If in York again, would definitely rebook. Also recommend to friends.

lovely, friendly guest house and if the weather is nice, a sweet outdoor space to sit in overlooking the river. Five mins walk - either along the river front or through the museum gardens to the centre of York and 5 minutes across the bridge to the railway station.

York is a lovely place and our accommodation made our stay all the more enjoyable

No breakfast available but location meant easy access to the cafe's

Perfect location for tourists.

Great location for train travelers. Riverside and just the right distance from The Shambles and the Minster. Great host, helpful with local information. The front terrace was inviting though the weather was a bit cool. Our room was smallish with a queen size bed. It was more than adequate for our travel style. Because The Abbey is close to the train station and bus stops, it is a great jumping off point to tour the entire area.

Beware of York on the week-end. It is party central. Loud and one step from out of control. Totally different character than during the week.

Lovely guest house in the most perfect location. We will return.

Location was fabulous, five minute walk along the river into the City Centre. Rob, the host, was very accommodating and friendly. Had a wonderful time.

Beautiful property with a lovely garden overlooking the river. Short walk along the river into town.

Very close to the main railway line, but noise not to bad and earplugs provided in the room.

Helpful staff, lovely room.

Fantastic stay. The staff were brilliant and couldn't have done more for us. They were incredibly helpful with parking, moving luggage and general assistance with what to do in the city. Excellent service. Bed was comfy and the shower was warm. We had a lovely view of the river each morning with a short walk to the city centre (no more than 10 minutes).

Self check-in was easy and efficient. The property is really well located right by the train station and very close to the city centre. The room and facilities were lovely, very clean and comfortable.

The Guest house was ideally situated on the bank of the Ouse within a short walk of the Old city and all its culture. Rob and Paula were great hosts, the rooms were bright and spotless, we enjoyed our stay there so much we will be booking again for next year.

Comfortable bed with crisp linen and lovely towels.

Excellent location to the Centre of York parking were nearby well lit at night time too, really secure within the building modern deco clean and bright. Our hosts were there if needing information about our stay.

The Stairs were to steep for me.
