The location makes this a great base to explore the peaks.
The basic necessities are adequately covered. More information at the property about where to take the rubbish and recycling is needed. It was a shame about the fresh plastering work, making the property damp, as it was drying out, and giving it an unfinished look.

The welcoming gift pack it milk tea sugar biscuits n to pop it all off a bottle of fizz the
cleanness of the home on arrival.
Only thing I could really fault is the size of the shower cubicle been physically disabled (movement restrictions) was a bit tight even for my partner said it was tight. But cant really say was a dislike to the places

location suberb, beautiful little village

It was clean and homely. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well arranged and organised enough to prepare food and the dishwasher was a blessing with tablets. Wi-fi was also good. The location was easy to find via Google maps as it was just across the road from the royal oak pub/ restaurant which was amazing for food and you have an Aldi Store approximately 20 minutes away. Very quiet location; you get to see some horses, cows neighbours dogs and at least 2 cats in the yard and listen to birds in the morning. It was very handy location for visiting Alton Towers, we had plenty of routes to go to Alton Towers just expect some single track roads and some surprise cattle grids too.
It's in the country so as expected we saw a beetle on a carpet but honestly hard to find anything we didn't like and would definitely stay there again

Cottage needs a deep clean
Kitchen pans need discarding and replaced as rusty

A fantastic location for walking, set on a working farm, so expect a little noise but nothing excessive.
Super clean cottage, very traditional farm cottage decor and setting.
Beds are really comfy, bedding is fresh and soft.
It had everything we needed for a last minute get away with our 8 month old.
The owner even supplied travel cot and high chair, both in great condition.
A very well run, tidy and clean stay.
Nothing, those finding huge faults forget this is set on a working farm, and it's a converted barn. Water in the shower is hit and miss on warmth, but it was useable.
I read a review about no electric on their stay. When we arrived the power went off, the owner came to see us and apologised and updated us. Shortly after it came back on but its all out of the owners control, its a rural area it happens!

beautiful location
Cottage all electric with no contingency as we had a power cut for two days and no water for 1. obviously not owners fault but he did not check whether we needed anything or offer any assistance even though he lives next door and had a generator and fire and we didn’t even have a match to light a candle or any form of back up heating or cooking. when we asked him he begrudgingly filled up our flask once. we were snowed in and had it not been the community spirit of other locals and the pub in the village we would have had nothing

The Stable barn is located in the middle of peaceful village. The property is very clean and tidy.

Good location for walking. Clean and comfortable.
Cottage lacks a bit of TLC. Shower cubicle very small. The cubicle doors didn't fit properly. No where to put toiletries except on the shower base and there wasn't enough room to bend down and pick them up.
Some disturbance every morning
in the early hours. 5 am.
