The view is spectacular. There’s a very reduced staff at the hotel with only a nice chap on reception and doing everything.
The former restaurant facility of this hotel has been hived off, with the hotel going to one brother and events dining (only) going to the other one. Having especially messaged for a quiet room I was given room 202 in the reception corridor which faced onto the rear of their events area and their loos with all the conversation and flushing outside. The noise was terrible from the event. And even when it had finished the clearing up was extremely loud without regard for would be sleeping guests with the adjoining wall being bumped. It did not stop until 2.15am and I therefore got no sleep until about 3am. I was travelling the next day. You are at the mercy of the events being held in that room. They tried to tell me at the hotel the events section belonged to someone else ..but the hotel owner’s brother was there doing the clean up so it’s just a different company on the same grounds. The old dining facility for lunch and dinner used to be fantastic.. Also they used to serve a delicious breakfast with lovely staff and, though the food is reasonable (cold scrambled egg for example) they serve it on paper plates -for ‘ecological reasons’ they claim! In fact they have cut down on all staff/ facility costs except for one person on reception and a lady I saw only at breakfast. They had a notice board offering to sell bruschetta at lunchtime but it was not available because ‘the lady is not there’. The bigger pool has a notice saying only 2 people at a time. The air conditioning in my room didn’t work properly and there was no hand soap provided. This could be one of the great hotels of the world with its spectacular view but the changes made since the pandemic means it’s just a b and b serving food on paper plates like a bad motel in the US.

Situation is exceptional. The entrance from the busy main road invites you into a tranquil, setting with flowers and shrubs decorating the whole area. Passing through reception you reach a beautiful pool area leading the most superb view across the bay to Naples. In the far distance is Vesuvius , sometimes clearly visible, sometimes covered in mist, but it’s always there.
The staff, especially Pino who manages the hotel were always polite, helpful and thoughtful.
It was easy to walk down the hill to Ischia Port where there are plenty of restaurants on the harbour. The town is well worth a day spent walking on the beach to the castle. Swimming in the Mediterranean is always such a pleasure.
We found the public bus service was a great bonus, with bus stops outside the hotel, taking you either clockwise or anti clockwise around the island.. Going out for the day or,for an evening meal, was therefore a simple task. Tickets for a day or up to a week can be purchased from the bus depot in Ischia Port.
The only disappointment was the lack of a restaurant. This was due to open the day after we returned home. It is separated from the restaurant and run by a different company, but shares the fabulous outlook over the bay. An evening meal must be worth a try.

Great public transport on the doorstep, easy access to lovely Ischia Porto, fabulous terrace -favourite spot for breakfast, with pool and loungers etc and beautiful views across Bay of Naples to Vesuvius, lovely Garden, good WiFi
No plugs for bath, washbasin, bidet in our room.. Asked reception who took a plug from the bath in another room (!) But it didn't fit and the hot water ran away.
Breakfast was ok but the same every day.
NO refreshments available to guests after 10 am every day - thank goodness we took a travel kettle!! (On this trip we stayed at another hotel that left a kettle, teas, coffees, water available for guests to make a drink 24/7)

Everything was perfect

The hotel staff throughout looked to help and offer great service. The room and hotel was immaculate and was a relaxing space. Beautiful pool and terrace area with stunning views. My wife has strict Gluten and nut free dietary needs but the staff did all in their power to provide options at breakfast time
With our trip still early in the season some of the hotels services such as the onsite bar and restaurant were not open. The hotel felt very quiet in the evening, An area to sit indoors for guest to relax outside of their rooms would be helpful even if other facilities are still waiting to reopen.

I loved having breakfast on their patio, with stunning view. I don’t know I can go back home where I won’t have that view every morning…
I liked everything

The breakfast was ok, when comparing with lots of other Italian hotels' breakfast. There was more on the choice than just a croissant and coffee. Ham, cheese and bread, some cereals, yogurt, lots of cakes. The hotel was exactly as seen on the pictures, nothing surprised. The receptionist gave us very good suggestions for nearby restaurants and sightseeing, shopping hints. Very beautiful sea view Sea from hotel garden!

Amazing views from the pool area and restaurant. The pool is nice and big and there are plenty of sun loungers, so even when those lovely human beings race out at 8am to put their towels on some there are some left for others.
Staff were helpful and friendly.
Easy 5min bus on the 1 or 2 line.
Breakfast was nice but a bit sweet, need some savoury options.
WiFi din't really work in our room (102).

The most incredible location, a quick walk from the port and right next to a bus stop. the views across the ocean were magical and the staff always went the extra mile. We had an exceptional time.
The mattress could have been more comfortable on the bed.

Swimming pool was absolutely amazing, very relaxing experience and well equipped with variety of pools.
As hotel is quite small the pool never felt overcrowded.
The property is located on top of the hill and the views over the sea were absolutely stunning. Also it was very convenient to use nearby bus stop to navigate around the island - buses generally come frequently, however beware - its close to impossible to buy tickets from bus driver or stamp them in the overcrowded bus! Better to buy bus tickets in advance from Ischia Porto bus station.
We felt that apart the gorgeous pool, the hotel didn't really provide amenities which you expect from 4* hotel.
Particularly, we have massively struggled with finding food during the first couple of days of our visit. Breakfast in hotel is extremely limited and not comparable to experiences we are used to have from 4* hotels - our child was hungry during all our stay and we felt very sorry for her. Fresh fruits were not replenished daily, there was no omlette or freshly squeezed juice and coffee machine doesn't make a great coffee.
It was disgraceful to be served slimy ham (which most likely got bad due to the heat) to the hotel guests, luckily our stomachs tolerated it well, as we very hungry.
The restaurant on site is one of the most expensive restaurants on the island - be prepared to wait until 8 PM (when it opens for a dinner) pay 20 eur for 100 gr of pasta and feel hungry still.
On top of that the closest convenience stores are situated 1 km to 2 km away from hotel and there is absolutely no snacks available like nuts or crisps to buy from reception or inside of hotel room bar.
As our kid was hungry after the breakfast and we didn't understand how buses go during the first days of our stay, we walked 2 km down to Doc to Ischia Porto in 32 celsius heat and back, just to buy simple snacks to the room in order not to starve. Believe me, this is not what you want to do if you book yourself 4* hotel.
The hotel seemed also understaffed and staff overworked, as the same person worked in reception and was supposed to switch to the bar in the other room to make you a drink and there was only person in charge of the whole breakfast serving and maintenance, which was sad. It would also be nice for staff to learn how to smile, as even though they tried to be friendly with us, it felt very pressured and insincere.

Beautiful view, great pool, good breakfast, helpful staff. We had a balcony with partial sea view and watched the sunset every night. Great value for your money.
We did end up renting a car as the hotel is not near the town or you can take the bus. If you have luggage, it’s best to just get a car from the rentals near the port.the buses were full of people and don’t come very often.

Very nice and helpful staff, great view, there's a great restaurant right next to it.
The price you pay for staying is very low in respect to what you get!

The staff were lovely. My room was large and kept nicely clean. Location great, and pool area good
Quite a way out of town and no nearby evening facilities. No bar in the evening, or indoor lounge area. Sometimes the on site restaurant is open, sometimes not. Other reviewers have picked up on the issue of the conflicting interests of the owners, and I guess the loss of business through Covid has left issues unresolved. I wish them well as there is so much to like here

The pool and view were amazing! The staff was supper friendly. Our room had a balcony with a partial view of the sea, but it was perfect for having coffee

The hotel is located about 10 minutes walk from Ischia ferry (busses stop almost in front of the hotel) but you can also walk - it is a very steep final street towards the harbour so not suited for everyone.
There aren’t really any restaurants close to the hotel, except for 1 where I had a meal on the evening of my arrival. The staff was excellent and the food was very nice.
Breakfast was predominantly sweet things (croissants, cake, brioche,…) it would have been nice to have a few more savoury options. You could ask for a boiled egg and cheese so that was good and there was also cereal and fruit.

Amazing staff and lovely location. Had a really good time, after the checkout we could stay the whole day still in the pool while they were taking care of our luggage. Cleaned room everyday and nice advices on where to go. Would come back for sure!!

Alessandro is really nice
The guy at the reception is arrogant.
Not nice he kept us waiting while the room was ready that isn’t really nice.

Amazing views from the pool, we booked a partial see view and the balcony had amazing views of the sea as well as of the very well kept gardens. The gentlemen at the reception was very courteous. The room was clean.
This was the 4th time we stayed at this property. This year however they have restricted access to the beautiful terraces only to guests who pays for full board so if you book on booking.com (room and breakfast) be aware that you will only have access to a corridor leading to a small bar and the pool area, that’s it. The other lobby with sofas, terraces with views are restricted. We noticed many people (families with kids) continuously crossing in and out of the restricted areas so we also entered the area but we were scolded. When we asked why other people could cross they responded that they are the owners. So paying guests have to abide to rules while the owners, their noisy kids and other family members do whatever they want. The receptionist tried to justify this choice due to COVID restrictions which again do not seem to apply to the owners and no longer applicable if you decide to pay an additional 25Eur per person per meal. Breakfast was quite basic as you can read in many reviews. The room requires some TLC, aircon buttons were broken and there were some stains on the roof. We would not recommend staying at this property any longer and we will choose a different stay for our next year break in Ischia.
