We were in town for a wedding so did not get to spend a ton of time at the property which is a shame. The home has many areas to enjoy your morning coffee or beverage at night. Stunning back yard and ocean views on top floors. Will definitely consider for future trips. Communication was great we really did not need any intervention.

Great home for a large family or a group of friends. Quiet streets next to a good hiking preserve. 10 min from downtown Boothbay Harbor.

We were celebrating my sister getting married soon. Overall it was a great experience and a comfortable space for us all to enjoy. Not too far from downtown Boothbay Harbor while also having privacy. Check in was delayed by an hour due to the property still being cleaned from the previous guests and the trash outside was overflowing. Other than that, which wasn’t super impactful just some mild inconveniences, it was a great stay and I would recommend it to anyone with a larger group.

Large space great for a big family.

This is the second time I have rented this house. It is beautiful, clean and spacious for my family and you will want for nothing. My only heartache with this place is the price goes up a thousand or more every year- I really wanted to book again for 2025 but its out of my reach.

We stayed as part of an extended family trip (six adults plus an infant), and had a great visit. The house is well-appointed on a really quiet property. We like to cook when traveling, and really enjoyed the kitchen. Plenty of room to spread out across families, including the huge deck space. The view of the ocean from the third floor is under-represented from the photos online; we were pleasantly surprised by the ocean vista. Access to Boothbay is easy, and we enjoyed hiking to the coast at the nearby Linekin Preserve. The DVD and book collection at the house is great. A perfect match for the trip we were looking for.

1st visit these Maine environs. Loved it! Locale Fantastic! Planned reunion 9-months out from 11-nite July stay. Rental looked perfect for 10 family members reuniting. Anxiety all 9-months what if Vrbo NOT fix issues w/ cleaning; appliances; WINDOWS; supplies pointed out in the 2022 reviews? They made it ½ way! Space very clean & welcoming (but please replace sweep broom grody w/ dog hair). Yard&Garden well kept. Washer&Dryer NEW. The dishwasher worked well enough. For high-season $rate of this rental, expected windows would have been fixed. SW facing 2nd-floor Bedroom 3 NONE of 6 Casement windows could open. Debated ask Vacasa fix but no want repair folks in&out during OUR vacation. Same in 1st-floor Bedroom 1. On edge of 90 degrees days a few of days of stay= pretty uncomfortable. Great provided many fans, but better =fix windows! Vacasa obviously aware of problem. Should make accommodation for this inadequacy. Estimate 65% of casement windows thru-out house w/ issue AND many Blinds. //Enjoyed cookout on wonderful deck. Alas BBQ propane tank quickly ran out (i.e. they left an empty tank)=as much as searched couldn’t find 2nd backup tank. Here another spot where management should make sure house well prepped for customer b4 rental starts. ALL in ALL, loved the space & comfortable vibe in all the common areas. Kitchen very well stocked (but no blender) pleasant & convenient for meal prep. Enjoyed watching fog on harbor in mornings from master bedroom porch + sunsets from Loft

Clean, comfortable, spacious, well furnished, easy to be in.
Some windows did not open due to broken open-close fixtures.

Boothbay Harbor is a gorgeous area. This home had lots of space for my family (and dog) to spread out both indoors and outdoors. We loved the many areas to sit and connect. Grounds were absolutely beautiful with an array of flowers bordering the outdoor decks and social areas. Just a few miles to the Carriage House, the General Store, Lobster Warf and downtown East Boothbay. Also, an hour to Portland/Brewster/Bath/ Freeport in the South and Camden/Rockland in the East, all great locations for day trips. Kitchen was well stocked to allow for many meals to be prepared. House was clean, and yard well-manicured. Some window latches are broken which didn't allow use of windows which may pose issues in warmer weather, but house had numerous fans to use. Upstairs loft allowed for a beautiful view of the ocean, but windows didn't open and there were no blinds so not ideal sleeping space due to 4:30 sunrises and heat rising. Loft area was hot by midday. Our biggest concern was the dining table and chair. Although large enough to seat 12, one table leg and many chair legs were rickety and felt unsafe. I would urge the owner to replace or repair table to ensure no renters are hurt by collapsing table or chairs. All in all, we loved this home and had an amazing time. Would consider returning to this home if ever back in Boothbay.

This property is exceptionally private.... hidden away in the woods of East Boothbay. But... only minutes to restaurants, the grocery store, Boothbay Harbor, and Ocean Point. The manager was organized and responsive. Check in was easy. The house has lots of large rooms with 3 sitting areas in the living room. The furniture is not fancy.... but was comfy enough for us. The master bedroom with king size bed is upstairs. The mattress and linens were good. All things considered.... I rate this property as very good and give it an 8 on a 10 scale.

This house has such potential. We travel each summer with another family (8 total) and stay in home that has a great looking kitchen and area for us to have family dinners/game nights. We chose this house with that in mind.
When we arrived at the property, it was noted quickly that the house was not clean - there were long, dark hairs all over the floors, on the toilet seat (that had a sanitizer wrapper on it), and even in the dishes in the kitchen cabinet. Gross. There were spiderwebs all over the house - many in the main living area.
It was a warm day and we knew the house would not have A/C but many of the windows did not open and the window cranks were all stripped.
We contacted Vacasa about the cleanliness sending pictures of the dark hairs and they basically said ‘thanks for contacting us.’ Regarding the windows, they put us in touch with a maintenance man who brought us fans the next day which helped…but the one room that had no open windows was HOT. We had to change sleeping arrangements as it was too hot to sleep in the room - even with the fans.
Many of the kitchen cabinet doors were not connected, the pots/pans were not cared for and overly used. The water pressure in the master bedroom was almost non-existent…to the point where we stopped showering in it.
This house is on a beautiful property and has great views. If the owners and mgmt company would fix things (kitchen cabinet doors, wonky kitchen faucet, window cranks), clean better and pay greater attention to details (replace pots/pans, have matching glasses for water/juice, etc.) they would be able to charge a lot more and have repeat customers.
We have referred so many families to homes we have rented in previous summers…it is disappointing that we will not be able to recommend this property.

Not clean, broken furniture, outside flower beds around the deck have not been taken care of for years. No information on wi-fi or anything else. Property needs a lot of work.

This house was not as expected and a disappointment. We had two families (10 people total) with plenty of space, which was nice. The house also had beautiful views. One of the downfalls, was with it being 90 degrees the whole time we were there and no air conditioning, it would have been nice to have more fans (a couple didn’t work) and make sure all the windows are in working condition, because we couldn’t get several to open and the house got pretty hot during the afternoon and hard to cool off in the evening . Also, I know the listing for the house said dogs were allowed and while we didn’t have any, there was plenty of dog poop in the backyard, which made it almost impossible for the kids to run around the backyard without stepping in it. The downstairs toilet had issues and didn’t flush well. We ran the dishwasher and even though we scrubbed our dishes pretty good before putting them in, it didn’t clean them at all, even after running it twice. The kitchen sink faucet was improperly installed and was a pain in the butt to turn on and off and turn cold to hot. I don’t know why they haven’t paid someone to properly install it, just that one thing alone made us feel like the owners don’t really care about the house too much. The washing machine was nasty and had mold all around the rubber door seal and when we did use it, the clothes came out dripping wet no matter how many EXTRA spin cycles we ran. We ended up having to go to the laundry mat. Even though the kitchen cabinets were filled with supplies, most of them were random things people don’t normally use on a day to day basis. We couldn’t even find a simple baking sheet. We felt like this house had so much potential and we were excited to stay there, but it ended up being horrible. We will definitely not plan on staying here again.

Beautiful house beautiful location. However there are multiple things in the house that need repair and would greatly improve the experience:no deadbolt on entry door. Windows that won't open, table leg broken, broken dining chair, Brok en kitchen faucet, broken cabinet door, broken chaise, and more.

Great house for a big group
We stayed in May of 2022 and the house was clean and as described. We were a group of 10 ladies and there was plenty of room for all of us, and the living room area had plenty of room for us all to curl up and watch a movie (a lot of houses don't have living rooms that can accommodate that many people comfortably). Would definately stay here again!!

Great place to stay
The location was lovely and the house was especially great for a big group and people who like to cook most of their meals. Definitely one of the better kitchens of the various rental homes I’ve stayed in. Vacasa was very prompt and hospitable meeting any our requests or needs. A great experience overall.
