The place was magical. We would highly recommend the accommodation and most especially the view.
The place was magical. We would highly recommend the accommodation and most especially the view. We were very comfortable, all necessities available in the kitchen and utility room. We loved the layout, the music, and the ambiance. We were 2 adults with our teenage children. Everyone was very happy and comfortable. We would recommend knowing that the nearest grocery store is Ballinrobe or Clonbur on the way to Cong. There is no wifi and perhaps bring a few DVDs with you if you don't like cable TV. We didn't mind as we don't watch TV, but others might. As there is no Wifi getting to find your way around the area takes time. To get to Clonbur head towards Lough Nafooey before the lake approx. 5 kilometers take your first left on top of the mountain. At bottom of that road take a left and continue this will bring you to Clonbur and eventually Cong. There are some exceptionally nice people around. If you want to go fishing contact the Lough Inagh Lodge as the locals are not that interested in these Covid restriction times. Lough Fee gorgeous area too... We hiked all over and we would highly recommend it as there is one lovely spot after another, and no one around!. Fresh air, Freshwater, and breathtaking views. Enjoy! Thank you to the owners for sharing this place!
A few directions for the area but that is being petty. See our comment and you'll be fine

Stunning location, super friendly owner - great communication
Miss communication between Booking.com information and property agency over deposit situation.

The view and location was great.
Location was amazing.
Key collection was a very unpleasant start to the trip. Communication could have been better and felt the property was overpriced.

Idyllic, remote getaway, but with some slightly disappointing discoveries.
The location was really remote, exactly what we wanted. The views were incredible. It was really idyllic and the house was decorated with lots of artwork, which can be seen in the photos, which made the atmosphere for the stay really gorgeous.
One big thing that I did not find to be clear on the listing was that the whole property that is pictured (the building) is not what you are booking. It is separated into two lodges, so we were not as isolated or alone as we had expected. It turned out to not be an issue as they are well separated, but we were disappointed on arrival that we were not going to be alone on our trip. A couple of things fell short, unfortunately. The BBQ was tiny, and there wasn't many "facilities" for it, so we ended up not using it really which was a pity cuz it was a big draw to the property, as we love cooking. Same to be said for the fire in the living area. There was no fire materials, which was disappointing. Only one bed was made, the one in the bedroom downstairs, but we wanted to sleep in the mezzanine, so we had to make that ourselves. We had to find the towels etc. in the house, because they weren't out in the bathrooms. Quite minor things, but it would have made the stay a lot better had it have been different.
