Oh my god. This hotel must update the photos on booking, as we really didn’t know the perfect place we booked. We even added one more night as we felt we must stay there a bit longer. It was exceeding our expectations at every point! There are beautiful hot springs in this hotel, not so many people so we had privacy and it wasn’t busy at all. Many beautiful animals around, the staff were super nice and breakfast was the best we’ve had in our trip (and we’ve had some ;))
The room was beautiful and clean with amazing view to the Arenal volcano. Super comfy beds, hot water in the shower, best value for money.
Can’t say anything bad about this hotel. One of the best i’ve been to in my life.

We LOVED the Chato room's private pool and patio, and the delicious breakfast brought to our room was a nice perk. The massage was incredible overlooking the river rapids, and the happy hour enjoyed in a hot springs was special. The staff were very accommodating to our special requests and food allergies, and even made a surprise for the birthday we were celebrating. We LOVED our adventure to the volcano and the nearby sloth tour as well.
The gluten free pizza crust was subpar in comparison to the other food offerings. The outside shower was a bit cold.

It’s very clean, we went for our birthday trip and they did the surprise for us, it was very thoughtful of them.
Few bugs in the room but in the jungle so undetstandable

Preise in Restaurant übertrieben hoch

I love the location with a lot of flora.. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Like most things in travel, it's the people that make the difference. I really enjoyed the staff, and of course the unsung heroes are housekeeping. We also had a very positive experience with one of the night security officers when he helped intervene in dealing with some noisy neighboring guests.
Everything met my expectations.

Breakfast was great! We liked that the rooms had a sense of privacy. Kids loved the pool and the cheeseburgers.
I think the only breakfast feedback is that some of the pastries didn’t stay fresh in the heat, but that is minor.
Rooms could use a little updating. WiFi was a bit weak, which would be an issue if we needed to work, but we were taking a vacation from that too.

Location is the best.
Nature is extraordinary.
View of the Volcano is unbeatable.
Pool is crowded in the afternoon, also should be bigger.
Dont Like people drinking in the pool and bar in the pool.
Only few sun umbrellas, not enough for that big hotel.
Food is really expensive.

Volcano view from room is wonderful! Hot spring pool is great. Breakfast has lots of options and high quality. Staff and maid service are excellent! My kids really love the hot springs pool. Their spa service is also super value.
The only things we didn't like are the shower temperature keeps changing, and the AC stays at 26C no matter how you change. I wish they open their pool and hot springs earlier than 10AM.

The showers at the start where not hot enough and the pizza’s where horrible hence why we did not eat there during our stay . I don’t like the fact that we where told we get charged for lossing keys never happens in Uk

The location is excellent, well run resort, very nice rooms, even the standard rooms. Good view of the volcano and no road noise. liked the Hot water pool, even better at happy hour with their 2 for 1 special. Excellent breakfast
The cold pool was not available to use as it was having work done on it. We were not told about this when we booked or even after. But we were given a room upgrade to make up for it.

Very nice property and location. Extraordinary views of Arenal volcano. You can see and hear a lot of birds and other animals. Gardens were beautiful. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and service superb. The thermal pool was great, we had sushi and burgers at the pool in the evening. Thanks to Dylan, Edwin, and many others I can recall their names for an extraordinary service and welcoming.
The beds were extra firm but ok. My only recommendation is to change the pillows, too hard.

property was beautiful and very well maintained. Perfect view of the volcano. Location to downtown was great too. Pools and hot springs were very nice.
There is only 1 restaurant for dinner.

Manoa is absolutely beautiful! The view from our room was gorgeous- private and looked directly at the volcano. Location was terrific, pools beautiful and spa was amazing. We really enjoyed having dinner at the pool - tons of options - you can order from the expansive lunch menu at dinner time. Breakfast buffet was great too!
Our only complaint was that the room did not have enough storage space for a family of four. The closet should have some built in drawers or there should be a separate dresser. Breakfast hours could be a bit longer to accommodate early and late risers. Best to change to 6am - 10am.

Beautiful to walk around. Loved the hot springs pool. Excellent sushi! Delicious breakfast! Awesome view of the volcano.

The hotel was a "horizontal" complex in that all rooms were at ground level with just two rooms per building and the buildings are scattered throughout the property. As the rooms were on ground floor the view was limited, I guess because of privacy concerns by just stepping out the the door the the Arenal volcano is right in front of you, an amazing view! The breakfast was a well stocked buffet and the a la carte restaurant was also very good. For a less formal atmosphere we tried the excellent Sushi bar at the pool that is open til 10pm. (There is also a pizza place but we didn't try them). The staff were very friendly and helpful. Tours are available at the hotel and we took one to the volcano and another to jungle tour with suspension bridges. Both were good but we preferred the jungle tour. The thermal water hot pool was a great place to relax after hiking and sightseeing.
If you have a car and feel a little adventurous the "Rio Celeste" in the Tenorio Volcano National Park is worth the trip. Its about 90mins from the hotel but be aware that the walking trail in the park is about 5 to 6 Km to take in all the viewing points and places can be uneven. To get to the waterfall there are perhaps 200 steps down (and then back up again!)
There was not much we did like during our 3 night stay. Perhaps, for late risers, the breakfast buffet ended a little early at 9am (maybe 9.30) but this wasn't our case.

The pools - and hot spring pools - are beautiful. The restaurant has an amazing dining room that opens up to the jungle and stung view of the volcano
The food and services (massage) are pretty pricey; felt like we were back in San Francisco!

Loved having our own casita with ample parking space in front. The room was huge and clean, and stayed bug-free during our stay. Staff did an excellent job cleaning daily and we loved our direct view of Arenal from our beds.

The room attendants were amazing. We can back to our room looking great and always had a little towel animal.
The breakfast was great but the yogurt jars were almost all rusty which made us not comfortable eating them.

Excellent Breakfast set up. Excellent staff & management. Truly best gourmet prepared food. Did not expect. Your chef is so creative. Meat & fish dishes better than anything in the States. I'm happy to see how happy the cows live & are fed.
Really nothing. A suggestion to maybe let guests know at checkin that pizza prepared at outdoor cool pool & sushi at hot pool. Found this out a few days into our stay.

Beautiful rooms and views of the volcano
Rols on the front desk and the drivers were lovely
The wildlife around the hotel grounds including cayman, many birds including curaçaos, humming birds and buzzards, and butterflies
The evening restaurant staff and food did not meet the same standards as the rest of the hotel
