About this cabin rental
Creekwood Cottage (Union Co. License #024256) is located between Blue Ridge & Blairsville on a wooded lot on a wide section of Youngcane Creek, which flows into Nottley Lake just one mile away. Our 3-story, pet friendly cabin has a wraparound deck surrounded by trees, a lower level patio, a creekside deck, hammock porch, and fire pit next to the creek. Listen to the sound of the water from the wraparound deck or from inside the house with the doors or windows open. Sleeps up to 8 people with a mix of rooms and beds to choose from. For families, there is a room on the lower lower with a bunk bed and twin bed for kids instead of using bedroom(s) with queen bed(s). *Ideal for people who want to avoid stairs - it's only one step to the deck from the driveway, then it's all one level for 2 of the bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen/dining, living room, and porch.* Enjoy floating on tubes, swimming, or playing in our creek, then relax by the fire pit or inside by the fireplace. Check out the video of the creek!
MAIN FLOOR: Open kitchen/dining/living room with fireplace and TV, 1 bedroom with king bed, 1 bedroom with queen bed, full bathroom, and large wraparound porch with rocking chairs, porch swing, patio table, and grill. Half of the deck can be fenced to provide a large enclosed space for dogs.
2nd FLOOR: 1 bedroom with queen bed and a large open sleeping loft (typical cabin style) with queen bed, workspace, and a full bathroom.
LOWER LEVEL: Family room/reading nook/game room with 2 seating areas, 55" swivel TV, room with bunk bed and twin bed for kids, full bathroom, laundry closet, and covered patio.
You couldn't choose a better location! Nottley Lake and marinas with boat and kayak rentals and bass fishing are just a few minutes away. Downtown Blairsville with its quaint shops, restaurants, famous farmers market, and frequent concerts on the historic square is 10 minutes away. In Blue Ridge, 20 minutes away, ride the Blue Ridge Railway, visit Mercier Orchard for apples, shop fun stores, and dine in gourmet or hometown restaurants downtown. There are numerous short hikes to waterfalls (Trahlyta Falls, Helton Creek Falls, DeSoto Falls, etc.) and nearby hiking trails in the Chattahooche National Forest, as well as the Appalachian Trail, which is only 30 minutes from the house (Blood Mountain Overlook and Mountain Crossing). Brasstown Bald, Georgia's highest peak, is just 30 minutes away. Vogel State Park, Aska adventure area, tubing, and whitewater rafting are also nearby. Kids and families will enjoy gem mining, alpaca farms, Chattahoochee National Fish Hatchery, miniature golf, swimming in the lakes, tubing, ziplining, and nearby Meeks Park with a swimming pool, splash pad, and skateboard park. For wine enthusiasts, there are several vineyards in the area with wine tastings and tours (including Odom Vineyard in our own neighborhood!), as well as Grandaddy Mimm's Distillery in downtown Blairsville. Ellijay, apple capital of Georgia and a quaint town full of shops and excellent restaurants, is a little further, but worth a visit. All of the surrounding towns boast enjoyable events year-round. Check out the calendar of events online for Blairsville, Blue Ridge, and Ellijay for dates for the famous fall festivals, apple festivals, art shows, live music events, and more. Numerous pamphlets, fliers, maps, and restaurant menus are available in the house.

We had so much fun during our stay. The set up of the house was perfect for us couples and our families. Our favorite part was drinking coffee in the morning, listening to the creek and watching the deer play. The creek was amazing, we spent a lot of time walking and skipping rocks through it. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
My heart is in Blairsville so I will definitely be back! ❤️

The house was spacious with plenty of room for each of our party to have their own space and privacy. The bathrooms were larger than I expected with plenty of clean towels and places to hang them after use. The kitchen had everything we needs to prepare breakfast each morning, and there was adequate seating space for our party of 7. It was easy to access the house from the parking area which was a blessing for my husband who needs a cane for walking. The wrap-around porch was such a peaceful place to sit and have morning coffee as we listened to the creek below. Because we were in the area for a family reunion, we didn't spend as much time at the property as we might have otherwise. So we didn't get to enjoy the fire ring down near the creek, but it sure was inviting. The house was a perfect space for our family, much better than a hotel. I hope it will be available for us the next time we need lodging near Blairsville.

Beautiful tree top view from large deck. Very relaxing. Lots of birds and deer. House had everything we needed and then some. Very well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Plenty of towels. Very nice for multiple families since it has 3 complete levels. Each level basically has 2 bedrooms (upstairs has a loft and a bedroom) and a full bathroom along with living area on each floor. Allows each group to have some space of their own. Thank you for hosting us.

Cabin was clean, kitchen was well appointed and lots of sleeping spaces in basement if you bring a lot of kids. Owners were very quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we had. Very peaceful!

Our family is from South Florida and we really needed a respite from the incredibly hot summer we had and some time to recharge and reconnect with nature. This was a perfect spot with everything we needed. While only 5 minutes from shopping, the home still had a remote feel as it sits on a very wooded lot. The firepit and the creek running through the property were icing on the cake!
House was very well equipped and clean. The 3-floor layout was perfect allowing everyone to have privacy as needed.
Fantastic location with lots of hikes and parks close by and great place to recharge. Highly recommend and would stay again for sure.
Thank you Krista and Michael, for opening up your lovely home to us!!

We attended our grandson’s wedding in Blairsville, GA, so I rented this house for the extended family to stay. It was great. The house has three floors with 6 bedrooms and 3 baths. The back deck and patio overlook a babbling stream with a fire pit and patio table and seating next to the water. We will do it again, hopefully in the fall when the leaves are changing colors.

The house, the surrounding property, and the small towns were amazing. Looking forward to next year and Thanksgiving in the Blue Ridge area.

This was the perfect spot for our 3 families to stay. The kids stayed busy playing games and skipping rocks. We saw deer and enjoyed the fire pit creekside. The property was clean and well stocked. They had everything you could possibly think of. Note: if you are the type to need tv sound to fall asleep bring a tablet are laptop. You must check out the swinging bridge if you go adventuring out. There is a whole binder full of fun places to go. These cabin managers pay attention to detail.

A solace for Great Fellowship
We had some adults to drop out at the last minute so it turned out to be more expensive for those going. The fellowship and meal times were wonderful. Hope next time we could stay another day.

With 7 grandchildren it was wonderful, they had their space downstairs to hang out and we had plenty of adult space too. It was very clean and modern. The creek was definitely a bonus to play in. Spacious porch to sit and grill and area to have a fire with s’mores was lots of fun too!! Not crowded with tons of people and traffic.

Fun with a twist
The property was good. Plenty of room for our group of 10 but one more larger bed would have been better. Only down side was the driveway and the creek access could be better.
