We were met with a home baked loaf and jam in the property on arrival which was a lovely touch and delicious.
The kitchen was well equipped and made staying in a few nights possible as it was cosy and felt like a home not a property.
The only thing we had a slight issue with was the very low bed. It was very comfortable once in and it was a beautiful wrought iron frame, but very low to the ground, which made it difficult for me to get up from. It was a minor point but the only issue.

Very peaceful. Very private. Little chairs and table outside for breakfast and supper.
Double doors opening out onto green whilst enjoying a cup of tea in bed.
Gary likes to provide a loaf of fresh bread upon arrival - this and his good jam and other goodies was most welcome.
Gary is very relaxed and accommodating, he made space in the shed for our bikes and was there to meet us with the offer to help to unload. He provides excellent info about the area including detailed walking maps.
It is very well equipped for self catering. Towels, tea towels etc.

The property was very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Quite location to walk the dogs from the door.
No local amenities, pub’s restaurants or shops. V Narrow country lanes to drive. Limited internet service.

Nice welcome pack. Plenty of tea and coffee. Milk in the fridge 😋. Very clean. In the country. No real traffic noise. Lovely garden.
It was not totally safe for dogs as the drive was short and open gates to a lane. There was some traffic 😒 but our dogs were small and they don't go far without us so it was not a problem but a bigger dog that likes to run might be.

This was a self catering location, but freshly cooked and warm bread on arrival, with jam and butter was so welcoming. Also fresh milk in the fridge and a couple of eggs so we could have a drink and snack when we arrived.
The hosts were cheerful and friendly, but also gave us our privacy to come and go as we pleased, but offered help should we need it. We would definitely stay here again.

Nicely furnished & clean warm & cosy.
it wasn’t ideal for our late car as the lanes so narrow & a bit harrowing at times. No issues at all with cottage.

We want a little place away from everything and this place delivered. Beautiful view, beautiful walks, friendly people. Only a short drive into kings bridge. The town had everything you needed from bakers, supermarkets, butchers.

Everything about the cottage was pure quality. Very well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds, mattress and pillows. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Gardens and views wonderful. Welcome pack with home made bread, butter, jam and milk on arrival. Bread was delicious. Hosts were very friendly, gave us plenty information regarding local walks, beaches and pubs. We will definitely return and would not hesitate to recommend to our friends.

Homemade bread was amazing. Beautiful location and lovely cottage. Super clean, fresh and comfortable.
Great for a walking holiday but tricky if you are attending events. Expensive taxi trips needed.
Big fluffy towels were lovely but shed fluff everywhere.

Attractive, clean, tasteful, well-equipped annexe in beautiful, rural area yet close to coastal towns.
Combination of poor mobile reception and weak wi-fi signal makes communication difficult.
Narrow local lanes not for the faint-hearted.

Added extras, quiet retreat, friendly hosts who even arranged a changeover half way through our stay, to swap with other members of the family - thank you so much.

location was great for walking.

Wifi at property never visible despite many attempts. Host's wifi x 2 visible but secured.
Winter weight feather duvet unsuitable due to our feather allergy.
No blanket / sheet alternative.
Taps on shower failing, Fridge freezer box unuseable

A wonderful home from home. So comfortable in every respect. The roads leading to the house were typically Devonian, which at first was rather alarming, but the journey was definitely worth the effort. The area is beautiful and so peaceful. A delightful garden for private use was a bonus. We appreciated the eggs and the freshly baked bread. The owners were easy to communicate with, too.
There was nothing negative.

Beautiful accommodation, exquisite rural location, in the heart of South Hams. Tentative host. Quality bed/bedding. Birdsong bidding you a welcome each morning... Sublime!
WiFi was sporadic and poor reception. Country Lane driving takes a little getting used to.

Very quiet and private. A thoughtful welcome pack. Bird feeders placed where we could enjoy watching tbe birds. Good base within the area we wanted to explore.
