Comfortable
Owners changed this property 6 days before we were due to stay here for Christmas. Downgraded to a property with one bathroom. Owners promised a £25 refund. They haven't been in touch since.
I specifically booked the above property for 2 bathrooms for 6 adults and one baby!
The new property main oven didn't work. Christmas Dinner cooked in a grill.
Downstairs toilet leak at back, carpet badly stained. Disgusting.
TV remote didn't work all the time.
Water waste from upstairs shower and kitchen blocked so soiled water spilling out all of patio area.
Property looks in desperate need of some TLC. Badly kept.
I now would like compensation of £175.
If I haven't heard back from owners in 48 hours. Then I'd like booking.com to advise next step.

It was close to the train and bus stations, and shops were nearby. It was reasonably comfortable for a short stay and was warm.
Having been told we needed to pay a £250 deposit in cash on arrival we received an email the day before travelling requesting a bank transfer or access to the property would be denied. We quoted the terms and conditions and were told we could pay in cash. On arrival there was no one at the property although we were slightly early. On calling we were given a keybox number and had to ask how to pay the deposit. The owner said he would see if his wife was nearby. No one appeared but when we looked out of the back gate for the parking space she appeared out of a door in the garden from the garage, which appeared to have been converted to an office. We paid the deposit which was returned almost straight away!
The decoration was a little tired for a "newly refurbished" property. The L shaped sofa obstructed the door to the living room and the all glass coffee table was a hazard. We all had bruises from knocking into it. There were no operating instructions eg for switching on the oven. The oven tray, and oven itself, were greasy and could not be cleaned as there was no washing up liquid, cleaning cloths, tea towels or any other cleaning materials. There was plenty of crockery but limited cutlery and utensils and no cooking dishes. The handle on the frying pan was very loose making it dangerous.
The garden was untended and overgrown with a badly leaking downpipe.

The house was clean and comfortable. Everything was provided, such as tea and coffee. The house was situated in a nice residential area. Although not the accommodation booked due to a problem with the original house, the owners did everything to accommodate us and our travel plans.
Being under the flight path of Heathrow airport! Impossible to sleep past 6 am. No designated parking meant, nowhere to park on return Friday night. No plug in bathroom sink and water pressure low in the bathroom. Couldn't get the WiFi to connect.

Lovely house with lots of room, lovely and clean and literally 5 minutes from town centre. Great communication and so easy to pick up and drop off keys!

The location in Staines was great. It was very near High Street and right around the corner was a fantastic food court. The house itself was spacious and comfortable and the facilities well kept. Finally, the service was amazing, questions were answered promptly.
The only thing to check is the oven.

Location was good. House was a nice size and warm. Teabags, sugar etc provided. Towels were also provided. Cot didnt go through on the booking but staff came and got one for us.
We arent very fussy but if had to pick negative stuff...bath didnt work so couldnt bath the baby. Main bedroom mattress was very hard. Couldnt sleep on it. So we moved to the downstairs one which was fine.
