Fabulous location overlooking the Barbican. Great value for money. Great amenities and big, fluffy towels :)
Bedroom furniture looking a bit tired, could do with a bit of an update.

The location and views were fabulous and the bed was very comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean.
It's all very tired and there was no hot water in the sink. It's also on a macerator system which is very noisy when in use. The hallway had a badly broken chest of drawers outside our door with linens spilling out.

Clean sheets & towels
A tired room, a bit like students digs - needs some upgrading (like the ones at the front). Noisy water pump system. Horrible grubby view out the windows.

The location was ideal for what we wanted.
Antiquated beds, spring based so every movement made a noise so therefore very poor sleep. Mattresses hard too. We gad asked for a double but ended up with twin beds.
The room itself was very basic and the shower was extremely temperamental.

A basic hotel in an absolutely fabulous location on the wharf at the Barbican. Our room had a view over the harbour and though we could hear and see the noisy happy revelers on a Saturday evening, the noise didn't continue for long and we had a really good nights sleep in a comfy bed. An easy walk to restaurants and food outlets and the C-Op in Hoegate St. A great loaction for walkers on the SWCP, as it was right opposite the terminal for the Cawsand and Mount Batten ferry.
The shower was a little difficult to control, but not a big deal since the location of the hotel made it worthwhile to endure.

easy to find , excellent view, parking near by
plenty of eating places near by, private entrance to the rooms
rooms a little basic , a bit noisy could do with double glazing

Location. Everything else.
Bed could be more comfortable. Very squeaky.
Wardobe door difficult to open.

Location was excellent. Lots of pubs / bars & places to eat nearby. Lots of milk on the tea tray.
Room could've been cleaner, dirt / items left in drawers. Noisy neighbours. Pub shut early some nights but it was January.

Loved the location right next to the sea and the views. The bed was really comfy! Staff were friendly. The rooms had nice character! You couldn't hear the pub really as it was just up from it.
It was a shame we couldn't check in any earlier. There were some strange noise of the building during the night: leaky taps and creaking. It was hard to find the switch for the hot water for the shower.

Road a little noisy at night but not enough to ruin experience

Great location, it did the job. BEAUTIFUL view.
There were damp/leak stains on the wall, it could do with a lick of paint.

Spacious room and good furnishings. Helpful manager.
Some small items:
1) Kettle almost too large to collect water from basin.
2) No soap dish in the shower cubicle
3) It would have been good to have some decaffeinated coffee as well as ordinary.

No sea view, as in listing, but for the price I paid I understand why.

It was warm and friendly. The place was easy to get to.
Well. I had a few points but I would rather explain, with the actual ownership. I've been in the industry myself. As a development chef. For thirty years. So I hope to here back from them.

Fabulous view and great location
Stairs difficult to negotiate for older people like us, but there was someone to help carry luggage up them on check in. Slippery shower floor and no shower mat, which would solve the problem.

Friendly people, great location
Noisy fan running intermittently through the night outside our room. Bed tired and held up with stacks of books.

Cosy, comfortable room. Clean and included all I needed.
Great location for my visit.
Room was cleaned and tidied each day.
Simple check-in and out.
Wifi worked well.
Unsurprisingly for a room over a pub on the sea front in a tourist area there was noise from outside. However, this was not more than expected and was not a problem.
Trivial issue with faulty shower head in the en-suite.

Spotless room and great location would recommend very reasonable

Big room. Big en-suite. Good location on The Barbican. Good price. Tea & coffee available. Beds comfortable with good bedding.
Entrance hall and carpet. Decor could have done with a touch up throughout and cobwebs above en-suite door should have been cleaned.
Paper cups for hot drinks. Kettle too big to fill in sink.
