We all absolutely loved our stay at The Anchorage. Lovely cosy property at a great spot overlooking the loch. David was the perfect host, and has clearly put a lot of thought and effort into getting everything right. Loads of nice touches throughout. We made use of the kayaks, and had a great time rowing on the loch. Will definitely stay again.
Nothing.

Stunning home , amazing helpful host , welcome pack including bubbles , absolutely immaculate , everything you could ask for in a holiday home but the icing on the cake was the extra facilities our host provided. A BBQ hut had been built just in time for our family get together which we used both nights ...absolutely fantastic , really made our trip wonderful ...there are other extras which we didn’t use but what a treat they will all be for visitors in the summer ..I can go on about other extras but you will find out for yourself by booking this place .
Nothing ...all perfect !!!

Clear instructions provided by the host on where to locate the keys in the lock-box, where the outside light was located etc. Two sets provided, so easy to manage one set whilst leaving spare set in the box in case of emergency etc.
Cottage spotlessly clean throughout.
Abundance of facilities both inside and outside the cottage.
Parking excellent.
Brilliant location and views.
Amazing host!
Everything fine, no issues at all.
Will be returning!!!

We loved the welcome pack. The cottage was lovely and cosy and had super views in between the downpours! We paddled on the loch and were joined by porpoises! We cooked on the pizza oven despite the rain.
Nothing!

The property has everything you can possibly need. Immaculate and comfortable so cosy.
Views were spectacular.
The road round back of cottage to park needs bit of attention, only small negative.

The host was very helpful and responsive and left lovely welcome treats, which always makes a difference. The cottage is incredibly well equipped and everything is really well maintained and beautifully furnished. There is a fire in the front room, though also central heating if needed.
The location is stunning with many walks and interesting towns to visit nearby. Right next door is the wonderful Village Inn, which has a great vibe. A walk down the road there is a bistro and a good convenience store.
This is a great family cottage as there is a fabulous firepit and BBQ set up outside and kayaks (was a bit cold to try them out this time around!!).
If the weather is bad I can imagine this would feel very cozy and crowded if there are 6 adults. This is not really a minus, just something to be aware off. However, the host does provide lots of games to entrtain and binoculars so you can bird watch or try and spot seals on the loch.

David was very quick to respond to any queries and the whole process from start to fo finish made for a wonderful holiday, I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking to stay near Arrochar.

The Anchorage is quite possibly the best family holiday house I've been too. It's immaculate, modern and has absolutely everything you could ask for including an absolutely stunning view of Loch Long.
The kids absolutely loved the garden and the lengths David has gone too with the place is superb.
The amount of toys, games and play stuff for the kids is staggering and the house is clean, modern, spacious and extremely well stocked.
I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
Nothing. The place is immaculate.

Located right on the shore of Loch Long, and fully equipped with kayaks, canoes, paddles, water shoes, buoyancy aids etc… this property allowed us to make the most of the beautiful Scottish water. We went wild swimming & boating most days. The house is so impressive, with amazing outdoor space that can be used all year round thanks to an ingenious lean to with absurdly comfortable seating. We had BBQ’s, cooked Pizza in the outdoor oven and made the most of the facilities on offer. It was a shame we didn’t have kids with us, because they were well accommodated for, with lots of toys, games, camping equipment, kites, cool boxes etc… David is an excellent host, this house is worth every penny. It was 5* luxury with so many wonderful little details we wouldn’t have expected. The Prosecco & shortbread on arrival was a lovely wee touch too. We can’t wait to get back there, we will certainly be regulars from now on. The pub next door is perfect too, with great food and lots of outdoor tables overlooking the Loch. I can’t recommend this enough. Would give 100 stars if I could. Thanks so much to David for providing such a homely and well equipped house and for giving us memories that will last a lifetime.

The owner provides a top class property, with absolutely everything provided to make your stay exceptional. Communication is responded to immediately, politely & giving as much information as he can.
Would definitely recommend staying here
