Accueil très sympathique du gérant, personnel tout aussi sympa. Chambre confortable, propre et calme. Climatisation et eau chaude. Bien placé proche du zocalo.

The location was very good and the price was reasonable. Beds and pillows were very comfortable.
We stayed two nights. The first night I was woken up at 4:30 am, and on the second at 1 am. I was unable to get back to sleep. Mexican partygoers are very loud and couldn’t care less if they wake you up. We asked several times if they could keep the noise down but they ignored us.

Not far from city center.
This hotel is not 8,6 by any stretch of imagination. It's got such a high rating, because the good REVIEWS ARE FAKE as you can see if you read through them. There are so many 10 rated reviews from user Stefanny, that she would virtually have to live there. Just to name few of the worst issues - The equipment is very basic, there's even no curtain in the shower so the water is pouring all over the place. The furniture is very old and crooked. Bed weren't comfortable and the bedding was just awful. The A/C was thoroughly mouldy. There were ants.

The staff were wonderful, location was great and it was a good price.
The room smelled or chemicals, and the mattress in room 2 is truly one of the worst i have slept on in mexico. Room 3's mattress was great though.
Also if your tall closing the bathroom door is hard while on the toilet.

A very basic hotel situated five minutes from the historical centre and port. The receptionist was very friendly.
The room was a bit drab with old furniture and fittings.

Cozy posada few blocks from Zocalo. Good price.
Occasionally very loud staff at the reception (meters away from my room) which was frustrating, since the hotel was otherwise very peaceful and quiet.

They gave me probably the nicest room in the place, the air conditioner was good and though the listing said the room was "sound proof" it wasn't- especially with the big balcony overlooking the street and sliding glass door- but the noise level was perfectly acceptable most of the time. There was a traditional dance studio next door that I actually thought was pretty awesome- but luckily they don't dance everyday and stopped at 9pm when they did- otherwise I might have felt like they were clogging on my head. A very energetic group they were!
The location of the hotel is close enough to downtown and restaurants to easily walk or catch a bus or taxi, but not a major street or next to the Zocalo- thus fairly quiet at night. Far enough from the waterfront not to be touristy though, near a couple parks I saw only locals at, and a good Chinese restaurant too.
Worst part of the noise situation wasn't the street sounds, but hearing other travelers' music though the doors which weren't as sound proof as the walls, and I even had to tell the fellow next door to turn it down one day- which he was nice enough to do. Also the room they gave me- with a balcony and sliding door- had pipes coming up from the street level that would have easily been climbable and the sliding door and window at least needed fitted sticks put in them so they couldn't be forced open (though the windows could still be broken). If you're really concerned about someone breaking in, I wouldn't stay in that room with the balcony overlooking the street, but the others seemed very secure and probably less noisy.

Absolutely wonderful stay. Very friendly and professional staff and even though we had an internal room, there was a mini courtyard that made it light. The AC was amazing and it was very quiet. 10/10.

It was clean, the staff was friendly and helped with different questions. I could ask anything I needed (wash the rope, charging for the phone, ...) and they helped me out. It is directly in the center of the City and you reach anything by feet.
I highly recommend to visit Al Antigua. A beautiful village where you can visit "La Casa de Hernán Cortés". Just make sure you know how to come back or ask the friendly people there in the village.
