well equipped and warm.
cosy and nice to offer a wood burning stove. Great location.
The property is great, but extractor fans in the bathroom and kitchen would help as condensation could then be reduced.
4.3
The location in the centre of the village and a well equipped cottage which is dog friendly
The door lock is a bit difficult to to unlock (this is mentioned in the description for the cottage) not much fun if its throwing it down with rain.
4.3
Brilliant location, good sized rooms generally a lovely cottage. Log burner made it very cosy downstairs
Heating was set too low (our fault for not contacting owners to increase it).
4.3
Location
Smell very damp

Nothing
The "Hosts" phoned us on the morning of our arrival, while we were actually on our journey, to say the property was unavailable and they were cancelling our booking. WE HAVE STILL NOT RECIEVED A REFUND

Location was superb. Bathroom and bedrooms were very nice.
Kitchen was very cold and could have been cleaner. The fridge is not very good, being meant as an integrated fridge, not a standalone. And it could have been cleaner. It’s a pity there was no kind of welcome pack. Perhaps it’s getting tired.
4.3
Location spot on for my Dad. Close to other locations that we visited
Details of where the switch for the bathroom radiator was!
4.3
This is a lovely cottage, well equipped and comfortable with plenty of room and the bonus of some outdoor space.
4.3
Walked in and just felt relaxed straight away everything you needed was there and more

The property as a whole was cute. It had mostly everything we needed in there. Wi-Fi was a lifesaver as no signal.
Firstly, we didn’t expect to not be able to park close to the properly. Having 2 cars between 3 adults and 3 young children, and them not being close by was difficult. We literally only slept and had breakfast there due to staying there as was at a wedding in Danby.
Secondly, there was dog hairs all over all the rugs.
Thirdly, I have left with 3 bites at the bottom of my back and one on my ankle.
Fourthly, the power from the plugs were poor, not charging devices to full power over night.
Fiftly, one of the fire alarms/CM alarms kept beeping with low battery, so found which and took out battery.

Great location, lovely decor. Well equipped house.
The bathroom looks new and is very clean. However the shower is impossible to get to an acceptable temperature. It was either too hot or too cold. Perhaps get someone to look at it as it looks new.
4.3
The feel of the cottage was warm and welcoming and the location was absolutely perfect
The cooker hob was not great, very slow to cook anything much but as it was only the two of us it did not impact too much, whereas if a family were staying and needed to cook meals to save on spending it wouldn't have been easy.
4.3
Location near to all the shops restaurants etc
Meals / Restaurants. The Royal George, as we were travelling over 200 miles, I tried to book table for 5 for two nights. No they said we only take walk in's. So walked in all empty tables had reserved Table markers on? Went to Cod and Lobster. Went back to Royal George, we were a group of 5 having our last night so we had a few shorts. First round £18, second round £28, difference was a Run and coke rather than a coke. Third Round £30 same round? Questioned bar staff and they said sorry we forgot to charge for the mixers last time! Asked to see the previous tab,"sorry can't do this on our till.

Staithes is a lovely little hideaway. Anchorlea was well equipped and comfortable .Host really accommodating and communication great, tips on parking really helpful
Property was old, and even in June, felt a little cold/damp . Electric heaters helped.
4.3
Great little cottage, booked for next year
4.3
The location is excellent. The property is equipped really well with ample space for 7 people.
4.3
Lovely cottage, brilliant location, ideal for visiting other local places.
No issues
4.3
Lovely little house - very nicely decorated and furnished with modern stylish bathroom and well appointed kitchen. Log burner was a bonus on a chilly evening! Ideally located for access to Staithes harbour and shops.
Heating very unpredictable - controlled by the owner on an app - guests can only choose whether the electric radiators in the property are on or off, and 'on' was sometimes red hot or sometimes cold with no apparent logic! Some road noise during the night from vehicles going over the cobbled street outside.
4.3
Great location 10 mins walk from the harbour. Superbly equipped kitchen. Plenty of storage space. Nice enclosed court yard at the back. Plenty of seating and nice dining area. Next-door to a lovely Delhi and yards away to the nearest pub. Staithes is a lovely place to explore.
Hardly anything to be unhappy about. The shower is effected by low water pressure but still Ok. Not a problem for us but the parking 10 mins walk up a very steep hill could be better explained in the listing (though it's possible to park for a short time to unload right outside)
4.3
Very clean, comfortable cottage, brilliant location
The shower was absolutely dire. Either scalding hot or freezing cold, impossible to stand under Either. For the amount we paid for the cottage, you would at least expect to be able to have a shower
4.3
The cottage was really cosy. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfy. The bathroom is lovely. We could not fault it. Location brilliant. We had a brilliant family weekend there.

Another fab stay at anchorea. Close to all amenities lovely warm and comfortable. Everything needed for a break away. We took extra fuel for the fire but on arrival we're delighted to see we had everything required to get it going for the 1st night. It was so warm we turned the radiators off. Lovely and cosy. And fabulous value for money
4.3
loved the cottage was a fab location
could have been warmer the radiators only went up to a certain temperature
4.3
Area beautiful great pubs with great food in the cod and lobster house good but more needs to be said about the parking
Heating not great not enough wood and not all the heaters worked no heating in bedrooms and living room but warm in kitchen and bathroom hob didn't work properly carpark at top of a very steep hill which isn't explained properly on the website not great for anyone with mobility issues furniture tired in living room wall leading upstairs marked either needs cleaned or repainted
4.3
Everything! Can’t fault anything at all 😊
Nothing, everything was spot on!
4.3
location couldn’t of been any better!
nothing really!

Lovely property in a great location, be prepared to walk up the hill to your vehicle and don't whinge about it. Its part of the charm of the village, If you want to park your car outside the door go to another town this is not the place for you,
4.3
It was clean and tidy. The bathroom is done to a high standard and is a good size. Having the outdoor space was great.
Overall the holiday cottage has been the best we have stayed in in Staithes.
4.3
Excellent location. Beautiful cottage with cosy lounge area. Great terrace with table and chairs for a warm day.
4.3
Lovely Cottage. Great Location in the heart of Staithes. Easy to get down to the harbour or to the car parks and Cleveland Way/ walks.
The outside space could have been better looked after and arranged.
4.3
Quite spacious, nice bathroom, good location, good to have parking but quite a walk away. Main bedroom nice.
Lounge gloomy and chilly. Lighting poor, outside area not in the sun. Second bedroom awkward sockets, no bedside light, beds soft. Water dangerously hot. We were both a bit under the weather so may have influenced our slightly negative review. We left a day early
4.3
Location of the property and being in the middle of the village
The weather lol 😆 and being unable to park outside the property but once we walked around the village we understood that its very small
4.3
The location is great, right in the middle of the town. The rooms all good, maybe kitchen could do with some improvements like the oven which is a bit worse for wear. The kids were happy with their bedrooms on the top floor and the double room was great. The log burner was lovely - could have done with some heating being on as it was a bit chilly and I don’t think we weren’t meant to touch any thermostats. A lovely stay, thank you!
4.3
Location, size.
Only the patio next to ours had litter on, burnt out bq and had broken furniture. Bit of an eye sore when your relaxing outside with a cup of tea.
4.3
Great stay enjoyed by all.
Outside area was a bit rundown but it is early in the season i guess but overall great.
4.3
The location of the property is fantastic, right on the high street so seconds away from the beach and local amenities!
