Rooftop the best
The stay place... Social and all very friendly

Great host.
Very nice bike tour to watch the sunset next to the floating mosque.
Water refill.
Big lockers.
The bed sheets were clean, but the gap around the bed was dirty with people's hair.
The wifi signal in the beds area is really bad, unusable.
The bathrooms really need to be renewed.
Bath towels only for renting.
No breakfast.
No AC during the day.

The rooftop garden was fantastic.

Clean toilet and clean bed. Hostel always smells nice.
Best hostel I've stayed in Malaysia
4.2
Great rooftop and great to meet other travellers
Not the cleanest toilets
4.2
nice social vibe some nights (not guaranteed), very friendly and helpful staff, nice owner, bike rental and the tour are cool. a rooftop to get out the sun and enjoy the wind, of there is some. close to night market
very old mattresses where you can feel the springs. places to hang out could be more
comfortable. basic bathrooms. extremely cold dorm due to strong AC without sufficient blanket. a little bit on the far side of the sights
4.2
Great location
The bed was surrounded by hair
4.2

lovley owner and Great stuff
Close to the City
wifi is not really working at all. in you Need a Good Connection buy yourself a simcard
everthing - beside the A/C - is very old
could use some cleaning and getting rid of old stuf
4.2
Great hostel with a large common area to meet fellow travelers. There are some activities arranged for by the staff which is really nice. The location is pretty good, like a 15 minute walk from the city center.
I had a private room and the mattress was like 20 years old.
4.2
Really fun sociable environment with a great roof terrace, nice to head up there at night. The owners seem really nice too.
The robot-hoover thing which gets sent around the dorms in the morning (9:30am) when people are still sleeping is incredibly annoying and it’s very noisy. Can this not be done later in the day? The beds are very uncomfortable too, some of the worst I’ve come across :(
4.2
The vibe in the hostel is really good and the location is perfect!
The cleanliness can be a little better. The Wi-Fi was to slow.
4.2
- Staff were great and very accommodating
- Great atmosphere
- Value for money
- Good location
- Facilities need updating
- Quite a lot of junk around the place
4.2
The hostel is very social . The owners really make an effort to get everybody together.
I was not very clean. Shower and toilet are in same space. Although there is aircon in the room you don’t really feel it because the pods you sleep in insulate.
4.2
Staff, location, set up, amazing common area,
The pillow was too big and also the curtain should be dark colored
4.2
Wonderful owner, so helpful and he creates a fun, social and welcoming vibe to the hostel. We really enjoyed the bike tour, great way to see Melaka and meet your fellow traveler’s. It’s good value for $ and a good location right next to the night market. plus cool rooftop space
Bit hot in the dorm - the aircon was nice but it was still a bit hot on the top bunks. bottom ones probably fine as heat rises, a fan in the dorm at night would be nice to create a breeze
4.2
The hostel beds give a lot of privacy. There is a lot of space to meet people and the price is right. The location is okay and the staff really friendly
Everything is a bit old.

Excellent host with wonderful hospitality. He's the kind of person that can make friends with everyone. The atmosphere here is very friendly.
Great comfortable bed. Stylish lockers. Many public areas in this hostel building including a rooftop. Another quiet lobby they call "library" room is available. Finding a place to do your work shall be not difficult.
There's a bottle for storing hot water so usually you don't need to wait for the water to boil. Free hot coffee is done and ready in another hot water bottle and available. Hairdryer is available upon request.
Also great location with a short walking distance to the Jonker street.
The main lobby just besides the dorm room is usually full of families whom you cannot distinguish whether they are guests or just friends of the host. With so many children playing and so many adults talking, you can imagine how much noise they produce.
It's a bit stuffy inside your bed unless both the air-conditioners and the fan are turned on. It's not clear about the operation hours of the air-conditioners. Better to have a notice on that.

They offer a bike tour in the evenings to the floating mosque (5RM) which was fun.
Probably the worst hostel I stayed in in Malaysia. There were hairs on my sheets and the blanket is very scratchy. Mattress very thin. Overall it seemed like it needed some good cleaning. The books in the library were dusty and mouldy like no one had touched them in ages. I have no idea why it has so many good reviews. I booked two nights and left to go to another hostel in Melaka.
4.2
I liked the locker size, they were pretty big, the rooftop was also a really nice place to hang out. The sunset bike ride to the mosque was a nice addition for only 5RM.
The bathrooms are practically falling apart and there’s not really anything
where to put any toiletries apart from on the toilet which isn’t very hygienic. The sheets on the bed weren’t that clean, I found loads of hairs and dirt on them before I got in and they are also really scratchy. The mattress isn’t comfortable at all.
4.2
2 minute walk from jonker street, all the staff and especially the owner were so kind and helpful, and they sell reasonably priced beer. cute cats were out and walking around all day.
I stayed in the dorms and It seemed like I had an older mattress compared to others, so after a few nights I got a little sore. The pillow was less than ideal but I never bothered to ask for another. They turn the AC off in the dorms during the day, from 9-4, so sleeping in or laying around is uncomfortable. The rooftop is the only place that isn’t suffocating.
4.2
Staff was very friendly. Like how the dorm is organized, gives us a bit more privacy.
Wish there was a fridge available for use
4.2
One of the best hostels we’ve stayed in. It is clean and comfortable, the staff and owner are super nice, great location and there is an amazing rooftop and relaxing area.

Excellent stay! I knew I'll love it when the moment I walked in: the vibes, the people. It's just so happening there. Howard is a great host, very friendly person! Would definitely recommend this place especially you're traveling alone :)
4.2
A really good place, the host is very nice, I recommend without hesitation.
