This was the perfect place for me to stay as a young woman traveling alone. I felt so safe, the terrace was amazing, and the woman at the front desk was extremely helpful. Without me even asking she explained the layout of the city, provided me with a map and circled bike rental locations. She also helped me find a place to store my luggage for an entire day after I checked out. The location was perfect - I walked everywhere. Being so close to the beach and the old town was amazing.

The property would have been ok if it had been reasonably priced at an eye-watering €197 a night - even over Easter - it was a total rip-off.
This is less a pension than a flat cheaply converted into 8 rooms. Ours had an unrequested seat view (no balcony). All the rooms are tiny and though there were two chairs they were not ones you would spend anytime sitting in (eg to admire the view). There was no plug in the sink and the towels were thin. The shower head fell off the wall with any decent water pressure and had to be hand-held. The rooms were cleaned. There was erratic tea and coffee. The reception I never saw manned except on arrival. The electronic booking system failed to issue a booking code (I heard other people complaining of this) and the number to call took 40m to answer which was frustrating at night after a long drive. The room is not as it appears on the website, in the booking.com pictures or insta. Had the room been 80-100 a night it would have been fine. It is horrendously overpriced for the little that it is. Well situated but nothing in San Sebastián is very far away. It isn’t a huge town.

La cosa più bella è la vista della stanza. Fenomenale!!! Il oceano senti quasi entrare nella stanza.
L'unica pecca, il frigo super mini. Non ci entra neanche una bottiglia.

We have been robbed in this "hotel" !!!!
We had booked this pension because the photos with balconies overlooking the seaside were very appealing and the reviews are quite good.
1ST SURPRISE - this “pension” is half a floor of a completely standard building, a building without any charm, nor the pension for that matter.
2ND SURPRISE - there was scaffolding on the side of the building where our room was and that the view was almost totally obstructed. On Booking, they indicate on in the paragraph "To Know" - Due to renovation work on the facade of the NEIGHBORING building, noise disturbances are to be expected between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. This did not correspond to the reality as the scaffolding and the works are directly on one of the facades of the pension, at least for the rented room, and this was mentioned NOWHERE, otherwise we would have not booked this room!
On our arrival, they offered to change establishment and reimburse us for our stay, which we tried to do. Obviously, due to high season, everything was full in San Sebastian. There were only 2 or 3 establishments left but overpriced.
3TH & WORST SURPRISE EVER - So we stayed, and after the 2nd day, we got robbed in the bathroom while we were sleeping!! All of my girlfriend's jewelry was stolen. And there was a fairly large sum. The theft most certainly occurred by someone who climbed the scaffolding (the pension was only on the 2nd floor of the building) and entered the bathroom through the window. We have left the bathroom window open for the fresh air, we couldn't imagine that no protection against intrusion detection had been put in place, during the works, no alarm on the scaffolding, no cameras, just accessible for anybody to climb up to your room!
Apart from the moral trauma for my companion, who lost all of her jewelry, the pension refused to take ANY responsibility and suggest we met in court.
Shame on you and see you in court.

The view from our room was beautiful and pleasant, as we asked for a room with seaview. The pension is in front of a very nice museum, the San Telmo Museoa, where we could see a perfectly curated Chillida and Oteiza exhibition and an interesting photobook pick. Also, the rest of the museum about Euskadi is very didactic and is nicely curated. We have to say the pension is situated in San Sebastián’s old town, where all the pintxos bars are and we could make a good degustation. Ainara and her husband are very nice and helped us in finding restaurants and taxis.
The pension needs renovation. Actually, they were starting reparations outside the building but it needs some renovations in the bathrooms. The towels and sheets looked very used and there was no coffee in our room, just tea for one day… so we bought a little pot of Nescafé.

Clean, and quiet at night yet only a few minutes walk to the bustling streets of old town. You can walk to everything, including the beaches on both sides.
The best? Your own private balcony to watch the sun rise and set in the ocean.
Nothing. The single beds are quite narrow, but this wasn’t a problem.

Simple, rather small, but all is good. Bed is comfortable, shower is good. Has hair dryer. Balcony, overlooking mountain and side view to the sea. Ceiling fan. Very close to old town and all nice restaurants. Up to 15 min walk to the beach. Small desk. Checkin very easy - access to all doors (building and apartment) by code, very convenient. Would recommend.
