Blissful Birthday Retreat

Stunning views and serene ambiance, unexpected upgrade to a larger room accompanied by a delightful birthday cake and petal decoration adorning the bed.

The breakfast didn't quite meet our expectation.

A good place for relaxing

J’ai apprécié le petit déjeuner qui est sous forme du tout inclus ! Les chambres sont spacieuse et le lit très confortable.

La Clim n’a pas fonctionné pendant 2 nuit ce qui était compliquée. Les prix sont très cher à l’hôtel si vous souhaitez manger, et le spa est hors de prix également.

Selve byen kan ikke det store. Der var desværre storm de dage vi var der, så poolen var kold og stranden kunne ikke brug

Dejlig beliggenhed.

Tjenerne havde ikke styr på hvem der havde bestilt hvad, så der var kaos både under morgenmaden men specielt inder juleaften. Rengøringen af vores egen pool, den blev ikke rengjort mens vi var der, så den var fyldt med blade og andet skidt, der faldt ned.

Explorar Koh Samui

The hotel itself was stunning. Great views from pool, bar, and restaurant. Quite luxurious. Our room was a deluxe room with a plunge pool. The room was immaculate, the bed huge and very comfy. There was a fridge with a selection of soft drinks and beers. The restaurant serves a huge selection of local and international foods. The paths around the hotel were colourful and well maintained. The spa onsite is fabulous. Great to have no kids running about.

The plunge pool had hard plastic chairs rather than the blue cushions shown in the pictures. Our plunge pool and decking area got no sun at all, which was disappointing. The fridge could do with more of a selection. Ie. Gin and tonic rather than just beer. The service in the restaurant can be a bit slow. Lots of staff, but they don't give individual attention to your table. Ie. Lack of attention to needs. Ie. Drinks refilling, clearing of plates. (Too many cooks springs to mind) As we were leaving for the airport in our hotel car, someone literally ran after us to ask if we had eaten a packet of nuts, which we had not declared. (We had previously given them a note of the 1 x beer we had drunk the previous night when checking out.) We had bought our own of packet of nuts at the 7Eleven when we were at the market. So this was a bit of an overkill and a bit embarrassing and really quite unnecessary.

Very kind staff , good hotel

- The staff was extremely kind and welcoming. - the dinner was excellent - the room was clean and the bed comfortable - overall a very nice hotel if you like hotel vibes. It’s not a small unique place though, so it can give you the typical hotel vibes - max. 10 minutes to fisherman’s village by scooter

- WiFi basically not working in our room - almost no beach - many guests in the pool area so you had to be “quick” to get a sun lounger by the pool - if you don’t have a scooter I guess it can be boring because there’s nothing in close distance

Tolles Hotel, sehr nettes Personal und super zum entspannen!

Ausgezeichnet. Es war sehr schön und ruhig. Maenam ist etwas abgelegener und ruhiger als die belebten Umgebungen Chaweng und Lamai. Genau das was wir wollten. Man konnte super entspannen und das Personal war sehr engagiert und freundlich. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Wir kommen wieder.

Der Strand ist leider kaum vorhanden. Hat uns aber nicht gestört.

Wir hatten dieses Hotel gebucht, da ein Freund sehr begeistert vom Explorar in Koh Phangan war. Für die Zeit die wir auf Koh Samui verbracht haben wollten wir etwas zum Entspannen und dieses Hotel ist dafür der absolute Wahnsinn. Wir sind empfangen worden mit frischen Kokosnüssen und kalten Handtüchern, beim Check in wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass wir ein Upgrade von unserem Zimmer mit Whirlpool auf eins mit privatem Pool erhalten (Danke Booking Genius). Das Personal lässt keine Wünsche offen und hilft einem bei Buchungen für Aktivitäten, Empfehlungen, Shuttle zum Flughafen/Fähre usw. weiter. Das Hotel Spa ist sehr zu empfehlen! Wir hatten am ersten Regentag direkt eine Massage gebucht und waren davon so begeistert, dass wir am nächsten Tag direkt ein ganzes 4 Stunden Spa Programm gebucht haben (Body Scrub, Body Wrap, Massage, Blütenbad, Gesichtsbehandlung). Hier kommt wirklich jeder auf seine Kosten und es ist einfach eine Ruheoase. Das Personal an der Poolbar/Restaurant/Frühstück ist aufmerksam, erinnert sich an Sonderwünsche und haben diese typisch Thai-freundliche Art die aber nicht aufgezwungen ist. Wir empfehlen dieses Hotel zu 100% weiter und werden definitiv zurück kommen!

Explorar is an amazing Hotel 10/10 Amazing Pool Area and the beach directly in Front of the Hotel Gym and Spa also great, the Breakfast has many (healthy) and fresh options and the Coffee is great staff is super friendly and helpful

Brilliant stay, exceptional hotel

This was our first time staying at an adults only hotel and wow! what a difference it makes! it is so lovely. Very large and very comfortable bed. We loved our private pool, we didn’t actually use the main pool as we spent all of our time in our own. Very good restaurant with good food. Breakfast was exceptional with so much choice! AMAZING! The band on Tuesday nights were incredible, we absolutely loved listening to them, so talented and such a nice additional to our meal. Our room was set up with a complimentary honeymoon bed display which was really special. Good shuttle bus services which are free. Great co working area. We loved the bathroom bags too!

Prices in bar and restaurant are higher than other hotels nearby. To be expected of a resort but was the most expensive hotel we have stayed at in our month long trip to Thailand. We had a lizard in our room (not an issue at all, we would expect this in a tropical country) however we were very cautious of closing doors so it may be when room service are cleaning, they leave the doors open for some time, allowing them into the room.

Such a peaceful relaxing holiday, with great staff.

We wanted peace and qujet and Explorar delivered. The pool was a great place to relax, along with walks along the beach. The room was a great size with a lovely balcony to sit and watch the sunset.

Ok but wouldn’t choose to visit again

The villas are nice and modern but lack attention to detail. They have no sitting room / chairs etc outside or pool side day bed

The location isn’t ideal, the app they insist you install is intrusive. The staff are wonderful and try their best. The location and neighbours let them down

Relaxed and luxurious stay

The facility is very beautiful and well cared for. The rooms were nicely cooled and the staff was very friendly. At the pool it was great to relax and drink a few cocktails at the pool bar in between. We especially liked the breakfast, the selection was really great! One of the best breakfasts for sure!

Super relax!!!

That hotel provides very good food and cleanliness. The selection of food and fruit is varied. The staff is very helpful. The hotel has a nice and clean pool and spa with professional terapists.

There is no beach, in front of the hotel. We had to walk to the next beach .

Perfect stay

We loved it! The place is really beautiful with a very nice pool and direct access to the beach. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and the breakfast came with good variety. We thought it was good value for money and would recommend.

Amazing

Staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. The hotel was immaculately clean. Beach was beautiful and the food was good. Facilities were fantastic. Overall amazing experience.

The location is slightly away from a lot of the main attractions on the island ans taxis do cost a but more than other places in Thailand but the beach is gorgeous and quiet.
