The Farmhouse is a well-proportioned period property that has evolved from the late 17th century through to the early 20th century near Broadway. The property has been lovingly renovated to make the most of the spectacular views across the half-acre of garden and rolling countryside beyond. The flexible layout makes this an ideal home to come together with extended family and friends, accommodating 10+1 in five generous double bedrooms and the +1 in the single mezzanine level. There is a superb kitchen and breakfast room, also ideal for lounging and enjoy the view with a glass of wine! The large sitting room has a gorgeous feature fireplace with wood burning stove, perfect for winter evenings, and in the summer throw open the bi-fold doors that lead straight out onto the terrace with plenty of comfortable outdoor seating.

The house was incredibly dusty and it was very quickly evident that it hadn’t been properly kept and cleaned. On the surface, it looked ok but the carpets, sofa’s, rugs and all furniture were either dirty/marked or very dusty. The duvets had marks on them and made us question whether they had been changed or not. It was really disappointing that the house was not kept in a clean condition given how much we paid. It was clean on surface level but not to a sufficient level. The owner left a basket of goodies which we were very excited about but one of our friends randomly checked the date and the goods were over a year out of date. That was just the cherry on top!
Showers/bathrooms were clean enough but could do with a proper scrub. Although the location and size of the house was great, we won’t be staying here again. It is not kept as clean as it shows on the pictures. It really needs some TLC!

The house was a location for a family celebration for my husbands 40th. The house was well equipped and warm and cosy. It was large enough to enjoy the house with spaces to spend together.

The view from the kitchen and garden was amazing and so peaceful,beds so comfortable .
Neil was very helpful and left some great little gifts around the home which was a nice surprise & touch.

We booked the Farmhouse to celebrate my wife’s 70th birthday with our family. We needed space for ten people. The property really suited our requirements. The bedrooms were really great with three having en-suite facilities. The view from the rear of the property was amazing. It’s a very quiet location which really suited us. We made full use of the pool table and the other games available. The owner Neil was very generous with the welcome pack which included items relating to my wife’s birthday plus lots of goodies for the kids. There is an excellent pub in Childswickham which is 5 minutes drive and Broadway is only 5-10 minutes drive away. We would definitely recommend this property as a base to explore the Cotswolds. It is also an beautiful house to spend your time in.

A lovely large property in a small rural village.
Great facilities, everything we needed. Lots of games for everyone to play.
Plenty of room for cars to park, great size garden which the kids loved playing football in.
Comfy beds.
Lots of bathrooms.
Great coffee machine with a great selection of coffee provided. The hamper provided was a nice touch.
Would definitely recommend this property and would stay again.

Beautiful Farmhouse with view over Dumbleton Hill, part of of the Costswold AONB. There were 9 of us but the property can sleep 11. The farmhouse is 10 minutes drive from Broadway which is great location for walks to Broadway Tower and has some excellent pubs, restaurants and shops. Location is good but note no shops or pub in the village. Large living room, dining room and open plan kitchen and good sized bedrooms. The host was excellent and provided all the information before and throughout our stay.

This house worked perfectly for 3 families, one with 2 young children. Ample bedroom and bathroom accommodation and space downstairs to spread out. Beds on the small side for tall people. Neil exceptionally helpful with answering any queries.

We had a lovely stay and the house worked very well for everybody.
Whilst understanding that the property is an old farmhouse, there were several banged heads on the low beams in particular the white beam between the kitchen and the small extension at the back. We believe that this should be highlighted so that it stands out.
It would have been helpful to have had instructions on kitchen appliances in particular the coffee machine.

The Farmhouse is a fantastic venue for a break with friends and family. All of the bedroom are of a good size and, like the rest of the property are well fitted out, clean and comfortable. The property is well equipped with a well provided kitchen, plenty of areas t sit and a great garden.
Location wise Aston Sommerville is a little limited, But you're close to so many places to visit within a 30 mnute drive you won't be short of things to do.
I'd 100% recommend The Farmhouse!

We were a group of five couples celebrating my wife’s birthday. We were all blown away by the house, a wonderfully equipped kitchen, luxuriously furnished sitting rooms and bedrooms.
I would definitely without hesitation recommend this house.
I always like to leave a balanced review, however, I’m struggling to pick out any negatives, the only thing that would have made it perfect would have been a pub within walking distance but that certainly didn’t spoil our weekend. I look forward to returning in the summer to take in those spectacular views.

A group of ten friends stayed over a long weekend. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, comfortable, well equipped, light and spacious and in a great location.The owner was an excellent host, communication was straight forward and everything well organised. We thought it was good value for money. The only minor negative from some of the group was that the bed mattresses were not quite right for them.. Overall our stay in the the house was a great success and everyone said they would like to return.

The house is extremely well appointed with every kitchen utencil and item that you may need, plenty of crockery and cutlery which is not usuallly the case in holiday rentals. It was a perfect house for all the family, with plenty of space for everyone. The outlook is stunning and the garden extension the favourite area of all. The location is extremely quiet but just 5 minutes from bustiling Broadway. The best thing to say it we would have loved to of stayed longer and will definately consider renting it again. Neil was extemely helpful and we were stunned by the gifts that were offered upon our arival, ie champayne , wine, gin and chocolates as well as basics such as eggs and milk. In all our years of renting holiday homes we have only been offered the basics. Plus the lovely wooden board upon departure shows the kindness and thoughtfulness of the owners, very much appreciated.

Weekend stay
The house is beautiful and clean and very well stocked with everything you need.
The rooms are very comfortable, we all had good night's sleep and it's very quiet so whoever else wakes up and gets moving first in the morning, does not disturb anyone else still sleeping. We had great communication from both Staycotswolds and Neil. It's not far from Broadway which has some lovely pubs. I would definitely stay here again and recommend. We had a great time.

Our Farmhouse stay
The farmhouse was well equipped and there was always someone on call if there was a problem (which there wasn't). It was considerate to leave us a bottle of prosecco and a thank you leaving gift. If there they would like improvement I think hand towel rails, toilet roll holders and coat hooks in the boot room for outdoor coats would be useful. It was a relaxing break for the whole family and plenty of garden space for the children.

Great house, great host!
The Farmhouse was ideal for our gathering - gorgeous, spacious property in a great location with amazing (sunset) countryside views. The house is beautifully decorated, well maintained and perfectly set up for relaxing, cooking and enjoying meals together. Neil is a fantastic host (really helpful and friendly) and has obviously put a lot of thought and care into making sure the house is welcoming, comfortable and equipped with everything you would need for a trip away. Could not have asked for more. Highly recommend and we hope to return to The Farmhouse again in the future!

What an amazing property, beatiful setting with stunning countryside views. The house was well equipped with lots of lovely extras. Neil was very helpful during our stay. The house is perfect for a get together with lots of sociable space and plenty of parking in a small quiet village. Pretty village of Broadway nearby.

A Perfect Stay
The Farmhouse is a lovely spacious property in a stunning location which my family organised for my 60th birthday! It was ideal for a large family gathering and everything was thought of for a perfect stay! Neil the host was brilliant and answered any questions we had , we would definitely recommend the Farmhouse.

The spacious lounge, and kitchen with conservatory, are great places to congregate and have a great view over the long garden and fields beyond. We saw some lovely sunsets. Dining in the large dining room was a pleasure and the adjacent boot room is ideal for dogs. The additional room at the front, and good broadband, was useful for adults needing a quiet space to catch up on work.
Bedrooms are of a good size and our 5 year old liked her mezzanine off her parents’ bedroom. The house is well specified so there is no shortage of hot water in the bathrooms and plenty of sockets and USB outlets in all the rooms.
Neil is a helpful host and some individual touches were the icing on the cake.

First class family holiday
The Farmhouse is a lovely spacious property, in a great location in the Cotswolds.
We enjoyed family time chatting, cooking and eating together in the Farmhouse, and visited a number of great places nearby; Bourton on the Water, Broadway, Sudely Castle walk, Chipping Camden walk, Cotswold Wildlife park.
We especially appreciated all the special touches that were provided at the Farmhouse for our stay.

Beautiful views
We have just finished a wonderful stay at the Farmhouse. We chose it as a central meeting point for a group of friends. The location was lovely with great views from the garden. The house is spacious and comfortable with plenty of space for 8 adults, a baby and two dogs! There were also lots of little welcome gifts to make us feel at home. Only suggestions for improvement would be a guest book / house manual with suggestions of local places to eat and walk.

Excellent cottage with beautiful views
Very well furnished and decorated and Neil was a very helpful host answering lots of queries. The cottage has everything you could want and has shops/pubs 5-10 minutes away. Ceilings are slightly low in some places (for those 6ft and taller) but would still highly recommend nonetheless!

Very Nice
We were here as an extended family and stayed for five nights.
All of us quite enjoyed the stay - the Farmhouse is very comfortable, well equipped, welcoming and relaxing. The whole place is well laid out and spacious. We are quite happy to go back here for another holiday.
In general we had no complaints, though there were a few minor niggles (toilet seat, etc)
