The house was very cute, it was calming and peaceful and the view on the porch was just magnificent. I would definitely come back again!

Overall the house is nice. The bathrooms and kitchen were very clean. However, the basement, where 3 of the bedrooms are located, is very damp and musty. We pulled out the sofa bed and there were mice droppings all over the mattress. Although there was a large humidifier going on at all times (loud!) it's not enough. Those who slept in the basement did not enjoy the stay. That is why I couldn't give it more stars.

Place was uninhabitable for my daughter due to the mold/mildew smell in the lower level. That spoiled the purpose of our first family vacation in years as she and her husband had to make other arrangements. The master king bed was terribly soft and basically worn - my husband has disability - needed first floor and a reasonable mattress and he had to climb stairs for a bed that didn't hurt his back. We arrived to a garbage can on front lawn overflowing and wasn't picked up until 5 days into our stay... an animal got into it and left a mess on lawn right before pick up day. Couches had very worn uncomfortable sunken cushions. Upstairs toilet was barely manageable in terms of room to sit down and use it with door closed. House was in need of big time face lift. That being said, I am sure the house has been fine for some families who don't want anything nicer if they have little kids, but I thought that for the amount of money to rent this place, it would have been significantly nicer and certainly not have mold/mildew smell. Really do not recommend.

I arrived the day of checkin in the evening hours (10PM) after the 4PM check in. Upon walking in the house I could immediately tell the house had not been cleaned. There was food on the counter, crumbs on the floor, left over items in the refrigerator and all the beds had not been made. Upstairs in the loft there was a pile of towels and sheets on the floor next to the sink. The bedroom in the loft had a hundred dead bugs the length of the window on the floor and on the bed. Incredibly disgusting. The bed had not been made and pillows were thrown on the ground. The trash cans in the bathrooms had not been emptied. Toothpaste and hair on the bathroom sinks. I messaged the home owner and they told me someone would be there in the morning. By 12PM no one had arrived. I contacted Vacasa and the owner and they were not able to get anyone there to clean. This is completely unacceptable that 24 hours after checking into the house it was still not cleaned. I rented this house for guests who were coming in from out of town for an event. I spent more time cleaning up the house, putting on new sheets, vacuuming with a vacuum I had to borrow from a neighbor, using cleaning products from the neighbor to washing the floor, countertops and bathrooms. I have never had an experience like this. On the call with the rep I asked to be compensated for the cleaning and the home since these were not livable conditions. They said they would let the owner know. There has

The dishwasher was broken on arrival. There was standing water inside and what looked like a part to it on the counter. The dishes were very old. The cable boxes are out dated and so is the modem. There was a wet basement smell in the bottom two bedrooms.

Awesome space for weekend getaway exploring Mashpee and Falmouth. Lots of space, comfy furniture and beds, stocked kitchen.

This property is in the middle of an upscale neighborhood. Three levels for sleeping, the best back porch I’ve ever seen on a rental and a beautiful view. The house was casual and very comfortable. It allowed us easy access to all of Cape Cod. If you want a cozzy comfortable house that easily handles three couples this is your place in Cape Cod.

This house had so much potential. We were told checkin was 4pm however when we arrived housekeeping was there and we were told 5pm. Luckily we were able to come in anyway to drop our things.
The home itself is very large with plenty of room for large groups. Plenty of room for more than 8! However, upstairs the bedroom doesn't have a door.
Downstairs smells HORRIBLE. They clearly have a lot of dampness down there and with no dehumidifier they now have a mold and mildew problem. You can clearly see the mold in the basement bathroom! This was stated to be 'fixed' from the last review but it was not.
Overall I would say this home needs some serious updating and care. It has clearly been neglected for quite a while. This is good for maybe a group who doesn't care too much about their lodging. I found it very disappointing

The place is great but the minute we pulled into the driveway the neighbors started discriminating against us and said we have to keep it down and don’t be loud. They called the police on ya during the day we continued being nice and neighborly but I believe because of who we are it was a problem got them.

There was no air conditioning in the main living areas which made cooking eating and enjoying the space impossible. The master bath had no hot water in the shower making it unusable. Property managers did not remedy problems, house was not as advertised and there has been no offer from owners on refunding a portion of the money paid.

I guess we should have just believed the previous reviews. There are fundamental issues with this house:
Pros:
Big house/sleeps a lot
Good location
Clean bathrooms
Cons
1) leaky air conditioning on top floor - literally wet carpet all over top floor (it was really disgusting). We had to wear shoes on that floor and slipped and fell several times with that floor area drenched with water
2) Room temperatures were off - main room hot and humid, top floors hot, master bedroom was an icicle
3) Mold in house - there was a weird smell particularly in the basement which led us to believe there were some 'mold' issues in the house.
4) Hot water not working - we had to take cold showers most of the time. I think my daughter waited 15 minutes to run the water to get some 'lukewarm' water in the shower but only in the downstairs bathroom but there were issues
5) dated decor - it's a house that needs work and frankly if we stayed longer than 3 days - i think we would have gotten sick from the mold
If you are not staying in the house a lot - i guess this place is fine but please be aware the previous June reviews were pretty accurate.

Great property BUT...
-the listing did not state that it was in a condo community, which I wish we had known.
-There was no hot water in the main floor shower.
-there is a Public and private side to the beach.
-there was no propane, so I had my husband bring propane from our house, only to find out that the grill did not need propane, it was hooked up to the house.
We had a great time, but I wish there had been more information about the house or a binder in the house with info & suggestions.

So the house was actually very large and spacious, and can more than comfortably fit ten people. Plenty of seats in the living room / dining area, and a common area on the second floor balcony and in the basement as well. I think each floor's couch was a pull-out bed as well, so plenty of places to sleep along with the five bedrooms. Lots of deck doors and windows in the first floor letting in a lot of natural light.
However, there were many issues with the house that detracted from the stay. From the first picture you can see the driveway and path leading up to the house, with a path leading down to a small backyard to the left of the walkway. In reality, much of the shrubs and plants were overgrown, clearly having not been maintained in quite a while. A lot of overgrown grass on either side of the house.
Ironically, as we were checking into the property, a friend of mine saw Dimitri H's review of the property and over the course of our four night stay, pretty much everything he said was still present even though his stay was from the previous month.
The Vacasa app and check-in/out instructions give no instructions whatsoever on how to dispose of trash, and so, like the previous review, we checked in and saw a huge pile of trash on the front deck. Someone did come an hour after we checked in to pick up the trash, but there was no trash pickup (or places to put our trash) at all during our stay, meaning that our trash just sat on the front deck for all (and animals) to see.
Immediately we noticed signs of under-maintenance inside the property as well. The basement had a very musty and moldy smell. Fortunately, all of the bedrooms in the basement had their own AC unit which mitigated this. One of the closets was full of spider webs. The bedrooms in the basements also didn't have working light fixtures - they were all lamps. The pictures on the listing make the rooms look a lot brighter inside than they actually were.
We found that the first floor and second floor bathrooms did not have any functioning lights, which was also reflected in first review of the property. I found a tripped breaker in the basement, and on a subsequent night I discovered that it was a light switch in the hallway (possibly for a deck light) that was the culprit causing the breaker to trip. Dimitri discovered the same as well it would seem.
The AC leak from the previous reviews was also present. There was a huge puddle on the carpet on the second floor in front of

Good Place
Overall the property was nice and a great place to stay. Unfortunately I think the people who stayed before us did some damage. One of the tables was broken outside and there were a ton of trash bags just on the back porch which animals subsequently got into at night.

Made the best of our stay...
Unfortunately, we had many issues with this property. From the moment we arrived, we encountered piles of garbage bags on the front deck. They were picked up the next afternoon. That was just the beginning. No lights in the master bedroom and bathroom. A tripped breaker and bad front porch light that we were unable to use after we located the problem.
No hot water in the master bathroom shower, making it unusable.
Air conditioning that needed service kept freezing up and leaking water from the second floor into the kitchen below. We used a large cooler and many towels to catch the waterfall in the kitchen. The carpet upstairs surrounding the unit was also soaked for the duration of the trip. While the bedrooms had individual AC units, the main living area was warm and uncomfortable. There was a HVAC repair truck waiting to enter the property as we checked out and left.
There was black mold on the wood beams in the upstairs bedroom.
Many broken chairs on the back deck.
The property manager didn't return any calls during or after our stay. I did manage to contact Vacasa directly and they offered a measly credit for my troubles.
The area is very nice and quiet, and being familiar with the area, we knew where to go to entertain ourselves.
Staying for only four nights, we made the best of the situation and enjoyed our trip regardless of the condition of the house. Even if there was any communication with the manager, the last thing we wanted was people in the home during our short stay. The problems with the house were glaring and should have been recognized and corrected before our arrival.
When we rented the property there were no reviews on VRBO and it's unfortunate that I have to be the one to write this. While I've never had any issues with VRBO, I might avoid Vacasa in the future.
