I had the most amazing time at Rancho Espinoza. The owner Willy is really friendly and took time to show me around the village and brought me hiking. He also organizes a kayaking tour in the mangrove which is highly recommended. The house is very confortable and has everything you need to cook and feel like at home. It is also beautifully decorated. Also there are a lot of beautiful birds coming to drink water on the terrasse. I saw a humming bird several times.
If you don’t have a car it can be a bit tricky because it is not right in the center, you need to do a bit of distance to go to the restaurant for exemple and the rancho doesn’t have one. However there is a kitchen available. Also Willy kindly landed me his bike to go around.

Everything was perfect and detailed orientated. The bed was so comfortable and all the little amenities and the little that came with it. The host and team are the true meaning of hospitality
This doesn’t even apply , everything was outstanding.

It was a beautiful home. William was kind enough to take me and another guest kayaking in the estuary. that made the trip that much more memorable.

William was awesome, Place was ready and as advertised. Easy to find thanks in part to the sign right on the highway-this was our second time at the property and we will stop there again without a doubt!

Beautifully restored ranch - very authentic but clean and comfortable with modern bathrooms, wifi etc.
William is a brilliant host and goes above and beyond. Highly recommend to ask in advance if you can do the kayak tour with him - it is an amazing experience in a quiet mangrove estuary, almost untouched by humans and full of wild birds and fish.

What a sweet place! It's an old restored ranch with modern conveniences. William (the host) is wonderful. We enjoyed hiking to a nearby spring and seeing birds, as well as birds on the grounds and at the feeders. It's right on Hwy 1, very easy to find.

The ranch was exquisitely decorated and our room was beautiful. The bed was so comfortable, the most comfortable during our stay in Mexico so far. Having a private bathroom was a definite bonus. William was a great host and very helpful. Tea, coffee, cereal, and fruit was readily available. Parking onsite for free, close location to downtown San Ignacio (provided you have a vehicle).
The shower was a lacking in that it only got luke warm and the pressure was pretty poor. Might just be par for the course in the desert (this was our first visit to a desert!)

Everything at Rancho Espinoza has been designed with such love and care. It is a true old style Mexican ranch home, which has been lovingly restored to its original splendor with all the conveniences. I loved my room, which was elegant, spacious and clean and had its own bathroom. The common areas were lovely places to rest and restore after a long drive. I would return in a heartbeat!

Beautiful old hacienda. Convenient to town, excellent management, good parking in back for convenience, wonderful gathering and kitchen areas.
Need signage on road and a little bit of a fall off on the pavement to enter - way of Mexico though. The two trees in the parking area I almost hit each time! I love trees but they really save no purpose.

Owner William very helpful and personable. Facility had great ambiance and interesting history. Lots of character. Breakfast room came equipped with good essentials. Convenient location on Mex 1 but quite quiet. Very nice outdoor spaces for hanging out.
Mini split heating/cooling unit was noisy. Bathroom could use more storage capacity ie. hooks, table, chair.

Nothing...we had to go elsewhere.
How can we like anything? We couldn't even find the place...
Went to the address...there was no indication whatsoever of a property.
Google map sent us there...Booking.com sent us there but there was nothing but a dirt backstreet.
We had to pay for another room at the Desert Inn.
This is the first time something like this happens to us. This could have been very stressful if there wouldn't have been another place for us to go spend the night.

Location great right on Highway 1 so easy to get to. Could have used a little bit better markings, esp. at night.
Beautiful old family hacienda fixed up lovingly by owners.
Some dog barking in night - often a Baja problem!
Wonderful bedroom I had but did have to go outside to us bathroom across patio. Kinda cold this time of year. But the place was worth it!

Unbelievable size room and bathroom! Clean and very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. Friendly people, both owner and wife. Great directions on finding it. Provided extra amenities like shared refrigerator space, coffee, and cereal. I loved this place and will probably stay again on my trip back home.
Water pressure wasn’t great. The key to open and lock the door was challenging.

We had a huge room with a King size, antique bed and slept soundly. Nothing fancy at all, but very quiet, very comfortable and clean, friendly hosts.
Hard to find the place the first time, but it is just off the highway so very convenient to San Ignacio. Check in instructions need to include some landmarks, and a "Rancho Espinoza" sign on the front of the house would be very helpful.

A little far from the center of town a short drive but not walking distance

The owners are really great people and deserve every success with their business. They have made a fantastic job of making a place to stay feel like a home you would want to live in. Can't wait to return and would recommend them to family and friends without caution.
