The property was very secluded, other than the owners home right across the road. The home had plenty of space and was comfortable and clean . Thanks.

The Western Blue Sky made a memorable stay for our family trip to South Dakota. The hosts ensured we had everything we needed and provided great advice on things to do in the area. The home was new and clean. The kitchen was well stocked. It provided a great location to see all the area attractions. You can smell the pine in the air from the pine forests in the Black Hills and at night it is perfect for star gazing. The views are spectacular from the upper porch area. We would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful country getaway
We enjoyed our stay in the country, the sunsets on the upper deck were amazing! Close many of the sites we wanted to visit. Sharron was quick to answer all our questions. The unit was immaculate with plenty of space for everyone.

Peaceful and Remote
We had plenty of room for our family of five. We had extra beds. It was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. There were beautiful areas on the property to explore. We did several day excursions into the Hills and could be in Custer in about 30-40 min. Hot Springs is only a few miles away. We had a great time!

Great place to stay
Very nice home and the owners were always checking in to see if we needed anything. The only downfall was only one bathroom for our group of 6.

Exactly what we wanted in a trip to South Dakota
My wife and I and our two kids (7 & 4) loved our stay here. The home is centered on a nearly 200 acre property bordering the Black Hills. There are other rentable spaces as well as the property owners nearby, but there is no reason for that to detract you from choosing this location as each location is uniquely divided.
We enjoyed walking the property and taking in the beautiful sites. We also enjoyed being out of the heavy tourism areas. Everything is within a reasonable and scenic drive. Make sure to see Mammoth Cave in Hot Springs. Also good to see is Wind Cave National Park. Plan to arrive early to secure a tour time as tickets go fast. We got tickets for a later time in the day and went and grabbed lunch in Hot Springs.
Home was exactly as pictured and very well kept and clean. Individual room air conditioners kept the room nice and cool especially during the hottest of days. Home has everything you should need during your stay. Sharon and Perry are great hosts! Thank you!

Home away from home
What a wonderful stay our family had. It was truely a home away from home. We felt instantly comfortable in the rural surroundings. The children loved the cattle and being able to walk around the fields. The wildflowers were in abundance and so beautiful. It felt very private.

Great Place for a Family Vacation
The location between Hot Springs and Wind Cave Park was perfect for us. The place was immaculate and the hosts were immediately available when we needed assistance.. Lots of room to spare for our family of 5 to spread out. Loved looking out the windows at the forest and sitting outside on the patio for morning coffee. We also outside one night on the patio and listened to the sounds of the wildlife all around us. We wanted quiet and solitude (not crowds) and this was the perfect place for us.

Great place and location
Great property and location. The property is isolated and away from the crowds. Mount Rushmore is about to 1.5 hrs and the Badlands were about 2.5 hrs away. We loved hiking around the property and seeing the wildlife. We would definitely come back. The owners we very helpful and hospital. The property had everything that we needed. Great vacation with the comforts a home!
