By reserving this listing, you will be given access to both Das Stone Haus (4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms) and Das Vogel Haus (3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms). These homes are located right next to each other and are ideal for families or groups that need large adjacent accommodations.

*Things to be aware of for Das Stone Haus: The only way to access the king bedroom upstairs is by walking through the queen bedroom.
*Things to be aware of for Das Vogel Haus: The only way to access the upstairs loft bedroom is via an outdoor staircase. Furthermore, the bathroom in the loft does not have any partition between the bedroom and bathroom, so the bathtub is visible from the bedroom.

Das Stone Haus
LOCATION- 1 block north of Main Street and 3 blocks west of the center of downtown Fredericksburg
HOST- No host on property. The house is located next to Das Vogel Haus, which is also a guesthouse and sleeps up to 8 people.
SLEEPS- Up to 10 people in 4 bedrooms; two downstairs bedrooms each have a king bed, upstairs are a bedroom with two queen beds and a second bedroom with a king bed. Please be aware that you must walk through the queen bedroom in order to access the second bedroom upstairs.
BATH- 2 bathrooms; the downstairs bathroom has a walk-in shower and jetted tub and the upstairs bathroom has a walk-in shower
KITCHEN- Well-equipped kitchen with a Keurig but no dishwasher
BREAKFAST- No breakfast but coffee and tea are provided
AMENITIES- Smart TVs, WiFi, electric fireplace, front porch with seating, covered back patio with gas firepit and gas grill, off-street parking, walking distance to shops, tasting rooms, and restaurants including Hondo's and Crossroads.

Das Vogel Haus
LOCATION- 1 block north of Main Street and 3 blocks west of the center of downtown Fredericksburg
HOST- No host on property. The house is located next to Das Stone Haus, which is also a guesthouse and sleeps up to 10 people.
SLEEPS- Up to 8 people in 3 bedrooms; two downstairs bedrooms each have a king bed, queen bed in the sun room, upstairs are two king beds in the loft bedroom. (NOTE- To access the upstairs loft, you must use the outdoor staircase. Furthermore, the bathroom in the loft does not have any partition between the bedroom and bathroom, so the bathtub is visible from the bedroom)
BATH- 3 bathrooms; both of the downstairs bathrooms each have walk-in showers, the upstairs bathroom has a soaking tub
KITCHEN- Well-equipped kitchen with a Keurig but no dishwasher
BREAKFAST- No breakfast but coffee and tea are provided

Our group of family and friends stayed in both houses which are on the same property next door to each other. The homes ae comfortable and well appointed and an easy walk to Main Street. We would stay again!

Small homes with small rooms. Numerous dangerous aspects of the property such as an old garage out back falling apart with debris and unmarked, unsafe parking conditions. That aside, I attempted to contact the owner to settle an $85 reimbursement dispute. They first ignored the email, then said they were out of town and would follow up, then ignored it for another 3 months. When I followed up again, they said they'd done all they could do, which was nothing. If being given the run around on an $85 dispute when spending over $1,000 per night on a multi-night stay isn't a concern, go ahead and give it a shot.

We rented both homes and more than enough room for our family of 14. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean and sufficient. The kitchen was adequately outfitted and easy to prepare meals in. We loved the outside fire pit and enjoyed that in the evening. The kids loved the openess of the home and playing outside. Home was close to shopping and plenty of parking for cars. We would definitely stay here again. Downside: No washer/dryer or dishwasher.

We used both houses for a party of 14, for my daughter's Bachelorette trip. The houses were perfect for our group with lots of amenities. It is located a block off of Main St., so if you want to walk to destinations on that street, you can. We chose to frequent the areas of Main that require a short drive. The beds are extra comfortable. I would suggest bringing extra paper goods and dish towels. We could not get our fire pit to light, which was the only draw-back. We would definitely stay here again!

Our group stayed in both houses. Everyone had plenty of space and the house was within walking distance to Main St. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful houses in a great location near Main Street. No problem with parking or checking in. A few things like door knobs loose ( kept falling off) and broken cracked window but overall a comfortable home and enjoyed our stay.

The number of bedrooms and bathrooms was a big plus and perfect for our family. The houses are historic interesting, as well as being comfortable and in a great location. Thanks for your hospitality!

The homes themselves were cute and the space was accommodating. However, the condition of the homes was not great. The toilet in one of the homes was always running and we had to mess with it a lot. The grills were not usable (one even had a birds nest in it). The homes were overrun with pests. One home was overrun with the little black bugs called Lovebugs. They were in dishes inside the home so clearly those had not been washed or even looked at. The other home was infested with large water bugs. Not just outside the home but inside too. We killed one against the wall and four more came running out of the window frame. It was awful. One of our nephews refused to sleep there and slept on the couch at the other house, he was so frightened. The coffee makers are difficult to use. Needless to say we were disappointed. Your cleaning staff and pest control leave a lot to be desired. Folks don't travel out of town to stay in places that are not clean and where bugs are everywhere.
