About this house rental

This cabin offers its guests a combination of mountain rustic feel and easy living that provide amenities designed to fit your adventurous desire! The cabin is nestled on a quiet, wooded lot and is the perfect location for all of your outdoor adventures such as lake access, waterfalls, hiking, and more. While you are staying at Bear Bottoms, you will enjoy the free WIFI and streaming television in every room, which offer many programs and movies, including HULU & Disney +.
A fully equipped kitchen and eat in dining on the main level allows you to cook a succulent meal and is great for easy entertaining. The main level master bedroom is spacious and offers a king size bed with attached full bathroom. The loft is cozy & spacious as well and has a queen bed with its own private bath. The terrace level bedroom has two twin beds, and a full bath. Also on this level there is a game room with an air hockey table, numerous board games, and dart board for the kids or the young at heart adults. The full size washer and dryer is on the lower level as well. The cabin also features 3 fireplaces; a gas fireplace in the living room and 2 electric fireplaces downstairs in the game room and bedroom. There are 3 wonderful porches for sipping your morning coffee, and the most awesome outdoor fire pit to enjoy in the evening.
Helen is a short 30 minute drive away, and has many things to do too; zip lining, mountain roller coaster, cool river tubing on the Chattahoochee river, just to name a few. Blue Ridge is also a short drive and it is always fun to take some time and visit the “touristy” sights and activities, but return to Bear Bottoms Cabin for peace and privacy
Whether it's a boat on Lake Chatuge, the casino in Murphy, zip lining in Helen, a train ride ride in Blue Ridge, or a winery tour; the activities are endless. At the end of the day if peace and relaxation is what you are looking for, Bear Bottoms is the perfect cabin to get some R & R in the mountains.

My granddaughter and her girlfriend and I stayed for 4 nights. I wish we could have stayed longer. The girls loved the hot tub. Plenty of space. Had hot dogs and smores one night. They were wonderful. Thank you for sharing your cabin!

6 of us stayed for a long weekend for relaxation and a friends weekend. The house was lovely! Felt away from everything with gorgeous views but also a quick drive to a few restaurants and hiking trails! Everything was clean and ready for us- especially enjoyed coffee out in yard in the mornings!

This cabin was perfect for a relaxing girls' weekend. The location was ideal, and the hot tub was relaxing. Communication with the host was easy--we were able to have two questions answered quickly.

Lovely cabin located very near Hayesville and Hiawassee.Lots of room for us all. The only complaint we had was the thermostat setting is locked. Not a problem normally but the unseasonable weather made for hot nights and restless sleep .

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The cabin is nice. The beds were comfortable. If you are not use to driving in the mountains the road can be challenging. It is a steep grade and pretty narrow. We found out that the hot tub was not working once we got to the cabin. It was not a big deal but we did plan on using it. Also the thermostat is locked. You can not change the settings. We usually lower the temperature at night for a better sleep but this was not an option. We made due but this would not be our first choice to return too.

The cabin was nestled in the trees up on a hill. It was wonderfully equipped with a hot tub, grill, fire pit, rocking chairs-all the things you need to sit back and just relax. The bear decor throughout was nicely done. The kitchen was well equipped. The internet worked great which was a nice surprise. We really enjoyed our stay.

Yes this is the mountain's, but be aware this road is exceptionally steep. Not for cars that sit low, don't have a strong engine or are not meant for steep inclines.

The cabin was just what we needed. It was the perfect space for our family. The fireplaces and the outside fire pit area were wonderful. We even enjoyed the town. It wasn't crowded and it was beautiful. I will say the driveway and incline was something to get use to but we were able to have both SUVs in and even turned around. If you need a place to getaway and relax this is it.

The place was easily located , check in/out easy, bed was very comfortable. It was like being at home. Closely located to stores and adventures outside to explore in the area , the best Helton creek falls although a moderate hike worth every step!

Very nice cabin that is very nicely decorated and well equipped. Beds are comfortable. Everything worked well. Nice sitting area outside. Cleaning crew had to be called out because they failed to have cleaned the outside furniture for I don't know how long. Also had them do some cleaning inside under beds. Typical cleaning company that only does what they are made to do. Have to go behind to make sure you are getting what you are paying for. Overall a very nice and beautiful cabin. Thanks!

It was our first annual girls trip with our daughters. It was awesome the cabin was beautiful and location was wonderful. The girls had a blast. The drive up was a little nerve racking and turning around in the drive but other than that it was perfect!!! Thank you we will be back.

The trip was fantastic and the place was even better! The only reason we gave it 4 stars was the drive up to the cabin. No you don’t need 4x4 to get there but it is a lot steeper if a road than first told. We went in June and were scared of letting off the brakes and sliding back down the hill, I wouldn’t even attempt it in winter! So just be warned the road to the cabin is an adventure in itself!!

Excellent looking cabin steep road and driveway limited parking. Smaller cabin than we like but still had three bedrooms and 3 baths small rooms. Rear deck no way to get down from or get off. The wood floors squeak badly anytime anyone walks. The fire pit area and lighting are excellent (no wood); however, we stopped beforehand picking up 100-150 logs and lighter. We love our outside fire inside had a nice gas fireplace. Needs to have extra blankets with everything said. We had a great family time.

Bear Bottom was such a nice place! Our kids really enjoyed the air hockey table. We wanted to use the outdoor fire pit but it rained all weekend! Our only trouble was the very vertical road up to the cabin & the parking at the cabin. The roads were wet & it was VERY steep drive up the side of a mountain! The parking was very small so my hubs would have to do 20 point turn around just to get us out of the tiny driveway. Other than that it was perfect!

We chose the cabin because it was located for easy access to where our fly fishing guide wanted to meet us. Turned out that it was also located for easy access to good restaurants, some shopping, and a winery. The best part for us was gathering around the fire pit each evening. Definitely will return.
