Area was decent. Close to beach.
The listing is misleading. they don't mention scaffolding on the main listing but only after you make the booking. The scaffolding is extensive and actually ruins the view and very unsightly.
Breakfast was a continental joke. Nothing seemed fresh, it was just sliced bread, coop croissants and some spreads. Lady very unapproachable and dismissive
4.1
It’s located right near the prom and not far from the shops restraints plenty cash points and the staff are very friendly and helpful the property is very clean even though there was work being done on the property we wasn’t disturbed at all we would recommend Carmel house
4.1
The position of the property is lovely
Bedroom good size and clean
Bed comfy
We know that they are having work done at the moment but we didn’t until we booked and paid …
No one to greet you
Lots of bags of laundry on one of the landings
Breakfast was dire , dirty cutlery with dried food on , bowls and cups dirty , they all need a good clean .. supposed to be continental breakfast … very little choice …. no orange juice no croissant empty apple juice cartons, very little butter no fruit only banana and apple
again we understand there is building work going on but in our opinion they shouldn’t be open .. we saw one young lady walking around in socks supposedly cleaning the tables and that was the only human we saw apart from a couple who were having breakfast same time ..
4.1
Clean tidy - nice location for stroll around the bay. Free parking on street.

Really beautiful views from the window and great location. Staff responded to our problem swiftly. Decor was fresh looking.
The yoghurt was out of date at breakfast and I ate it before I realised. There were a few black curly hairs in the bath room which were not ours. We were given the wrong key to the door so we couldn’t look our door when we left the first day. It said it had parking but it was just on street parking in front of the property and there were no spaces when we first arrived. We had to park miles away and lugg all of our stuff.

Great location ,nice breakfast
4.1
Very clean breakfast was good the staff who we met was very friendly
We are both in our early 60s the amount of stairs to get to room was too much
4.1
Breakfast could have been better. Not really continental.
4.1
Location
Properly not as described
Not informed regarding scaffolding up at the front of the building and no hot breakfasts until after booking
Mountain and garden view was a back yard with a falling down garage. We could see the mountain in the distance
Windows draft with mild
No staff on site . In the information was advised if we run out of toilet paper to help our self from behind the empty reception desk
Not sure how this can be advertised as a hotel

Room was bright and airy and in great condition. I had a sea view and could sit and relax and look at the lovely view. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good .
please ditch the instant coffee at breakfast.
4.1
Everything was perfect, room was clean, bed comfortable and breakfast good . It was exactly what we wanted. Jess was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely use Carmel again.
4.1
Lovely little place. Very clean and well kept.
It is at the far end of Llandudno so very quiet at night but quite a walk into town . Free parking on the roads - always a bonus 🙂
Would definitely stay again
Cooked breakfast would have been nice - continental was good with lots of choice.
4.1
Excellent value for money.
Clean, comfortable, good quality bed linen and towels.
Jess was helpful, friendly and informative.
The continental breakfast far exceeded our expectations (especially as it was out of season with few guests) with a wide choice of cereals, bread, pastries, crumpets etc fresh fruit, fruit juice, yoghurt, cheese jams etc
Filter coffee was a huge bonus ( I don’t drink instant)
No bar however The availability of soft and alcoholic drinks which could be taken and paid for in cash via a honesty box is a fabulous idea. We didn’t use this facility but would be disappointed if if wasn’t available on our next stay and hope it doesn’t get abused.
We also like the location as we enjoy the stroll into town and prefer to stay in a quieter area where parking is more readily available.
10am check out a little early for us 11am would be more attractive

Loved it definitely staying again

Bright airy, comfortable room, very well decorated, spotless bathroom etc , and a lovely hostess Jess who answered my questions & took the time for a wee chat ...
Hope to return in the New Year ...
No quibbles, in fact pleasantly surprised in a good way of its standard
4.1
Location, very good continental breakfast, comfy bed. Just about reached the value for money mark.
Room (9) not really worthy of 'king' status, apart from the bed to which it refers, the room was quite small, only one bedside table, loose headboard. The bathroom floor was tiled and like walking on ice (very cold) needs underfloor heating. bathroom also has a very large window that makes it cold, small towel radiator doesn't make a lot of difference. Odd issue with TV the picture is too large for the screen and no way to alter size (as is usaual on modern remote controls). The general decor wasn't bad but the shower could have been cleaner, it is in need of a deep clean. Shaver socket and mirror light didn't work and only one ceiling downlight working. Hopefully the exterior kerb appeal will be better when the building work is finished, there appears to be investment being made in what should be,with a little upgrading, a very nice hotel in the future.
4.1
Cosy place in good location with free parking on the street.
Old windows, none of them could be closed properly, what in cold season made bathroom rather cold.
4.1
It was a spotlessly clean lovely room, even had two wine glasses, much appreciated.
Breakfast was fantastic, we are not into a full cooked brekkie so this was right up our street and as much as you wished. Our host was constantly topping everything up and wearing gloves to do it.
Very clean and hygienic.
Nothing
4.1
nice and clean room, good location, spacious room.
the bed could be bigger, an extra blanket would have been helpful. The breakfast was very basic and felt like breakfast with ALDI/Lidl products.
4.1
Location, room, and the staff.
4.1
The situation was good with free parking. We had a lovely warm welcome from Jess. Self check in was very efficient. The room was clean, light and airy with shower room, and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was self service with an excellent selection to choose from. We will definitely stay here again.
Nothing 😊
4.1
Good location and easy parking , excellent breakfast spoilt for choice
There was renovation works with scaffold at front of building, but we where informed of this before we arrived , it didn’t spoil our stay and next time we stay hopefully all work will be completed

Nothing we went 2 years ago and it was lovely room good breakfast good had toiletries such as shampoo shower gell etc all in little individual bottles Clean Bathroom and shower
None of the above. Think it has been taken over. Staff very rude and breakfast was very poor. Asked why we hadn’t been given the toiletries and was told they never have had them. Which was not true. Hairdryer didn’t work properly loose floor tiles in bathroom and 1biscuit to have with tea coffee which we didn’t have shower was mouldy in places. Cold didn’t put heating on. Booked 2 nights but checked out after one and also cancelled my stay in November
4.1
It was clean
Clinical and unwelcoming, continental breakfast was awful, all prepackaged. Tv on full blast in breakfast room.! Not for us
4.1
Breakfast was what we expected
View from our room was overlooking back of property.
It could do with tidying up.
4.1
Breakfast was ok the views were very good
All the steps to get to the top floor, water at breakfast was Lukewarm. No handle on the bedside cabinet, bathroom door didn’t close properly, the floor was not clean there was dirty hand prints on bathroom wall, and the bed was very uncomfortable, and it was to far to walk to the pier and town centre where the shops were
4.1
Incredibly clean and in a very quiet area. A real wow factor when you opened the door - all white and bright.
The bathroom appeared new and clean with good toilet paper!
No shelves in the bathroom. Had to put our toiletries on the floor. No block soap - thankfully I’d taken some!
4.1
Good location and clean. Each check in.
Currently looks like a building site, our ‘mountain view’ room was staring into a dirty carpark.
Not enough towels, there was no floor Matt for the shower. The shower flooded and because it was late at night when we arrived no one was there to assist us and we couldn’t shower.

Lovely place would definitely go again 👍
Nothing

4.1
Excellent breakfast.
Reception staff very helpful and friendly
No faults with this property
4.1
Lovely clean room and en-suite with sea view although scaffolding is up the view was only blocked slightly and as we knew it was there before we got there didn’t bother us at all it is quite a walk from the pier but as long as your able to walk or have means of wheelchair etc won’t be problem as it’s lovely and flat, breakfast had a lot to choose from and Jess was very friendly and helpful plenty of parking options on the front or side roads had a great nights sleep
4.1
Close to our party venue.
Cushions on the bed were dirty. Stains on the bedroom floor carpet. Breakfast food stuff not replenished. Some towels were worn.
4.1
Nice & clean
Only continental breakfast avail, all a bit chaotic in the breakfast room, poor layout.
4.1
Clean and warm
No one to greet you
