CHER-PAS CHALEUREUX

La localisation et l'architecture.

le manque d'un accueil chaleureux , le fait qu'ils ont gardé $1800 pendant un mois après j'ai quitté l'hôtel (j'ai payé ma facture en espèces mais ils ont bloqué ma carte de credit pendant un mois!) Au resto fameux pour le steak, j'ai reçu un morceau de viande pas assez cuit et l'autre trop cuit. Le service était très pressé et le restaurant n'avait pas aucun ambience plaisant. La deuxième nuit au restaurant chinois , j'avais une table au fond du resto à côté des toilettes. Tous les bons tables sont réservés pour les clients pas comme moi. En fait il y avait trois tables au fond avec les clients pas chinois-singaporiens. :-) Les couloirs de l'hôtel étaient sales surtout les éléments en bois et toujours bruyant avec les personnes de ménage. Une fois, devant ma fenêtre il y'avait des ouvriers sur le toit quand je me déshabillais. Souvent il y avait des événements à l'hôtel que bloquait l'accès à l'escalier avec les décorations moches. Pas cohérent avec la 'classe' et l'histoire de Goodwood.

Old world charm and luxury

I love this hotel. Its an old world experience and is a low-rise hotel with 2 pools set it gardens, unlike pretty much every other hotel in Singapore which are multi-storey towers. Good restaurant/bar options and an easy walk to Orchard Road which is the main shopping district. Large rooms and very quiet. Best beds of any hotel I have stayed in.

Great , will go again and spend more time relaxing at the hotel, No so much running around.

one of the nicest hotels that we have ever stayed at. our rooms had plenty of room - nicely furnished and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Pool was great. Wonderful breakfast.

A quiet and nice place to chill but the rooms and building have seen its better days.

Most of the staff were friendly and helpful except for one but the rest compensated for that. The location is of course superb as it's in the city. We liked that although it's in the city, we still feel calm and serene. It's a quiet and nice place to rest.

We stayed at the Parklane Split Level Studio Suite, it is a nice layout however, the place would have seen its better days. Quaint but the rooms need to have a facelift. Perhaps on hindsight, we should have taken the room in the main building as we would have assumed that the rooms and building would have been maintained better.

Bad, very disappointing. Apparently repeat guests are not appreciated.

I like this hotel and stay often. Generally the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and well appointed, room service is excellent.

I was checking out early in the morning as I usually do. I had a car and driver waiting for me in an area where casual parking is normal. The driver has parked there many times, waiting for me. On this occasion the hotel staff harassed my driver and then woke me up at 12:00am to complain about my driver. The staff was very rude and I will not stay at this hotel again.

5つ☆の中ではリーズナブル

部屋がきれいで広い。シャワーが使いやすい。テレビは世界のNEWS、スポーツ等30チャンネル程。NHKも見られる。朝食バイキングも美味しい。

オーチャードから少し歩く。ロビーまで坂道になってるので、歩行や荷物で大変ならタクシー利用がおすすめ。

Great location in the heart of Singapore.

The location was ideal for our stay.

Tired furniture/decor let us down. Issue with Aircon but it was resolved quickly by staff.

Very pleasant hotel, good location, and not too big

We wanted a different view, and they accommodated that, despite being very full. They also arranged for our luggage to be sent on the way to the airport, that was very helpful.

We requested a softer pillow, and they did not have one. "All our pillows are soft!" we were told. Well, yes, maybe so, but I asked for a softer one.

Was memorable and comfortable! Wonderful experience.

The historical aspect of the hotel, the room is spacious and comfortable! Swimming pool is pretty and front desk staff and Deli staff are very friendly and helpful!

Would be good to install bidet in the bathrooms and offer halal food options for Muslim guests.

Not having the room with a balcony which we had booked quite a while ago ,but it was rectified the next day. having to ask for soap. Money held back when we had paid in full when leaving.

Excellent in all domains particularly the cheeses! Superb food at your famous Chinese restaurant!!

The plumbing was substandard in my bathroom and toilet fixtures were a bit worn away. The table tops and carpets were not cleaned satisfactorily. Besides these issues everything about your hotel was faultless!

Location just off Orchard Road was great for shopping

Tired, poor upkeeping and low cleanliness standard

location.

There were bits of dirt and even rice found in the bed, between the sheets and the the blanket, and between the blanket and that decorative cloth that they put on the top of the bed. While housekeeping was very apologetic, she used her hand to pat away the dirt onto the floor and changed the blanket cover ONLY (not the bed sheet). and with the decorative cloth (which looks very dirty and old, not sure how it is decorating..) she rolled it up and placed it into the cabinet. i.e. together with the dirt and rice. I wonder why not take it away and have it washed?

Had a restful and relaxing stay

this is my second stay at The Goodwood. I love it’s a historical building, although it has a modern extension. it’s situation makes you feel you are in a peaceful oasis far away from the noise of Orchard Road. the pool is just a heavenly place to relax in. the rooms are spacious with plenty of storage and beds are comfortable. The staff are friendly and willing to help . I came to Singapore after a 13 hour flight with a terrible migraine, unfortunately. The counter staff were extremely helpful and ensured I didn’t need to wait too long for my room so I could sleep. can’t thank them enough. I love the personal touch that you cannot find in large high rise hotels.

Poor value for money

Great location right next to far east plaza and a short walk to orchard road

The rooms are very dated, hotel badly needs a renovation, breakfast was limited and there was no egg station. What a pity because this grand old dame could be so lovely with some TLC. You can stay in nicer hotels at this rate.
