Very nice pretty , pool little but beautiful view and great to relax
I checked out they didn’t have me the check and then a weird charge was in my card . I tried contacting the hotel no response . That puts a very bad note at the end . Front desk and maids very Very nice so sad an administrative fail is smudging all the great work of the others

The property was downtown and close to the arena. Centrally located and the parking garage seemed secure and very convenient. It was unexpected but very much appreciated. Breakfast was really good but they could use a couple more waffle makers. Only two and the hotel seemed pretty full so there was a wait to make waffles. The room was clean and very comfortable but the hallways needed some attention. Overall this hotel was a pleasant stay for a weekend in Tucson. We would stay there again. We actually stayed two nights.
The staff could be a little friendlier.

This hotel is convenient to downtown and the historic section of Tucson. It's just across the street from St Augustine Cathedral and a short walk to Congress Street.. Congress Street has a few full service restaurants, several ice cream shops and bars. We took a walking tour of the city while there and it started just a few blocks from the hotel. The facility itself is immaculate. Several reviews mentioned the breakfast and it was very good and had many options. The hostess at breakfast was especially friendly and pleasant as was Lupita at the front desk.
The gate to the parking garage did not open easily with the room key and we had to call for help each time we drove in or out of the garage. I watched other guests have the same issue.
Front desk staff on the weekend was business like but not particularly friendly so I dreaded each time we had to ask for help. I felt their parking fees could have been more transparent. The guest ahead of us was billed $75 for one night of on street parking. It's $20 a night to park in the garage. The front desk person did not offer him this option.
I opted for the courtyard view for our room. We were on the the third floor and while we did have a view of the cathedral and the mountains we also were on the same level as the outdoor terrace and needed to keep our shades drawn for privacy. So much for the view!!

We generally like staying at Hampton Inns because of their value to comfort ratio. This facility is quite new and everything I encountered was in great repair. My room with a king bed was spacious and equipped with a microwave, mini refrigerator and a large flat screen TV that allowed Netflix and included Showtime and HBO. The bed was comfy and gave me a good night's sleep. The bathroom was roomy and I finally saw a use of "barn styled sliding doors" as an interior feature that I actually liked. The complimentary breakfast had a nice seating arrangement being spacious and with various seating configurations. The food choices are basic but well thought out: some nice baked goods, several hot selections, yogurts, acceptable coffee choices and teas, juices plus self-make waffles. Along with its location close to Tucson's downtown area made my stay very satisfying.
My check in was quite abrupt without the usual "welcome to..." and lacking the speech on what they offer. I noticed the other clerks throughout my stay were doing those things so maybe the young man that checked me in was still undergoing training. The weather didn't cooperate so I didn't choose to use the pool. I dislike those little creamer containers for coffee and wish they had some pitchers.

The pool was amazing and so was the gentleman cleaning the pool and the am female manager
The gentleman at the front desk checking in was quite rude. Didn't seem like he wanted to get off his butt and help. Pm shift definitely needs more then one person. We had to wait a good hour in line to even check in. He didn't seem like he even wanted to be there. Very un friendly. Also we had handicap plates and had to park SO far. Parking was not ideal. We've stayed at places way cheaper that gave us more respect.

Location. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice view.
It’s extra for parking so if you’re on a budget you can check in and park 1/2 mike down the road on Stone.

The food was amazing we ended up eating breakfast at the hotel all week since it was filling and yummy. We were in such a good location to walk around downtown and see the courthouse building with the gem and mineral museum and this great coffee shop. We were able to walk to get dinner a couple of nights with ease but it didn’t sound like we were in a downtown area it was quiet and peaceful.
I didn’t know about the extra security deposit or the garage fee until we got there it wasn’t the worst thing but when I booked it it said total price was one thing and then it was a couple hundred more when I got there but it didn’t really cause any issues just caught me off guard.

Food was very good with lots of choices. They arrangement of food stations reduces waiting in line.
One of the two elevators was out of service.

The Hotel was clean and the room was excellent and bigger than most other rooms
Other guests put their dirty sheets and towels outside of their rooms but no one ever picked them up so we looked at the same sheets in the hallway for 2 days

The room size is great and the pool across from the downtown cathedral is stunning. Great location.
The elevators seem to prioritize the most recent input, which meant that we often would be forced back up to higher floors when we were previously heading down. Just a minor inconvenience.
