Not a favourite
My husband is 6ft4ins.and although much bedroom space, beams were too low for him.Loved the pub, evening meal and very friendly and caring staff.

Breakfast not what we expected, we had expected it cooked and served to us 🙄

The location, ambiance and fascination of staying in the Queens Head - built in the 15th Century was a delight. The rooms we had were spacious and full of charming character to say the least. The modern equipment installed was very good. People were very friendly. It felt good to be there. Uplifting.
Breakfast? What breakfast - bread, croissants, butter, some jam and marmalade was provided for first morning (Saturday) together with small pots of muselli. But only some more croissants and jam was added one evening for the next morning. So, no breakfast on the Monday! It had run out. We had an evening meal on the Friday after arriving in what is claimed to be a gourmet pub. The meal was OK but we were more or less in the noisy bar area. No evening meals were provided Sunday evening. (Theur ntice said there would be no meals Monday and Tuesday but actually it was Sunday as well. Misleading. This is a hamlet miles from the next one. We were told afterwards that we could have ordered a take-away. This should be made more clear up font so visitors know how to plan ahead.

This was our 2nd stay at The Queens Head and we will definitely be staying there again. Scott and Juliette are a lovely welcoming couple and nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is excellent and the apartment upstairs that we stayed in was very comfortable and clean and provided with everything that we needed. The area is very much a farming community with friendly and social folk attended the bar each evening. The food is also very good here.
Nothing to dislike.

The privacy of the room was excellent, with a bedroom, living room (with kitchen) and large bathroom.
The bed and the sofa were not as comfortable as we had hoped.

The continental breakfast was very good, which was supplied in you room, including milk and bread and cake.
Everything was of a high standard.

evening meal was excellent cannot be faulted. Owners who ran the pub very welcoming and friendly and were great hosts.
No cooked breakfast available for me on the Friday morning of my stay, I was provided in my room with croissants, condiments and sadly a stale bread roll which I left. There was tea and milk etc so it was passable at best however for £130 a night I would have expected a little better/more effort to be honest. Everyone has their own preference but for me the mattress was far too soft and thin. I prefer firm mattress

Beautiful rural location with lovely views. Apartment was clean and comfortable with everything we needed to enjoy the weekend. Appreciated the breakfast provisions. Host was welcoming and friendly.
Nothing. Stairs to apartment may be challenging to people with mobility issues.

Location perfect for exploring Suffolk and also well placed for Harwich night ferry.
Very helpful and accommodating; thank you!

The Queens Head is a lovely country pub full of lovely country people. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning again. Scott and Juliet are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is delicious and the service was very prompt.
Couldn't get channel 10 on the TV in the bedroom but this was a very minor thing.

Amazing food and amazing location. Staff all friendly, Will definitely be back.

The apartment was full of character and tastefully furnished in lovely rural location. Food in pub restaurant very good and all round good service.

Great, idyllic country location in an attractive Suffolk village. Scott and Juliet are perfect hosts, friendly and helpful. We ate several times in the pub, both breakfast and evening meals, and all had high quality ingredients and were tasty and reasonably priced.
The suite we stayed in had fantastic views over the surrounding countryside and was perfect for a short break, with self-catering amenities provided. Would Highly recommend as a fantastic place to unwind.
Nothing. Attention to detail, and tending to our needs was spot on! The pub is an historic establishment with lots of old world character. It has friendly and attentive staff, and even though it is quite remote there is a buzz in the bar even on quiet evenings. There are attractive outside seating areas for warmer weather.

Amazing room but beware of the low doorways and beams

Lovely new rooms in a very old building steeped in history!

This was a second visit and loved our stay. Set in such a beautiful location with views of the fields and very tranquil tiny village.
We preferred the apartment at the back that we stayed in last year as it had a shower rather than a bath and was quieter not being over the main pub. But both apartments very beautiful and comfortable. There was confusion with our breakfast box on the second morning but the owners were very kind, once we got home, in explaining the misunderstanding and hopefully in the future there will be clearer instructions.

Basic, but ok.
Nothing we were unhappy about.
We stay in a lot of various accommodations rarely the same one twice, but would definitely be happy to come back here.

What a lovely find. A fantastic apartment above a pub in a hamlet, surrounded by fields. The place is very well appointed and spotlessly clean. We were a bit worried that it might be noisy being above the pub but that was all good as well.

Scott and Juliette were so welcoming and the medieval room was absolutely perfect with such character and everything you would need. The surrounding area is stunning and the apartment so comfortable and unique. Would definitely recommend! Thanks so much
