Excellent, central location in the heart of historic Shrewsbury. Hotel itself is full of character. We didn't eat or drink there but the restaurant and bar looked very nice.

A warm welcome at Drapers Hall.
4.7
The location was excellent but a caution warning could be given to remind guests when exiting the building straight onto the road.
The room is advertised as deluxe and five stars. Couldn’t fall the decor but the bed frame was large and protruded beyond the mattress and was far too big for the room. The mattress was like a sponge with a mattress topper which was shorter than the bed. Bathroom was exceedingly small with little room to move and had a mirror on the wall at the end of the shower! Limited sockets and no mirror with socket to dry hair. Minuscule area for hanging clothes and lastly no biscuits which is unusual for a hotel.

Sadly not offered
Would have liked to know the please was shutting down for the bank holiday but not the end of the world

Nice old property from the 16th century with loads of old features, but very comfortable room.
4.7
Restaurant food was good and great atmosphere. The hotel is beautifully decorated with lots of charm, warmth and character.
Bar and Restaurant are closed on Monday-Wednesday. So breakfast was only had on one morning of our 3 night stay which was not stated in the booking. A smart TV of a decent size could have been included in the deluxe suite. Other than these two points we were happy with the hotel.

Historical building, superb location, luxurious fabrics, beautiful bedroom, great breakfast and lovely hosts.
Nothing.

We couldn’t fault anything about the property

The location was perfect situated right in the town centre. The food was excellent. The place was beautiful. The staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating. It was super experience from the start to the finish. We would definitely visit again.

Did not have breakfast. Great central location. Room very comfortable. Excellent Sunday lunchtime meal. Friendly and helpful staff.
All great so no complaints!

The location right in the centre of Shrewsbury is great. The building it beautiful and has a lot of character. The breakfast was fantastic.

Beautiful Tudor building with luxurious bedroom, located in a quiet but central part of the town. The bed was so comfortable! Professional and friendly staff. Lovely breakfast in the historic restaurant dining room. We parked the car in Wyle Cop NCP car park, a very pleasant short walk away. We were really pleased we chose this place to stay whilst visiting Shrewsbury.
Nothing, it was lovely.
4.7
Right bang in the centre. Hosts very nice and could not have been more helpful and available.
Room in keeping with the age of property but in our view slightly too dark. Mirror in bathroom when lit makes it difficult to see your image.
4.7
The building was superb as were the lovely couple who own and run the hotel.
They stayed up as we were late arriving and gave us plates for the chips we had bought( due to nothing else being open)
The bed was so lovely it was hard to get up.
If anything then possibly the coffee could be improved.

Breakfast not an option as room only. Room was small but functional. I liked the independent access to the rooms and the private courtyard was a bonus.
There could have been more information provided in advance such as parking options, local restaurant information, Wi-Fi code and payment details etc. Great location but lack of information made the stay feel a bit “learner” which reduced confidence. Apparently parking was an option but I did not have this info so parking cost an extra £22 on room costs. Lack of Wi-Fi code or info as to how to return room key etc made it feel slightly disorganised. I was also informed on arrival I should have bought booking card as a hard copy rather than use phone banking (which is my usual method), all sorted in the end though.

Breakfast and Location excellent
Air conditioning-basic fan that was noisy and no refrigerator on a very hot weekend

Both enjoyed our breakfasts very much..Also our Evening meal was delicious.
Two small points:-
1. Toilet seat was a bit loose and moved about.
2. A box of tissues would have been useful.

We had a splendid 2 days stay. The property was exactly as we expected and wanted.
The Hall has a lovely feel to it and is very comfortable and beautiful.
The bed was very, very comfortable.
The food, drinks and service was excellent.
We were allowed a a very late checkout since our flights were at 21:00 on checkout. This is a very non-standard luxury afforded to us by a wonderful host and gratefully appreciated.
I highly recommend this hotel to all.
With best regards,
Tony

Accommodation is of a high standard, staff are helpful and friendly.
4.7
The facilities great. Staff great.
The breakfast hours too short to be able to use the service. Without being able to have the as included breakfast the price was too high for stay.
It's always incredibly disappointing when book in advance from overseas and find the price for stay on arrival offered substantially cheaper.

We had a wonderful stay here at Drapers Hall. The bedrooms were beautiful and the most comfortable bed I had ever slept in. The building is full of history and a great position for exploring the town centre. The food at the restaurant was delicious and not overpriced for the quality.
