Absolutely stunning house. We can't wait to be back. Thank you

We enjoyed our time here. Day trips to the redwoods, bird watching, hot tubbing, swings by the fire. Would definitely stay again!

It was an easy, no traffic, 10 minute drive to the trailheads of th redwood forest. And only 5 minutes to the ocean. The mist crept through the trees every morning. We had a beautiful view from the deck to the valley below. The kitchen was terrific for putting together some great family dinners. The big dining room table was perfect for cards and board games. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were very spacious. The house is beautiful and has everything one needs to relax and enjoy
Two tips: The gravel drive to the house is steep and intimidating. We found if we kept a steady pace up it went much more smoothly. Bring slip on shoes to keep by the door. There’s a no shoes in the house rule, which is fine. But slip ons make it easier to step outside
One complaint: I wasn’t impressed with Vacasa. Their communication seemed haphazard. Sometimes it was through the app, sometimes text, sometimes email. Why not just use the app? Also, I requested permission for a third car parking spot a week before we left as is stated on the property description. The Vacasa person I contacted was completely unaware of the requirement and completely unhelpful. I was told to talk to the property manager when I got there. Of course, that would be too late as we would already be on our way in three different cars. As it turned out we pulled up just as the cleaning person was leaving. She was very welcoming and accommodating. I think Vacasa needs to smooth out their system

The house was beautiful, loved the deck for morning coffee. Road coming up to the house was easy to miss and is a bit steep but would be manageable with 2WD vehicles. It just adds to the seclusion of the property. The house was immaculate, master suite was wonderful, wife enjoyed the tub. Hot tub was great after long hikes in the redwoods.
5.0
The house is beautiful! The kitchen is fully stocked with all the tools for creating meals. The master bathroom is a dream! I took advantage of the tub. The hot tub and sayings were the perfect way to end a day of hiking.
Orick is the perfect location to visit the Redwood Trails. The Buckarettes Horseback riding is a must. And visit Trees of Mystery!

Wonderful location for exploring the Redwoods and Northern California Coast. Clean. Great kitchen

The home was beautiful, kitchen was amazing, beds comfy, hot tub was great feature, laundry available was very nice. Only full service grocery store was in Eureka about 50 min drive unless you go to Trinidad to Murphys but it was expensive. Weather was cold and windy. We were able to hike nearby, visited Trees of Mystery, Skunk Train, found a mountain stream/river clear blue water to hang out at. Loved the rosemary planted by house it smelled nice walking out. Corn hole, board games was nice. Wifi was not the best but but it worked, and TV's were hard to figure out. I never got the one in master bedroom to work. Instructions would be helpful but we really didn't have much time to watch TV. Porch and patio were very nice, wish it was a tad warmer and we would have used it more. The town is very small and run down, hate to see that but nobody bothered us and when we visited the small food/liquor store in town and they were nice. The food was less than what we needed for cooking all week. Overall, this place is a find and again beautiful views and location, we enjoyed ourselves.

This house is amazing! Very pretty, spacious, comfortable and clean! The master bedroom and bathroom were luxurious and wonderful. The hot tub, sauna and fire pit were fun. The view including the mountains, valley and elk were stunning.
We were a teeny tiny bit leery about getting off the highway into a single lane gravel road through an aging neighborhood, but we went on through and up the hill, and up the hill some more on a Very well maintained drive to the nicest house and most amazing view we could’ve imagined. Such a great find! We definitely want to go back!

Wonderful property, my wife and I don’t travel as much as we’d like to, so when we do, we like to stay at nicer properties.
We did some hiking each morning, we’d stop for lunch, head back to the property, soak in the hot tub and then make dinner in this awesome kitchen. Place was super clean and kept in top shape.

Loved the kitchen. Bedrooms are comfortable. Everything very clean. Enjoyed the hot tub. And the house is very close to several trailheads.

Gorgeous views from the deck, surrounded by elk, solar eclipse, majestic redwoods and hiking, and a hot tub to loosen you up after a long day of hiking. Perfect! We made a list of our favorite vacation home rentals and this was easily number 1! Come back in a heartbeat.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The property was very roomy, clean, comfortable, and extremely well equipped. Everything is upscale including the fixtures and appliances. The pictures accurately represent the house & property - very nice! We really enjoyed the firepit and plenty of firewood was provided. The property is perched on a hillside overlooking Orick with a nice view. The road up to the house is steep so it may be difficult when slippery but we had no issues since it was dry. The town itself is a bit run down but within minutes either way you're surrounded by the parks and natural beauty of the area. There's not much in the town but it has 1 small (high-priced) grocery store. We went horseback riding in the Redwoods, starting from a spot right there in town. Wonderful!
Vacasa was very responsive! We felt we got a lot of house for our money and highly recommend staying here.

The house is beautiful and so nicely done. Everything that you will need has been anticipated. We had elk in the pasture at the bottom of the road to the house for part of our stay.

Of all the vacation rental we have used all these years, this place is the best so far. Even my picky wife is satisfied. The house exterior, interior, and yard accessories are 10/10. If there is a down side, it would be the neighborhood. Then again, we are here for the trees, drives, and hikes. So that did not factor into our trip, thus did not matter much. Oh, the fact that we brought/bought our food to cook means we did not have rely on neighhood eatery. I highly recommend it. As the host's kitchen is beyond stocked with every utensil and spices. It would be a shame not to take advantage of it.
The beds are well sized, clean, and of excellent medium firmness that would cure your weary sore backs from a hard day of hiking.
The massive sized livingroom, kitchen, dinning room, and front porch made family relaxing a breeze. Each of us were able to find our own comfortable nitche hole to sit/lay down.
The backyard is full of enjoyment: hot tube, steam room, BBQ, fire pit.
Oh, the other downside is the internet. It is painfully slow and if you must rely on it for vital work, forget about it. It is not the fault of the host. The isolation nature of the place is what we were seeking, so bad internet is expected. So bring your books or HDD stocked with movies to enjoy. Host's DishTV gets excellent signal though. So there is that.
Man, I can keep going. But I need to stop somewhere. Book it, you won't be disappointed.

This home is fantastic and perfect for those looking to have a beautiful & comfortable place to come home to after exploring the redwoods & coast!

The house amenities, and property management services were impeccable. We have stayed at many Vacasa managed vacation homes in many locations in the western U.S. and this was one of the best we have experienced. The location is hard to beat, minutes from incredible world class hikes in the Redwood forest. The only thing we didn't like were the creepy exterior security cameras which appear to be focused on the hot tub and sauna, when it clearly looks like the owners live next door above the barn.

The home was extremely clean, offered a ton and was almost in the National and state parks which is why we came. Very happy with our time there.

Very clean, serene property. Surrounding views are beautiful

The house was located up a hill from town which provided necessities nearby, but a sense of privacy and quiet.
Everything in the house was in great shape, clean and the accommodations were well above average. Beds were comfortable, common space well laid out, and kitchen well stocked with equipment. On the outside there are good places to sit on decks, sit on hanging benches around a fire ring, or sauna or hot tub to one side of the property. We loved the place. As an added bonus, we had a whole herd of Roosevelt elk pass through the yard one morning. We would definately stay again.

This beautifully appointed house was privately situated on a hill with 3 acres and a view of the valley. The entire house was thoughtfully and thoroughly outfitted with everything from kitchen essentials to laundry soap. We loved the welcome snacks and the s’mores kit! Thanks for sharing your lovely home!

Amazing place on top of a hill. Great views, fire pit, games, hot tub, and sauna.

This is a beautiful home, with beautiful views from everywhere you are looking, the elk in the morning, hot tub, fire pit, huge soaking tub, kitchen with everything you could need (bring your own food of course)…just so many things to love. Close to the beaches, hiking, Trees of Mystery.
We brought all our food, used the bbq, s’mores around the fire pit, something for everyone.
The beautiful hydrangea plant when you first pull up is absolutely stunning. The steep gravel road to get to the house was surprising at first, but just because I didn’t know about it. After the first drive up the hill it was no problem.
You can’t go wrong booking this place.

We made our trip a pacific coast highway trip from San Francisco to Orick. And the reason we wanted to see there was how close it was to the redwoods in the multiple state parks and it is the ideal location… But beyond being the ideal location the house is amazing, the vantage point and the views are spectacular. The house itself is well-maintained and gorgeous the master suite is huge and we were able to stay with our family of four and have plenty of space and have dinner at the house with everything that we needed…a must as far as a rental is concerned!

Very nice house, well supplied with everything that was needed, beds were some of the nicest that we ever had while renting,
good location for exploring the redwoods. Lots of wild life to see.

Newer home perched on the side of a mountain with great views of the valley below. Very clean and spacious interior. Large deck and fire pit with lawn areas. Large chefs kitchen fully stocked with gas range. Very steep gravel road up to the house rewards you with magnificent views. Although you can hear some road noise throughout the day you will find it diminishes as you enjoy a glass of wine on the deck later in the day while looking for the elk in the valley below or the fog rolling in above the redwoods. The owners and management company were very responsive. The owners take great pride in their home and we were lucky they were willing to share their home. Tip: come prepared with food and necessities as the closest major grocery store is 40 minutes away. There is no real local town and the small market in Orick has very basic food and snacks but check the expiration dates!

Big house, big rooms, big tub, big deck, big parking pad, big views looking over Orrick and a dairy. Centrally located for hiking. Ask for wood - the stove makes it feel a little more cozy.

Logan's Landing is just a few miles from major Redwood trails including Trillium Falls, Lady Bird Johnson Grove, Tall Trees Grove, and Fern Canyon, and we regularly saw elk from the deck as we looked down in the valley below the house. The house was clean and well maintained. I can't think of anything we needed that was not provided. The Orick Market is nearby and has a decent selection buy I suggest stocking up at a major grocery store before checking in. Restaurants are also a bit of a drive--the Beachcomber Cafe in Trinidad was great and offers vegan options.
