Sloppy standards.

Location is convenient.

A broken door caused me to get stuck in part of the apartment and unable to exit to the main living area. The emergency call line was not helpful. Instead of answering my calls they chose to text me every time I called., which is simply unprofessional and rude. They didn't send a maintenance employee they sent the receptionist who had initially checked me in. She proceeded to make the situation worse by blaming previous guests for stealing the door handle. When I told her the fault lay in maintenance not seeing the broken handle, she then proceeded to blame the house keeping team. I told her the fault lay firmly at the hands of her management team in not having regular maintenance checks completed prior to renting out to guests. She then made a further excuse that they have 90 properties so can't do this. I told her -then do not take customers money if you cannot provide the service. Her excuses made the whole situation worse. No empathy, no customer service skills, just a whole bag of sloppy excuses. I checked out a day early.

Would stay again if there were mattress protectors !

Nice friendly staff, beautiful old building. Large rooms. Big kitchen. walkable to many attractions, car park (for a fee).

Stained mattress and no mattress protectors (as mentioned by a previous reviewer). Early check in fee applies.

Lovely location. Fab suites, we have stayed in a few now. Really nice places.

Sometimes these are shockingly overpriced for one night. Also the deposit takes too long to be returned. (Still yet to receive mine a week later) also the private car park at the back should be included in the price. There's actually no need to charge. Its just greed. Checkout times could be later for the amount you pay. (Normall hotels/ suites charge 10 pounds later checkout, this company charges 10 per hour) It really adds up to a small fortune when every little charge is added to the stay.

there was a party in the flat upstairs of 40 youths, though staff did work to break it up successfully around 11pm and apologized the next day which was all they could do (not their fault)

Great if you don’t mind incessant phone calls

lovely space

staff phoned, messaged and emailed me incessantly starting two days prior to arrival, desperate to know my exact check in time. It was so annoying and so odd (I stay in hotels every week for work) I nearly cancelled the booking.

Check in felt a little pressured to give the exact time you would arrive, which can be difficult if traveling long distances etc. a lock key box would be much easier. However, the lovely lady met me only 5 mins after arriving at reception so I can’t complain too much.

Ideal place for a short stay if you’re after a central location and a comfortable nights sleep to round it off.

Great location. Swanky and comfortable. Reception staff were very accommodating and helpful.

Paying £12 a night (the advert actually said £10) for parking is rather steep when the property has a private care park where the staff cars park. Each suite could benefit from a single parking space included. A few bits of decor could do with being replaced - broken blinds and some damaged cupboard units. Only cosmetic however.

very warm, comfy property that i would be happy to stay in again, great easy communication

no breakfast available so can not comment on food / drink. lovely warm comfy room, easy checkin receptionist, friendly and helpful overall the positives way out the negatives and we were very happy

there was a car park on site (small 8 cars) but charged £12.50 /night so felt for location a bit steep. couple items in bathroom required attention (broken tile in shower & a draw that was falling apart) during the night there were a lot people running up and down the communal stairs which woke me up as this echoed around our bedroom

Beautiful, clean and high end apartment…but.

The apartment was beautiful. Overall fixtures and fittings were of a much higher quality then expected - very spacious and clean.

This is advertised as “family friendly” so we thought it would be ok to bring our six week old baby to stay here. However, I was put off by the use of this establishment by young groups of men and women who obviously were using this as a base prior to going out drinking in the city. When we arrived to check in at 4pm there was already a loud ruckus/deliveroo orders being dropped off to one of the ground floor apartments. We then heard all the groups coming back in the middle of the night, with the room above us settled down at about 6.30am. Based on other comments that this place is “quiet” might suggest this is an infrequent occurrence. Note to the hotel…don’t allow this place to become an 18-30 - and find a way to control rowdy groups. left unchecked it can get out of hand. this is an issue especially as you have no staff or security after 8pm.

Windsor suite

The location was ideal and the appartment light and airy.

The oven was dirty, there was hairs all over the bathroom along with a discarded fake eyelash, and a half eaten dessert left under the bed! Four of us were booked to stay. Only two recieved bedding. We tried to contact someone to get this sorted but no one answered the phone or emails, due to a fault with the systems. When we eventually got to speak to someone on our last day we were told someone would be in contact. We are now a month later and despite emailing we have had no answer. We will not be booking here again, which is a shame as it would have been perfect if all had been in order.

Relaxing stay for us and our dog.

Location was central to The Hoe, the Barbican and the shopping centre. All within short walking distance.

Bed settee cushions kept sliding forward. Other than that it was all excellent.

Lovely old property, love the high ceilings mixed with modern tech, lots of space and very comfy beds. Staff were brilliant and very welcoming. We will definitely use the property again and bonus to get a little discount if we do as a returning customer!

It was so hot! Even though we followed the thermostat instructions, it was still 22C. My husband also got an electric shock on the iron as plug backing was loose and fell off (he noticed afterwards).

Superb

The staff were always friendly and helpful. This is one of the best places I've stayed for years. Beautiful, elegant, stylish and exciting. The decor is brilliant, the beds are comfortable and it was quiet. Everything you'd need in the kitchen and an excellent shower.... What's not to love?!?!

That I wasn't staying longer.
