This type of vacation experience is unique to find. You will enjoy the full log home experience combined with all the amenities of a first class resort. This tri level, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, dog friendly log home sits atop a private knoll in a gorgeous wooded setting in Rumbling Bald Resort in Lake Lure NC.

The open inviting floor plan features a living room with soaring vaulted ceilings, wood floors, leather sofa, flat screen TV, windows galore, and a supply of good books and games. No worries, you will stay connected with wireless internet access. The dining room table seats six, and there is room for two more at the breakfast bar. The recently remodeled kitchen has granite counters, stainless steel appliances, microwave, dishwasher, tons of cabinets and counter space, and two coffee pots (one drip and one Keurig).
The main level floor plan includes living room, kitchen, dining area, master bedroom with king size bed and TV, and full bathroom. Upstairs is a second master bedroom with queen bed, high ceilings with exposed beams, TV, and bathroom with cast iron claw foot tub with shower. There are two twin beds in the open upper loft area overlooking the living room with a door to a small upper deck. The lower level bedroom has two twin beds, TV (DVD only), and a door to the outside. There is also a full laundry room on the lower level.
Enjoy nature from an abundance of outdoor living area. The full length front covered porch has rocking chairs and swing for lazy afternoons. The rear covered deck has an old fashioned swing, picnic table with chairs, and a gas grill. In addition is a lower level stone patio with table and chairs.

Lake Lure Beach is just 5 minutes away, complete with water slides and a splash pad! The main Town of Lake Lure marina offers boat rentals, daily tours, and dinner cruises. River tubing, zip-lining, gem-mining, horseback riding and rock climbing are all within a short distance of the house. The area also boasts 2 beautiful golf courses for those looking to venture out onto the green. Hike Chimney Rock State Park for a breathtaking view. Or explore the charming little town of Chimney Rock with riverfront breweries, Burntshirt Bistro and tasting room, only 15 minutes away.
For any grocery needs, Ingles Market is a large fully stocked grocery store with deli, bakery, wine, and beer, along with a Starbucks and Pharmacy. The towns of Hendersonville, Flat Rock, Black Mountain, and Asheville (The Biltmore Estate) are between 45 minutes to an hour's drive depending on traffic. Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) offering world class equestrian events throughout the year is a short 20-minute drive. the Towns of Columbus and Tryon are also a short drive away.

NC VACATION RENTAL STANDARDS
First, be aware that the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act provides you with certain rights and protections. Second, we would like to make you aware of a few local regulations designed to promote a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY LIMITS: The maximum occupancy limit for this home is 8 persons. You must provide us with the number of people and vehicles in your group. Violation of occupancy rules are grounds for immediate eviction with no refund, and fees will be charged to your credit card to cover any damages.
DESIGNATED PARKING: Vehicles must be parked only in designated areas on the vacation rental property. Parking in the roadway blocking the flow of traffic and parking on neighbor's property without permission are prohibited. There is parking for 2 vehicles at this property. No RV's trailers, campers, or oversized vehicles of any kind.
ACCESS: You will receive directions and access information once we have received a signed rental agreement securing reservation (this agreement will be sent to you for electronic signature) you will also need to provide a copy of your government issued ID to our company with current mailing address and contact information along with vehicle registration of each vehicle that will be at the home during your stay. You will be emailed check-in instructions 24 hours prior to arrival provided you have signed your electronic rental agreement and sent in a copy of your photo ID and vehicle information. If you go to a property prior to approval from our office before check in time you will be accessed an early check-in fee $50.
TRASH DISPOSAL: All household waste & trash must be placed in receptacles considered to be animal proof (e.g., durable with secured lids) when available unless advised otherwise due to increased bear activity.
MINIMUM AGE: You must be at least 25 years of age to reserve a rental property and sign this lease and must also be a guest at the property during the entire term of the stay. You must present a valid government ID at time of check in. If you are not 25, you will NOT be allowed to check in and no refund will be provided.
NO HOUSE PARTIES: We do not accept reservations from sororities, fraternities, spring-break parties, bachelor / bachelorette / wedding parties, graduation parties, or ANY similar groups unless approved at time of reservation. Mr. Lake Lure Vacation Rentals works very closely with local law enforcement to patrol our rental homes, and report to us any occupancy violations. Any violation of this rule mandates you immediately vacate home without refund, regardless of the remaining duration of your reservation.
FIRE PROTECTION FOR YOUR SAFETY: Fire Extinguisher and Evacuation Plan -This home is equipped with working fire extinguishers and a posted evacuation plan. Removing any of these from their designated location is prohibited. Avoid storing items not to block hallways, doorways, steps, entrances and exits. Small Outdoor Fires - When an area burning ban is in effect, bonfires are prohibited. Contact your rental home's property manager for information on any burning bans. Outdoor fires are only permitted in a place and manner approved by the Fire Chief.
LAKE ACTIVITIES: Swimming: Do not swim farther than 50 feet from shore unless accompanied by an observer in a boat.
FISHING: A North Carolina fishing license is required, and all state fishing regulations apply.
BOATING: If a boat is provided with this rental home, please ask for and review the pamphlet entitled “Lake Regulations & Map”. If you wish to utilize your own boat on the lake, a permit is required and can be obtained at Town Hall or at the town marina.
PERSONAL CONDUCT: Trespassing - Venturing onto a neighboring dock or pier, boat house or property without the owner's permission is prohibited.
NO SMOKING: Smoking, Vaping and Electronic cigarettes are prohibited in all our vacation rental homes. You will be assessed an additional cleaning fee if it is discovered you have been smoking and/or vaping in the home of $500. We ask that all smokers stay a minimum of 10 ft from any open window or door, do not stand near open doors or windows allowing smoke to enter the home while smoking on property. Please make sure butts and ashes are not left behind. Discard the butts and ashes in the outside garbage. Do not throw butts on the ground (including the fire pit) or bring them into the home. If there is any tobacco smell in the home after your departure, there will be a minimum $500 charge. Oil lamps and incense are not permitted due to the long-lasting odor. If these policies are violated, there will be a charge for excessive cleaning.
NOISE: Unreasonably loud noise is prohibited throughout the Town. Please observe quiet hours after 10 p.m. and be aware that sound carries very far over a still lake.
UNRULY BEHAVIOR: Behavior deemed disorderly and causing a disturbance to the public is prohibited. These regulations will be strictly enforced.
SECURITY CAMERA LOCATIONS: Please be advised our homes have forward facing entry area security cameras. We monitor for non-reported pets, over occupancy and number of vehicles.
PETS/ANIMALS: DOG FRIENDLY HOMES: This is a Dog friendly home there will be additional non-refundable pet fee listed. CATS ARE NOT ALLOWED 2-Adult Dogs are allowed with additional nonrefundable pet fee of $60-$120. Dogs must not be left unattended or must be crated if left at home. Dogs are NOT allowed on the furniture; we ask that you please always pick up after your dogs and be mindful of the neighbors and keep your dogs on a leash.
RENTAL AGREEMENT AND TOTAL BALANCE: You will be required to sign a vacation rental agreement before your reservation is secured. Failure to sign rental agreement with-in 72 hours of booking, will result in cancellation of reservation and forfeiture of deposit. Any monies received by Mr Lake Lure Vacation Rentals for occupancy of vacation property indicated the acceptance of the terms of our vacation rental agreement in full. Your total amount listed on the Mr Lake Lure® Vacation Rental Agreement may be different than the amount paid to the 3rd party site you book through. All third-party sites charge differing amounts as service fees to guests for using their services. We have no control over those fees and do not collect them.
Please read your vacation rental agreement carefully before you begin your vacation. All policies are strictly enforced. It is the responsibility of all guests and members of their party to be familiar with all policies pertaining to rental.

If you don't feel this will be adequate for your stay, you will want to stop and pick up more on your way. All properties provide fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes, including coffee makers as well as some cooking utensils. Locked pantries and closets are reserved for the use of the Property Owner and are not accessible to Guest. Rearranging furniture or removing any items from the Property is prohibited.

CHECK OUT: 10:00 a.m. local time (or earlier) NO EXCEPTIONS. Housekeeping will arrive very shortly after 10:00 a.m. to prepare the home for the next Guest. Late check-outs will be charged the applicable daily rate or $50 per hour, whichever is greater to the credit card on file if the home has not been vacated by 1:00 pm.
*** Lake Lure will be undergoing a drawdown starting January 1st, through the first quarter (March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet has been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. No personal watercraft will be allowed on the lake during this time. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. You will be emailed check-in instructions 24 hours prior to arrival provided you have signed your electronic rental agreement and sent in a copy of your photo ID and vehicle information. If you go to a property prior to approval from our office before check in time you will be accessed an early check-in fee $50.
CHECK OUT: 10:00 a.m. local time (or earlier) NO EXCEPTIONS. Housekeeping will arrive very shortly after 10:00 a.m. to prepare the home for the next Guest. Late check-outs will be charged the applicable daily rate or $50 per hour, whichever is greater to the credit card on file if the home has not been vacated by 1:00 pm.
*** Lake Lure will be undergoing a drawdown starting January 1st, through the first quarter (March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet has been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. No personal watercraft will be allowed on the lake during this time. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. For more information about the annual lake drawdown, please contact the Town of Lake Lure.

Great property- enough room for all 7 of us to spread out and enjoy. Black bear sighting is no joke - we sat out on the back porch and a black bear appeared 20ft from us. That was really exciting - amenities are amazing, kayaking at the resort does cost $$. Staff and property @Rumbling Bald are amazingly friendly and helpful. We all really enjoyed the quiet escape of the mountains ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Definitely five stars!

The cabin itself was just okay. It could use some updating especially in the bathrooms and the downstairs "bedroom". The cooking pots and pans are very old and need to be replaced. The coffee maker and toaster oven are old and need to be updated. The bedspread, pillows, and shams of the king size bedroom are dirty and need to be cleaned. The downstairs bedroom smelled of mildew. The front and back porch was nice to sit out on. The real problem is the very steep and narrow driveway along with inadequate area to turn around, therefore making it difficult to fit 3 SUV's in the driveway. We had a terrible time negotiating the driveway. The disappointing thing is there is nothing mentioned in the description of the home. If you decide to stay in this unit be aware the rental firm will charge you $50 if any of the amenities passes are lost. Even if one falls out of the lantern because it is to lose. So make sure your lantern is going to hold the pass securely. There is also no cell phone service there. We had to call for help to get our truck unstuck on the driveway and had to walk down to the resort to make a phone call. So it wasn't a great 4 days. Good luck if you decide to stay!

With company coming to town we wanted to do something different during their stay. So we decide to head to the lake! Great choice in might add. The cabin was very nice with plenty of room for relaxing and personal space. Everything you would need is there and well maintained. Location to the local actives was perfect and the fact that this home is part of the resort is even better! Didn't need to travel far to cool off in the lake and pool and just relax. Looking forward to return stay!!

First time in about 6 years the family has spent Christmas together and it was great!!! My son brought his girlfriend, who we enjoyed having, and Abbey, his Goldendoodle . Our 8 year old granddaughter enjoyed her visit also with her Mom (our daughter). All enjoyed their stay.

We had a nice time at Lake Lure and enjoyed this cabin. It was clean and spacious and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed playing some of the games that were in the house. The porch is great. It was only a four minute drive to the Rumbling Bald beach and pool, which we visited every day. No cell service but wifi was sufficient to pull up directions. The driveway is indeed very steep but the chief problem is that where the driveway meets the road is bumpy and our car scraped it every time we drove in or out. Other than that, we had a great stay.

Check in was great and early. Housekeeping did a great job. Major issue we had...was the downstairs had bugs and smelled awful. Could tell housekeeping did their best to clean it. My husband/I spent hrs using pinesol b4 our grandkids got there! They would not stay down there. Made it crowed.

The only complaints we had we emailed the property and were promptly responded. We aren't smokers there were cigarette butts in front and back. When our daughter arrived she tried to take a helper upstairs and it leaked downstairs. We emailed and got a Response. It looks like you tried to call me when I got home today but nothing came Through.

Nice Family Vacation Space
Lucky Enough was great for what we needed as a family of 6 traveling to the Asheville area. We would stay there again if we were ever back in the area. For those who want to know...our take-away pros: super comfy bed, super cool AC, beautiful porch to sit on, several TV's, environment that made us feel "at home". Our cons: grill did not work properly, light bulbs were very dim, needed a larger skillet due to the fact the grill wasn't working, super steep driveway that was scary to drive up in the rain, Copperhead snake greeted us in the driveway one night-ha! Overall, we totally enjoyed our time in Lucky Enough and would recommend it to others who would want a nice place to stay.

A beautiful, well equipped property
The property was exactly as advertised. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could need during your stay! It is nicely decorated, spacious, the beds are comfortable, there are games, books, movies, the amenities passes, just so many options provided for fun. The communication with the management company were smooth & friendly, they were very helpful people.

Family Vacation
Great location, nice cabin with access to Rumbling Bald. Communication with Mr. Lake Lure vacation rentals was outstanding prior to arrival. Frequently travel to Lake lure and accustomed to steep hills and driveways. Day after arrival, the driveway was wet from rain. Turning around to drive down the driveway my Toyota Tundra lost complete traction on the wet driveway and build-up of moss. Truck slide without the ability to stop, front wheels went off the top of the driveway with a straight drop through the woods. My wife and young daughters were in the truck. Was very very fortunate by feathering my e brake and stepping on the gas in reverse to prevent sliding off the driveway and crashing. Driveway is super slick when wet and moss build up on right side of driveway needs to be removed. Called Mr. Lake Lure after it happened but cell service is expectedly not good but was able to detail a text that did go through. We had no response from the rental company for the rest of the trip from a very near close call until I texted again Monday night about checkout procedures. Received and immediate response and no mention of the prior text about the driveway. I explained through several more texts what had happened and was told I would receive a call. Our vacation was dictated by the slickness of the driveway and deep concerns of safety coming and going. We were only looking for someone to call and offer help or a solution but that did not happen. The lack of communication and stress of the driveway caused us to check out of the cabin early by one day. It was already raining that morning when we realized our mistake from stress and just decided to leave than deal with the wet driveway another day. Mr. Lake Luke rentals called my phone after leaving the cabin. The person I spoke to was completely unaware of my prior texts and I had to explained in detail what had happened and our concerns. Was told we would get a call back the following day. Six days later I was calling them seeking some sort of answer to the lack of communication during the stay with a huge safety issue and expressing my concerns with the driveway for future renters. Was surprised by the amount of bugs and millipedes in the home. TV downstairs had no volume and you could only watch DVD’s on it. Couldn’t get the TV in the upstairs bedroom to work. Didn’t bother calling or texting Mr. Lake Lure about these minor issues when we never heard back from them about the near death experience.

The cabin was nice , great location and very quiet, could use a thorough cleaning ... not very clean around the window seals and cob webs on the ceiling beams. Disappointed there was no fire pit, outside but this could be for safety , we did have a huge Black Bear scare us the last night we were there ... so yes there are black bears in the woods.

Great Stay
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It is conveniently located and easy to find. Checkin/out is easy with a lock box key. Beds were comfortable and cabin is well stocked. Overall cabin was clean, but could use a deeper cleaning of cobwebs and dust on the fans and beams. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Nice private get away
We rented the cabin to host immediate family . It was ideal for getting away from the city. We liked the proximity to the resort amenities. The house had everything we needed for preparing meals as well of plenty of options for family members to have their own space. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch with family and enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature. The beds were really comfortable and everything was very clean. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Nice family resort amenities
The check in process was quick but it is 25-30 minutes from the resort. Luckily the people that were there before us left the basement door unlocked because we were given the wrong key code and had to call when we got in to get the right one. The basement was dirty. There were bugs, millipedes, like 50 or so all over the basement and it smelled terrible. We called and they did wave the cleaning fee. However, millipedes give off a scent of urine when they are killed so the whole basement smelled like cat urine. That is where 2 of the twin beds are located. As for the rest of the house it was clean. Kitchen has plenty of appliances and dishes. The beds were very nice and comfortable. One thing we didnt expect was how steep the driveway is, When it rained we had to put the truck in 4 wheel drive. Its VERY steep. We did call because we were told not to leave the garbage out and the management company came right out and got our trash and the were very quick to fix the washing machine as well.

Nice cabin in the woods
Was just as advertised in the online listing - clean and well appointed. We had a great time at the resort beach and hiking the numerous trails in the area. The only drawback is the location of check-in vs. the actual cabin. It was a solid 25-30 min drive...which was not optimal. If the checkin process could go online of if they can set up checkin at the nearby resort, I would give it a 5.

Lucky enough
We liked the cabin but there wasn’t a view of the lake or mountains. The cabin had good amenities and arrangements. There were bugs on the floor in the living room where the maids had not vacuumed.
The most disappointing part was the listing said we would have access to bald mountain resort but didn’t. Due to covid 19 a lot of things were definitely out of the ordinary.
When we checked out I was told at check in that I had to drive the keys back to their office. This was inconvenient to say the least. This was also after the cabin was not ready at check in time.
