The main part of the hotel is very beautiful and old world. Staff were helpful.
Even though the room was very full, it does have everything you need including fridge. Microwave, hairdryer, ironing board and iron.
We stayed in the adjoining building. The rooms are ok. Clean enough. The room is very small with extremely thin walls. Could hear everything even low voices and the running tap of room next to us. Bed wasn’t very comfortable and pillows were very hard. I think even new mattress and bouncy pillows would make it feel like the luxury you want to show

Nothing
No hot water, room dirty with other people’s rubbish left behind. Dirty bathroom. Was told we would have hot water in one hour, didn’t happen. We were offered other rooms but it was just dirty and dingy. Checked out same night, no offer of refund. Do not stay here.

Room was quite small for a double bed.
2 very small bugs in the bed when I pulled the clean sheets back. Mattress was well worn. No password to get onto the wi-fi to do work. Tried calling reception but got no answer.

The room was just what we needed thank you and for the price it’s a no brainer! Good value for money
You get what you pay for and I expect that.

Ease for the airport with free parking
Very damp smell in the bathroom which if you left the door open you could smell in bed

Lovely lady at breakfast
Really needs some tlc, like an old hostel. Rooms are not in the house pictured but a strange annex at the back - like being back in the 70's

Didn't have breakfast. Hotel needed much money spent on it. Very dated and appeared a bit like a hostel where the rooms were but once inside the room, it was clean and had all the facilities necessary.
All ok really

It’s not the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in

The hotel was dated, dirty and basic. Upon arrival I was checked in went to my room. Shortly afterwards when I tried to take a shower there was absolutely no hot water. I went to speak to reception who said it was broken and they were trying to fix it, it should be done in the hour. I waited and still the problem wasn’t fixed, after many conversations with reception and being told it’s out of their hands, speaking to booking.com and a number of hours later I decided to leave as it was getting late. I then had to drive around the area looking for somewhere else to stay. It was very late by the time I found somewhere which left me very anxious and stressed.
The room was cheap and for that you don’t expect luxury, but hot water is basic. Refund requested from booking.com which I’ve not yet received. I found a much nicer hotel but its left me massively out of pocket and well above budget for this trip.

Lovely staff
Shabby, rooms in desperate need of updating and 1st room was not very clean, staff were helpful in moving me.

The breakfast was excellent. Very friendly waitress
Only one bedside light worked. Bathroom light wasn't bright so difficult to use the mirror. Soap dispensers were very hard to press

Nothing
I didn't check reviews, otherwise would never have opted. They don't clean room everyday, they do it on 3rd day and even their stay is horrible. Carpets are old and full of soil. It is like you will catch diseases, if you stay there. I don't recommend it to anyone. They don't have staff and they just pushing the things like customers are nothing.

Nothing
This property could benefit from an entire ball and chain demolition! It is NOT a hotel. It is a sh1thole. In times gone by the owners would have been put in the stocks! There is a mountain of overflowing garbage just sitting in the garden.
The room i was given had no cold water in the shower. In 35 plus years of staying in hotels all over the world I can hand on heart say this was the absolute worst experience ever. It was a lesson hard learned - ALWAYS ALWAYS take the time to read reviews in advance of booking a stay anywhere.

Bed was great, a little on the short side, so I slept diagonally, and I'm not unusually tall.
But it was really comfortable and clean.
There's a microwave and a chiller in the room.
I didn't try the microwave, but the chiller could have been colder.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean and tidy. The breakfast was really good quality. The lady who served breakfast was really nice and friendly. Checking in and checking out was seamless.
I arrived at night and drove past it because the signage is poor. The street is tree lined and there are no hotel signs on the road. I thought I had booked a ground floor room with access to the gardens. That's probably my mistake for not paying enough attention to detail during the booking process. I suspect the website misled me. There was no bath, just a shower.

The nice lady on reception. The hotel was warm
The hotel grounds were unkept. Rubbish spilling out of bins. The corridors were dirty. The bar was not open. The fridge was cold enough. The shower was far to small u got wet turning it on before even getting in. Only 1 toilet roll. Empty bottles left in communal areas all weekend. Apart from the lady who showed us to our room I didn't see 1 other member of staff all weekend.
The hotel needs updating. Booked because of location for our wedding weekend.
Will not be booking again
