Viaggio a Malta, estate 2024⛱️

Io e la mia famiglia abbiamo trascorso una settimana al db S.Antonio Hotel con formula all inclusive. Al nostro arrivo siamo stati accolti immediatamente con tanta disponibilità, la nostra camera era davvero ampia e pulita, idem il resto della struttura. Carina l'opportunità che ci ha permesso di variare location per la cena, potendo spaziare tra diversi ristoranti (italiano, cinese-giapponese, marocchino). Il buffet disponibile tutti i giorni per colazione, pranzo, merenda e cena, offriva verità di cibo di qualità e a qualsiasi orario. Inoltre era possibile bere drink alcolici ed analcolici, (esclusivamente analcolici per i bambini ovviamente). La posizione è risultata strategica e ci ha permesso di visitare con tranquillità Sliema, St.julian, Rabat, Mdina, Qawra. Le piscine, essendo numerose (è presente anche una piscina al chiuso), non risultavano mai sovraffollate, nonostante la quantità alta di persone riscontrata nella settimana a cavallo con il ferragosto. Il personale era sempre molto attento e a tal proposito un ringraziamento particolare lo vogliamo rivolgere al signor Fabio della reception che, essendo italiano, ci ha permesso di bypassare qualche difficoltà di comunicazione, chiarendo ogni nostro dubbio o curiosità con gentilezza e professionalità. Esperienza complessivamente positiva.

L'unica nota negativa era la presenza di bicchieri spesso lasciati ai bordi delle piscine. Alcuni bambini li utilizzavano come giochi immergendoli in acqua e improvvisando giochi di travaso lasciandoli poi galleggianti ed igienicamente non è il massimo. Anche se il personale cercava di far fronte a questa forma di inciviltà, era davvero difficile riuscire a togliere tutto tempestivamente.

Odpoczynek, kulinarnie, czysto - TOP

Jedzenie, czystość, personel hotelowy na bardzo wysokim poziomie. Na uwagę zasługuję Pani Dagmara oraz sympatyczny Pan Łukasz z recepcji, którzy w języku ojczystym mogą pomóc przyjezdnym z Polski którzy nie znają języka angielskiego. Baseny zadbane, codziennie rano sprzątane przez dużą ilość personelu hotelowego. Na barze na dachu szukajcie barmana "Diwas" - robi kapitalne drinki.

Jedyny minus to zajmowanie leżaków na głównym basenie przez gości już przed 7 rano. Co ciekawe, zaobserwowaliśmy że pomimo zajętych leżaków, goście nie pojawiają się na nich przez cały dzień, to jest nie do pomyślenia, żeby blokować leżaki i nie przyjść na basen przez cały dzień.

Completely overpriced, I wouldn’t stay here again. There is only 1 place for breakfast and lunch that’s open, so it’s rammed not a lot of choice for food until tea time to use all other restaurants, only 1 drinks despiser for water juice at breakfast & lunch so the queue were massive, only 1 serving station for your main meal so again big queue , you get nothing extra when you pay for all inclusive plus so complete waste of money, they closed the top pool& bar & 2 restaurants (only place for adults only and too smoke while we were there for a wedding from 4 pm (the wedding party wasn’t staying in the hotel) in the afternoon even though we had paid extra for this, but they don’t offer anything in replace, lifts are a complete joke staff don’t explain how they work. a lady who is supposed to come and fill the fridge and leave water at the start of holiday she was completely rude and told me we didn’t have that in our package even though I showed her the paperwork and we had a gold wristband on she still said no, I had to phone reception to ask and they said we did have this and sent someone else’s to fill the fridge no apologies at all, I ask for an iron for 3 days to be told the on the 3 Rd time of asking there is a room one on a different floor (4) to use but there is no information about this nor did they tell me this from reception. the air conditioning is extremely weak. Extremely disappointing

Lovely hotel

Clean hotel. Nice individual resturants. Nice adult pool and adult bar on rooftop. Food in all the resturants was nice.

Too many children and rude foreign travellers. Very large hotel and large self service restaurant. As much as its very large, it's also extremely busy. People pushing and very loud. No burger bar/toasties bar during the lunch afternoon. Plenty of food but you need to go to the restaurant.

Overall a fair hotel but could be improved

Roof top pool and bar was great, especially at sunset. Comfortable spacious room and bathroom Helpful staff Lovely spa treatment

While plenty of food and choice , it was like a noisy canteen with poor quality food. There were themed restaurants but still buffet style. The resort was unattractive 1970s style. The bedroom was spacious but described as having a balcony, when in reality it overlooked a back street and air conditioning units and was so tiny you couldn’t put a chair on it. The rooftop was lovely but needs some shade

Very disappointed compared to other Db establishment, Db Seabanks.

Liked the room. Location is good. Liked the speciality restaurants, Yusan and Tagine.

Lifts Layout of hotel, doesn’t work for someone with mobility problems. Accessibility of indoor pool Food was undercooked especially vegetables, almost raw. Repetitive. No private space, tables very close to each other in restaurant. Sun beds crammed together at the outdoor pool. Lack of daytime entertainment…..nothing organised for wet weather by animation team.

First and foremost, and to be fair, the STAFF at db San Antonio in St Paul's Bay, Malta were wonderful - very friendly, helpful, and most importantly they were welcoming and kind to my young son. Especially the animation/Kid's Club team. So I don't wish for any negative points to reflect on the majority of people who worked at this location - they were great overall.

That said, and from extensive travel experience across all ranges? This hotel was really lacking in some areas: from the old and uneven carpeting, the clear decay and lack of upkeep in many spots, the baffling elevator setup that confused countless guests, the broken heating and TV in our room, the mold and mildew in the air, and the utter lack of ambiance or design in the dining hall, main bar, and other prime locations...it was hard to imagine a world where this would be considered a 4-star hotel, especially by western European standards. At least the food was decent, albeit repetitive (and the vegetable courses limp and overcooked). Not that we could try any other restaurants related to the faciliity, as they were pre-booked too far in advance, with my young son unable to attend post-9pm seatings. Very disappointing. In the end, even when my son and I ate our fill 3x per day (and with a supposed 'holiday discount' for the all-inclusive package), I didn't really feel like we got our money's worth. I'd be open to giving the chain another try if these issues were addressed, but it's hard to imagine anyone investing the money required to bring this experience up to the standards required.

Everything!! Staff are so friendly, range of facilities were amazing and the food options were the best! I went to the spa twice it was so nice 10/10 recommend to everyone! I will be returning again next year and already counting the days down to my stay!

Staff were amazing!!! Especially Martin at reception, sujesh who cleaned our room to perfection(he also decorated our room as a surprise for my partners 40th birthday!) The rooftop bar staff were fantastic! Such lovely talented bar staff and great crac!! Especially at the white night with their juggling skills!! The food was so so good! Such amazing choice and quality!! If someone is complaining about food then they have the problem not the hotel!! Facilites, entertainment etc all wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!😁

The dreaded lifts!!!! You learn to get on with it but they definitely do have an impact on your stay! The system makes no sense and you waste alot of time waiting for a lift!🙈

This is the second time I have visited db San Antonio in 2022 because the first time simply wasn't enough. I visited with my girlfriend, two children and my two parents - both times - and we all loved it. I find it hard to say anything bad about the place; the bar staff, the entertainment staff, the cleaners, restaurant and maintenance teams are all fantastic and take a real pride in their work. The shared toilets are kept cleaner than I can ever dream of keeping my own bathroom!I've read reviews with people complaining about the food which makes me upset, and frankly compelled to write this review; do they have any idea how hard it is to cook such a variety of interesting and delicious food for over 1000 people three times a day? Well neither do I, but I bet it's really really hard. A logistical and operational challenge that the restaurant teams make look easy three times a day. Thanks to all at the db San Antonio. You made our vacations this year especially memorable.

- Excellent all inclusive package. There was a great variety in food with many choices. We really enjoyed that we could choose among 5 different cuisines for dinner. - All staff were great, very helpful and kind. - the room was cleaned very well every day ans other areas in the hotel were very clean - It was great that one of the swimming pools was adults-only as we could relax without children among us :) - Great indoor pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. They weren't busy at all in late afternoon and could definitely enjoy it. - Spa treatments were great, the staff were really experienced and knowledgeable. Prices were also very reasonable for the quality. - The location was great, there were buses to various locations if someone wants to explore the island.

Can't really find any cons, I would definitely recommend it.

They claim it is all inclusive but it is not. Lots of things are not included and you will be charged. Not worth it. Will not be going back here again personally.
