Great property at a great location. Everything has been thought of to enable a fantastic stay. Ideal for a family getaway

Spent 5 days at Lakeside House building happy family memories and had an excellent time there. Property is newly renovated, all the mod cons available, with comfortable beds and a lovely living/dining area that allowed the family to gather and spend quality time together.
Highlights were the central location within the Cotswolds: 15-20 mins from Bourton-on-the-Water, Cirencester etc, as well as the huge gardens adjoining the inn next door which gave the kids lots of room to run around and play.
Owners were warm and welcoming, would gladly visit again.

My bridal party and I stayed here the night before my wedding. It was a fantastic house and was perfect for what we needed. It was spacious, had lots of character and was bright and clean. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and the living room was big and comfortable. We loved it. Thank you!

Lakeside is a beautiful cottage with large bedrooms and living area and a lovely wood burning fire. We stayed over Christmas and the house was festooned in lights making it a really magical experience. The owners lived close by and could not have been more helpful. We would highly recommend the property.

We had a fantastic time away at Lakeside. The owners were most welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. We are looking forward to staying again next year.

Fabulous family space where we could have both areas to be more tucked away and get together around the long kitchen table and very comfortable sitting room. Well appointed and we had everything we needed for our stay.
Good for the adults to be next door to the Inn at Fossebridge.
The owners live very near and we found them friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely stay, the cottage was beautiful and will equipped with everything we needed. Very clean and spacious.

Great place for a family weekend. Lots of good walks nearby if a little hilly for the oldies. Eat in or take-away from The Stump makes mass catering easy. As a family of 2 grandparents 3 children and their children we had the perfect mixture of space and proximity to enjoy each others company.

Nice property in good location in terms of access to Cotswolds attractions but traffic noise an issue. Building works going on whilst we were there should not have happened.

This was a lovely house which is laid out very well. Some of the decor was slightly faded, but I believe they are new owners with plans to sort this out in the near future. The house was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The owners are lovely and happy to help. We had a lovely holiday and would not hesitate to book again.

We had an awesome stay at Lakeside Cottage - it's beautifully decorated and roomy enough for a large family (+ 1 dog). It has all the amenities you could want for a weekend away. The location is great - pretty much mid way between Cirencester and Stow-on-the-wold, with lots to see nearby (Roman Villa @ Chedworth, Northleach). The hosts are lovely - it was extremely warm weather during our stay and Jacky very kindly supplied a number of fans to make our stay more comfortable. The house needs a little bit of updating / paint here and there but is otherwise the perfect Cotswolds getaway. We loved every minute of our stay!

Thank you for letting us stay in your spacious, well equipped house in the Fossebridge grounds. It was exactly what we needed for our guests & provided a beautiful location for my bridal preparations on the morning of our wedding. The beds and rooms were all clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful place
Only reservation is that location not clearly defined.
You need to drive into the Inn at Fossebridge and take a left driveway to reach house. Both satnav and directions sent us down a road on left pass the inn

Weekend break
Lovely house, well suited for larger families or groups of friends. Pub next door convenient and very friendly.
Stayed in March - house was chilly - radiators did not really get above slightly warm. Used log burner but still was chilly.

Lovely location for long walks and pub trips
Great location, easy access for guests coming from Bristol, London, and Oxfordshire. The house is fairly near a big road but you can’t hear traffic from inside at all, which was a relief as a light sleeper! Good facilities for a birthday weekend for 10 adults - decent cooking equipment (knives really need a sharpen and no wooden spoons, though, so perhaps bring your own if you’re planning on lots of cooking!) and close by to a great pub. Comfy beds, lovely log burner, and nicely decorated. Would love to come back.

House was warm and welcoming, accommodating our 2 families well with plenty of room. The gardens were neat and tidy and the proximity to the pub next door was brilliant for us! Some little touches might have made my review a 5 out of 5, such as a welcome hamper, there was no kindling for the fire as written in the guide book and the Indian restaurant also listed there was actually 15 miles away and don't deliver so maybe this needs updating. The restaurant wouldn't have been an issue but we had specifically planned to use it and didn't have a back up plan so we ended up not managing to find an alternative at such late notice! All very small things though in the grand scheme and it was a lovely location, with good facilities. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful cottage in lovely location
We have just returned from a weekend staying here with friends to celebrate a milestone birthday. The cottage is ideally located for walks in the surrounding countryside. It is well furnished and well equipped and was the perfect backdrop to a wonderful weekend.

Lovely cottage poor service
The property is very nice however we arrived to find that hadn't been cleaned with wet towels and dirty sheets all over the bedroom floors.
The staff weren't that helpful either when trying to arrange fresh sheets.

Beautiful house
On arrival we had to wait to go in as the previous clients had been less than respectful.the cleaning team had an awful job.however once in we settled and literally everything we needed. The house is warm comfortable and very well equipped. Comfortable beds meant a great night's sleep! All in all a superb property and we all enjoyed our stay very much

Weekend away in relaxed property and surroundings
We all enjoyed our stay at lakeside house . The property was ideally located for pub , walks and a trip to Cheltenham ! The garden provided good space for us to eat and also relax in the sun as well as use our pop up badminton set . The house even jn 30 degree heat outside remained cool . The kitchen was spacious with good facilities . We would love to go back

Quirky accomodation within easy reach of a good pub
Requiring a place for 3 adult couples and a dog is never easy - and especially so in these times!
We were generally pleased with our choice of Lakeside House: basically a cottage at the end of a stable block containing the kitchen/diner and vast living room (with en-suite double bedroom on a lower level), with an extension providing two further bedrooms, the double on the first floor adjacent to a 4-bed dormitory.
The kitchen was well-equipped with plenty of crockery and cutlery, and the living room had generous seating space.
Disappointed to see that the living room floor appeared not to have been cleaned, and surprised to see animal skin rug in front of the hearth - a real throwback to the last century!
We made full use of the adjacent pub and enjoyed the good weather by using the garden to the full. There are good walks and cycling routes in the neighbourhood.
We learnt that the property is on the market and this may explain why it looked a bit 'tired' in places, but we had a most enjoyable weekend discovering this area of the Cotswolds.

Great catch up with friends!
A group of us booked the Lakehouse back in February to catch up having not seen each other for several months due to COVID. The house was fab - beds super comfy, great sitting area and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed! The biggest win was the garden though! The BBQ was great and the tables and chairs looked over the amazing beer garden and lake next door. The pub was fab and accessed by a gate that led directly from the house driveway into the beer garden which was perfect for lunch and a few drinks before check in. Service was great too so highly recommend.

Great stay
On arrival we were pleasantly surprised how spacious this house was.
Perfect for our 2 families and our dog.
The garden was enclosed so it took the worry out of letting the dog out.
We would certainly come again as lots more of the area is still to be discovered by us.
Also as a bonus the beer in the pub next door was very good !
