We were right next to the nature center and the ropeway. There was also a little nature path very near the hotel. I loved the hot baths - very clean. The meals were excellent - dinner and breakfast. The ropeway had a convenient cafe for lunch.

Excellent and helpful staff and the location is perfect for hiking and going up the ropeway. The meals were varied and abundant. I loved hanging out in the comfortable library when it was too hot to be outside. Easy to arrive on a bus from Asahikawa airport if you can arrive before 4pm. Otherwise you have to hire an expensive taxi like I did. But the hotel was very helpful in arranging a taxi for me.
Sadly one of the reasons I booked here was because of the onsen but it was a BIG disappointment. They wouldn't allow you to be outside (because they said hikers could see you (as if I care!!) and it was way too lit up to enjoy it.

Great location
Modern, big rooms
Friendly staff
A huge praise for the receptionist who was very friendly and competent and spoke a lot of different foreign languages
We stayed for 2 days. The dinner buffet was exactly the same on the 2 days. It was of good quality but a bit of change would have been appreciated.

The room was huge! Since there wasn't much to do in the area after hiking, I enjoyed the facilities offered by the hotel -- sauna, dinner and breakfast buffet.
They even had a laundry area on the 3F.

Very kind. Not bad.
Key, looks like old.

Delicious breakfast and dinner were included. Manager ("Mac") and staff were courteous and cheerful.
Offer shiatsu massage.

Onsen and food excellent

Almost everything, a very cool library. The recycled bag as gift per room was very nice and it is a very useful souvenir. We have been using for the rest of our trip.
The outdoor open bath was closed.

Perfect location for hiking.
The staffs are very nice and hospitable.

Wonderful room, great food, excellent staff - what more could you ask for?
Not the hotel’s fault but the doorway was closed for maintenance so harder to get up Mt Asahidake. Excuse to spend more time chilling in the fabulous room!

The newly renovated rooms are absolutely beautiful.
The bathroom was a bit quirky, and there was an unpleasant smell in the hallways and public areas.

Hotel is new and clean.

Staff were absolutely superb, cannot fault them at all. Amenities like library Onsen and ski room and foyer were excellent , unfortunately the bar was shut due to snow damaging the windows and perhaps should have safeguards to prevent such damage. The staff were quite happy to serve beers where ever since the bar was not open.

Breakfast buffet and dinner buffet are good. Hotel facilities are exceptional. I would like to specially thanks hotel staff Mr Maekawa Hisashi for giving his helping hand when our car were stranded in snow storm and unable to move during our late check in day. He came and pick us up personally in the wee hours of 4am in the morning and arrange car tow to bring our car back to hotel later in that morning. Special compliment to Mr Maekawa Hisashi. Other staff are also freindly.
My fiancee feel that the bed is abit hard. And i would like to specifically point out a male staff by the name of Fukuoka who did not allow us to change our seating during dinner time on 28th Dec. He claimed that the seats has reservation. We ignore as we do not think there are any reservation required for the seating. I feel Mr Fuluoka was bias towards us and not sincere in the seating arrangement. The other female staff who on duty with him is helpful and allowed us to change our seats.

It was the largest single room in my life.
fully renovated, super clean and modern.
Staffs were really friendly and the dinner buffet was amazing! I didn't know it was buffet actually.
This hotel is the closest hotel to ropeway.
Also, there's bus stop in front of the hotel.
This was so convenient.
+ the library on 2nd floor was amazing with free coffee and tea.
I hoped there have been Rosenburo, which is outdoor onsen.

We came in for hiking at Asahidake. The location can’t be beat. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. The room was the most spacious I’d seen in Japan. I loved the movie room and the lounge on the 2F. Tea and snacks were provided.

Great location - the closest walk from the Asahidake Ropeway less than 5 minutes. The hospitality provided by the staff were great.
There were plumbing sounds in the middle of the night which made it difficult to sleep. The food was sub-par for the price paid but overall pleasant.
4.4
The staff were super helpful and friendly. A great hotel from which to explore the Asahidake national park—it is located directly next to the very informative visitor center and the ropeway. Large and comfortable rooms. The Onsen is very nice. Breakfast and dinner included a wide variety of good food.

Lovely location and great onsen
AC unit old school and didn’t work too well.
4.4
In a short walking distance from ropeway.
Good buffet variety for both dinner and breakfast.
The room is very hot in a day time during summer since there is no cooling system (only heating).
Onsen could be better cleaned - there was a lot of mold, even on a shower hose.
4.4
Confortable place with very good Onsen.
Perfectly located next to the ropeway

The breakfast and dinner are to die for! If you're looking for a good place that offers complimentary breakfast, look no further than this place! Best breakfast I've had in a long time. Location is also very close to the Asahidake Ropeway that can take you up Mt. Asahidake to a nice viewpoint. The onsen is really neat, and everything is kept very clean. Staff is also really helpful, even though they don't speak fluent English, they still try to help as best they can.
We got lost a bit getting to the property because we didn't realise that Asahidake Onsen is a general area and they have many different hotels. That's the only setback we have, but the hotel staff generously pointed out where we needed to go so it's all good in the end.
