The staff is great. Very polite And supportive. Super nice and helpful. The spa was great as well. We booked 3 treatments each and it was wonderful.
Overall experience - disappointment. We came especially from the other end of the country to celebrate a birthday. We were looking for a hotel that included meals because Tiberias is a city that is mostly closed on Friday and Saturday and we chose the Scottish Hotel because we hoped that the fact that it was not kosher would guarantee us that the food would be served fresh. The food at dinners was cold, felt reheated and not fresh. We ate salads and breads and left the dining room hungry and were looking for something to order to eat - but as mentioned, the Tiberias area is closed at the end of the week. The furniture in the room is old, in such a way that there is a stale and suffocating smell. The pool is inhabited by guests from outside the hotel who behave as if it is a youth hotel - drinkers curse, shout and disturb the sense of peace that was promised to us. The edge of the pool was dirty with bird droppings. We are very disappointed and definitely do not recommend. There is no justification for the high price, absolutely no value for the price.

Location is perfect. The architecture and design are delightful. There is a calm elegance.
The very high price included dinner. However, guests were not given a served meal in the dining room but only allowed into a buffet self service. This is not the elegance expected. The buffet food was prepared well in advance, left standing and hence the cooked food was mediocre.

It's beautiful down to the last detail. The property has a wonderful history as a hospital in the Galilee serving all, and continues that service ethic today. Complimentary gifts were left in our room daily with brand names and business practices promoting peace and unity. The daily buffet is a culinary and visual feast...just astounding. It was our favorite stay in a two week trip of 4 and 5 star hotels.
I would've appreciated if the front desk would've shown me which buildings to go to when looking for our two rooms, as there are several, and our rooms were indeed in different buildings. That extra gesture to point them out would've been helpful. Someone standing in the courtyard did finally help us.
