises from people in the corridor. Becoming aware of an engine noise just below our room and our window probably coming from the kitchen, just like the engine of a lorry that create low vibrations.
You are in the peaceful countryside but is it really noisy.
Talking of coutryside, the photos on Booking.com look amazing but the reality is different (see pictures attached). We took a 'superior room' with a photo on green trees. Here is the real view on the kitchen and fridge doors from our double 'superior' expensive room.
Also the fire detector flashes red every 10 seconds just above our head in front of your eyes just to make sure to keep you awake at night with a danger signal.

Wedding was very good, food was excellent, room a bit dated and small

Peaceful location, great yard overlooking the countryside. Plenty of parking and very dog friendly. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
We were hoping to get Welsh food or a little more choices outside of fish and chips and burgers, but we found the menu was quite limited. It's tricky cause it's quite a remote location and there aren't many other options around.
Breakfast wasn't great either. Loved the yogurt/croissants choices but the hot food wasn't great and we didn't digest it easily.

Very friendly bar staff on arrival, but it ended there.
Hotel has renovations going on, but maybe if they put a few pardon our appearance signs up, it would help. Kitchen staff, night porter, and reception staff all looked confused and not that fully committed.

Staff are always so brilliant when we stay here. It was our first time staying since having our baby and the staff were so friendly and made sure our needs were met. We will definitely be back. Its my most favourite hotel to stay in!!!!

Lovely hotel, very friendly staff and great price. Bed was very comfortable and plenty of parking. We booked for Sunday lunch on arrival and the food was lovely. Very well priced aswell for a 2 course meal. The breakfast the next morning was also great.
The room could of done with a lick of paint, but was clean.
