La Bellota, a secluded log cabin by the woods, offers a true getaway. Our 6 acres provide entertainment and relaxation amenities, and Hocking Hills attractions are all only about 10 miles away or less. Unplug or stay completely connected via 90 mbps WiFi. We hope your stay at La Bellota provides relaxation, rejuvenation, and a whole bunch of memories to bring home with you.
La Bellota (pronounced bay-YO-tah) is Spanish for "acorn" and "grand beauty." We hope you enjoy all the beauty this place has to offer inside and out.
INSIDE:
The cabin has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The first floor bedroom features a queen and a twin. The loft bedroom features a king and two twins and is a separate room with a door. The first-floor bathroom features a shower and corner Jacuzzi tub, and the half bath sits between the main loft area and the loft bedroom.
A vaulted main room provides a cozy space to relax with a wood-burning stone fireplace and a little reading nook. Two skylights bathe the room in natural light during the day and give you the chance to see the stars at night.
A fully equipped kitchen offers your typical dishes and silverware (including kid-friendly options), stainless steel pots and pans, knife set, double oven with toasting capabilities, crockpot, electric skillet, electric griddle, hand mixer, blender, rice cooker, mixing bowls, ice cream scoop, pizza cutter, pizza stones, corkscrew/bottle opener, can opener, and more. We leave cabinet space open for guests to store their own food/supplies.
A dedicated hot beverage bar includes a 12-cup drip coffee maker and an electric kettle to make an assortment of provided hot beverage options, including ground coffee, tea bags, hot cocoa, and hot cider. We provide a coffee grinder for guests wanting to bring their own beans to grind.
The main loft area features a sauna (available to guests 16 and older), a massage chair, and a sitting area.
The garage game room aims to entertain kids young and old with an air hockey table, junior ping pong table, digital pin ball machine, and an assortment of board/card games. (Toys for toddlers also are included in the first-floor bedroom closet.)
A first-floor laundry room provides a washer and dryer for guest use. (Laundry detergent MAY be available, but we recommend bringing your own just in case.)
OUTSIDE:
A screened-in porch overlooks the front yard with a tree-lined creek at the property edge. Hang out in the hammock and two hammock swings, and eat or play games at the 6-person dining set.
A covered porch runs the length of the cabin with a new 8-person hot tub overlooking the woods and koi pond with a bridge. Take in the property's tranquility on the two rocking chairs.
A propane grill sits on a small concrete patio just off the covered porch.
A stone-lined fire pit provides the perfect place to roast marshmallows or just share time around a fire's mesmerizing flames. Relax on one of the three Adirondack chairs and four tree stump stools around the pit. (Firewood is not provided.)
Enjoy the wooded grounds with a short hike in the woods and/or to our property's creek.

Plenty of parking is available on our gravel driveway.
A guest key code for the main entry door will be provided prior to each guest's stay. This code will be active from the guests' check-in time at 4 p.m. until check-out time at 10 a.m. when the key code will become unusable.
Other things to note:
Cell service is very spotty at the cabin. We have excellent WiFi, so we recommend setting up your phone for WiFi calling if you would like to text/call out/receive calls during your stay. Given the rural setting, internet outages happen a little more frequently than in urban areas, and these outages are outside our control.

Had trouble finding it. Couldn't use hot tub it was nasty, was told it was just cleaned and I could pay to get it serviced. Stray dogs hung around. No kept trails to hike. Showers had no pressure

We had a nice visit to the area. Beds were a bit uncomfortable but overall, a good stay.

We truly enjoyed our visit. The cabin was perfect for our family. Extremely well kept with a game room that kept the kids occupied for hours. I also earned the title of family ping pong champ during our stay! LOL
Everything we wanted to do was 30 minutes or less away from the hiking trails to restaurants and the grocery store.
The only downfall (which is not anything to do with the owners) was the smell of the water. Unfortunately, it was extremely potent and I could not get my kids to take showers nor did we want too as the smell was strong which can happen with well water. Used the hot tub once for a few minutes but again due to the smell, got out quickly.
The owners are quick and responsive to any messages and a pleasure to deal with.

I debated about going to the Tennessee Hills but this saved us time and the experience was even better. The property was amazing outside, around the cabin and inside. Linda and Criss are amazing hosts and answered questions on the spot. Many activities to make memories with outside/ inside the garage, at the dining space and definitely the decks!! The Ecuadorian chairs were a highlight anytime of the day!!

If you’re venturing off into the Hocking Hills area and are in need of a place to stay, look no further. This cabin has everything you need including a massage chair, sauna, hot tub and family game room. Plus, the host is super pleasant and is very communicative. I wish I could give this more than five stars.

Our family enjoyed our stay at La Bellota. It was cozy and easy to feel at home. The property itself was beautiful and very tranquil. We enjoyed spending time on both porches and watching wildlife. The house pretty toddler safe aswell and i appreciated that very much traveling with my youngest who is 1 and a half. We did bring a baby gate from home to prop at the bottom of the steps. My big kids had fun in the game room and relaxing in the porch swings. We loved the hot tub too. We would absolutely stay at La Bellota Cabin again!

Our stay at La Bellota was the best at Hocking Hills ever. We have stayed at many places over the years there and this by far surpassed any other rental! We look forward to staying there again.

The hosts were incredibly communicative, and the whole process was very smooth from beginning to end. We had 3 ppl (2 adults and an 8 year old), and we had everything we needed provided. Very clean.
The game room was so wonderful for rainy days (I’m obsessed with pinball now).
The screened porch out back was such a cool place to experience nature (but not the bugs!) and listen to the stream.
We spent time hiking the property when it was too rainy to drive to the popular hot spots. Loved this place!!!

Our stay in general was nice. But there are things which we didn’t like. The approach road was not very pleasing with junked cars and vehicles and no proper paved road. We were there in the month of February and it had snowed and there was ice. The pathway to the door was iced up and that wasn’t nice. The main door going into the garage which is fine but the main door to the cabin had no lock which made us a little uneasy. They have a wood burning fire place and we had taken wood with us since we have one in our house but I don’t think the chimney has ever been swept(cleaned) because the smoke comes in when you start the fire even with the damper open. The kitchen and floors were clean and smelled like sanitizer but bathroom only the floor is clean. The toilets have yellow rings and the jacuzzi tub was filthy, don’t think it has been cleaned in a long time. Also the shower wasn’t clean and the lining shower curtain was so nasty, we couldn’t use the shower. The bathroom upstairs wasn’t as bad but can be much cleaner. The kitchen sink was nasty and we cleaned it out before using it. Lastly the water smelled and we think it’s because the water tank needs cleaning.
The hot tub was great although the cover for the hot tub on the inside has green fungus developing. The property is beautiful and if well maintained can be awesome. Attention to detail is key to having a great place.

We loved our stay in this cabin. The scenery was pretty - and the weather was just perfect. Linda was great at getting back to us quickly if we had any questions throughout our stay. We enjoyed the creek - catching crawdads, climbing the hill, enjoying the hot tub, relaxing in the sauna, the kids toys in the closet and movie nights together. We appreciated the game room and all of the fun things the owners had in there for visitors. We made lots of fun memories together. What a wonderful getaway. ❤️

Linda was a very attentive host. Many extra amenities. Coffee bar was fully stocked as was Kitchen. The home was very clean and check-in/check out process was very easy. Would stay again. The massage chair and sauna were a lifesaver. We stayed during the colder season and after a long day outdoors it was a real treat to warm up and relax.

This is the perfect place to bring your best gal pals and celebrate your upcoming nuptials in a relaxed, yet entertaining and beautiful place. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay and were able to cook great dinners, roast marshmallows, enjoy the hot tub, do some hiking, and explore the area. Our hosts were very communicative and everything was extremely nice. We had the best time and cant wait to go back!!!

My group of friends and I stayed here for a weekend and we loved every bit of it. The screened in porch was a wonderful spot to hangout and relax, or play games at the table. Comfortable beds. It felt very private which was great for enjoying the fire pit and hot tub. The garage makes for an enjoyable evening in itself with the air hockey and other games. We will definitely be back!

I will filing a complaint with you today in reference to my stay as I filed a police report as well. I was sent into a home where all the windows were unlocked & i was told this was not part of their check in/check out procedures who takes care of the property in between guests. I literally could have walked into anything/anyone in that home. That is a big safety concern. I ended up leaving a day early after filing a police report & did ask fir at least my last night ti be refunded & was told no by the owners. There is a question about cameras in the home as well which is another reason i called the police. Im getting all my documentation together & I am going to request a refund for this stay considering the owners could have cared less about my safety there.

Beautiful cabin, just as shown in pics, and helpful hosts. The hot tub was large and very nice. We saw a pileated woodpecker on the property and enjoyed the nearby hiking. Overall, a lovely retreat- with good Wifi!

This was an awesome place to stay. The house everything you would need, the screened in porch was awesome. Really enjoyed the garage with all the different games. The location was very peaceful, but still close to the parks. If anyone stays, they need to go to Laureville Pizza and The Spotted Ranch.

Cabin has tons of amenities! Unfortunately, we had an emergency and had to cut our trip short. We hope to come back sometime and enjoy the hot tub! We seen lots of deer on the property, my daughter loved that.

We had an amazing stay. Even with bad weather, we had a great time playing games, soaking in the hot tub and spending time together. We had a couple issues at arrival but the owners were very responsive and helped us quickly. Our family had an amazing time getting away for the weekend. I forgot this area has poor cell service so plan ahead! Print items you might need on your phone including reservation info, directions, etc. To make calls you may need to drive several miles down the road.

This was our second time visiting Hocking Hills and our first stay at this cabin. We loved this cabin. Quiet, comfortable, and clean. We enjoyed the little touches and gadgets. Our kids enjoyed relaxing in their room and we all found the hot tub to be the best way to start and end our long days hiking. Linda was fast to respond with anything we had questions about.

This place was absolutely beautiful! Stayed here for a short weekend getaway for valentines day. Had everything you would need in the kitchen. Will definetly visit again! Can't wait to see what it looks like in the summertime! Oh and we saw deer from the moment we pulled up. So cute!

The property was a perfect place for our Hocking Hills getaway. It was great to sit in the hot tub and in the sauna after a long day hiking in the State Park. Great location for access to all the park's attractions. And the house was great with fantastic amenities.

The cabin was beautiful. It has everything you could want from games, to a hot tub that’s private, to a sauna The beds are comfortable and everything is very clean. This cabin provides a coffee bar and many pots and pans and utensils for cooking. I would recommend you bring groceries with you due to being about 30 min from town. Overall the stay was perfect for a get away!!

Everything was exactly as described. The cabin was very clean, the kitchen was well organized and the location of everything was clearly labeled. The owner was very responsive to any questions that we had. If you’re looking for a weekend getaway in the Hocking Hills this is the place. It’s close to the state parks where you can do some great hiking. Afterwards you can enjoy the sauna or take a dip in the jacuzzi. Be sure to wander into Laurelville and try the pizza at Larelville Pizza it was delish.

This was our first Thanksgiving without my ex husband ( who still spent holidays with our kids and me.).
We decided to start a new tradition & this was the perfect place to do it. The cabin had Eve you would want to relax, hot tub , sauna, massage chair, jacquizzi tub. It was peaceful and relaxing. Some notice from the neighbors driving uo into the woods to hunt was a bit unnerving at ti es. The game room was a great addition! Location could have been better with the quality of neighbors but the cabin itself was perfect ! Would definitely recommend and plan on staying again
