Located in the center of Haarlem and not far from the train station, this spacious apartment is a great place to start exploring the city. A little fun detail is the historic gate that gives access to the apartment. The facilities were sufficient. The kitchen is large and well equipped for any chef. Having a terrace is always a nice bonus. The bed felt a bit soft but we slept perfectly in it. Even though we were just with the two of us, the apartment had enough foldable beds to provide to larger groups.
The Kitchen could have a kitchen towel or tissues of some sorts. I would advice to make the controls for the central heating easier accessible and provide a clear instruction on the door for example. Cleanliness could have been a little bit better and some of the tableware is starting to show cracks, so might be good to replace those. With that said, it was still a great apartment and our points of critique would not prevent us to visit it again.

Location was fantastic - right in the heart of the city. A short walk from the train station and lots of attractions, restaurants, shops and bars. Very peaceful as the apartment is at the back of the building, so very quiet at night with no passing traffic. We travelled as a family of 4 - our kids were 8 and 11 and loved the apartment! The main room was very spacious so we had plenty of room to sleep and chill out during the day without feeling like we were on top of each other. The small courtyard is great as well and it was warm enough for us to have the doors open. Great bathroom/shower and great facilities in the kitchen. Haarlem is an amazing place to explore with very good access to wonderful towns, cities and beaches via bus, bike or train! The owner was very good at communicating and we felt like we could easily contact Sabine if we needed any help or had any questions.
A key to the back gate would have been good as next time we might bring bikes with us, and the courtyard would be a great place to store them.

Warm, cozy, beautiful natural light. The shower was amazing. Any prior problems reported by other traverlers have been fix, we found nothing wrong. Super private even at ground level. Very accesible. Location was excelent for us, easy transfer to Amsterdam, but Haarlem is lovely, great for families.
Not a thing. Photos do not make justice to this apartment, it is much bigger than it looks.

Excellent location, comfortable and spacious apartment
There was an unpleasant smell from the drain in the bathroom on occasions and from the damp walls in the hallway leading to a he apartment

New Kitchen area, nice bathroom and an amazing light fitting in the bedroom. Plenty of space. Toilet is separate to the Bathroom. Very clean. Dining table, and Rack for bags and coats. Large bed (moderately comfortable). Very quiet because access is via a locked hallway.
The little deck was untidy with weeds. The back door did not lock securely. Which caused a lower rating on facilities and comfort. If both of these are resolved it would be rated 9/10

Location
Too small for 4 adults. Construction on a building nearby starting at 7AM.

location
no tea pot, you must be aware it is a pedestian only area which is nice, but you have to walk from the parking house

Overall good points: location, exterior private patio, large space, shower, nice soap and shampoo
It truly is right that “the little things count!” And unfortunately, this apt missed the mark. Poor things that need to be noted: 1. It took 2 days for management to provide us with valid WiFi information. We had to call and message them repeatedly. No instructions were initially given. The person who checked us in after we had waited for 29 minutes outside in the wind knew nothing about the apt., nothing about parking, nothing about most everything 2. Next, we were only provided with 1 large towel, 1 medium towel, and 2 small hand towels, for 2 adults for a 4 night stay. We requested a few more towels but were told that they had problems with their “supplier.” We were promised more towels on the third night, but they were never provided. It continued on the 4th day when we were messaged early morning that workers were coming to repair the stove. (Oh, forgot that the stovetop didn’t work but were able to use a makeshift portable unit with an electrical cord that wrapped around and over the kitchen sink. Not safe.) We asked them to please postpone workers coming into the apt since we were departing the next day. We had been out very late the night before and needed to sleep in. We were told that they would postpone but workers showed up at 1000, knocking on the door and insisted that they would come in to repair the stove for the new incoming guests. Never mind that we were the current guests. No WiFi, no towels, no service, no trash removed. We could go on and on to describe dirty bedding and other details with dead mosquitoes on the walls. Suffice it to say that we cannot recommend this place. Hope the next guests have a better experience because we felt terribly neglected. The location of this apt is very good but greatly lacks many many hospitality elements. Will never book here again.
