+ Check in is at 5pm and check out time is by 10am. We do our best to accommodate early check in and/or late check out requests. We offer these based upon our housekeeping team's approval as their schedule can be demanding and for an additional fee of $25 per request. Please note, the earliest check in time available is 2pm and the latest checkout time we can accommodate is noon.
The Neighborhood:
+ You're in walking distance to the Dinosaur Resource Center, Memorial Park, our local brewery Bierwerks which features food trucks, and downtown Woodland Park. We love Cafe Leo for a cup of coffee and a breakfast bagel sandwich, or AJ's pizza for takeout and dining at home over a movie or on the deck.
+ Enjoy true Colorado living and all the conveniences of home with views of an abundance of Ponderosa Pine forests the craggy North Slope of Pike's Peak, all from a quiet street within five minutes of a Natural Grocers and Walmart. You'll be close to hiking (trailheads within 5-10 minutes by car), fly-fishing (gold medal waters within 30 minutes at Deckers or 11-Mile Canyon or just a bit further to the world-famous "dream stream"), a breathtaking local golf course (not only because of Shining Mountain Gold Course's views but also the altitude of 8,500 ft!) and much more. Please let us know your areas of interest, and we'll be happy to share some local secrets with you.
+ Sometimes people ask about the lack of air conditioning. Very few Colorado homes at our altitude of 8,500 have air conditioning. If it gets a little hot in the peak parts of summer, the use of fans and/or a cross breeze from two open windows is usually enough to cool things off, and temperatures normally drop dramatically at night so most locals sleep with windows open. Most of our guests don't wish for air conditioning, and some decide to move to Colorado for this reason. :)
Getting Around:
+ Woodland Park is quite walkable, but public transportation is limited. Most guests drive here or rent a car so they can explore the area further.
Other Things to Note:
+ Sleep in peace on super soft linens which were laundered in a professional facility to ensure the highest possible amount of viruses and bacteria are utterly destroyed.
+ The neighbor's dog Taz tends to bark a loud welcome. After you settle in Taz will too.
+ This is bear country. Please do not leave any food outdoors or in your car.
+ The patio string lights are plugged in through an extension cord found in the left hall closet.
+ We reserve the right to collect ID directly from our guests before allowing access to the property. This is in addition to identification you may be asked to provide to the booking platform.
+ Our team sets out linens appropriate to the number of people on your reservation so please make sure your reservation accurately reflects the number in your party. Be aware that we charge a $30/night fee for additional guests after 4.
+ The city of Woodland Park is currently working on road construction and our street is in relatively rough shape for the time being. Please note that you will be able to access the cabin even when the road signs say "closed". We apologize for the temporary eye sore and inconvenience!
+ Cabin is Showing Some Age: we think it's still beautiful and love staying there but please be aware that the deck has some weathered wear and tear and the stairway carpet has some traffic marks that don't come up from our professional cleaning. We take these things into account when pricing our lovely home and stilll think you'll love your stay.
Interaction with Guests:
We love helping guests make the most of their time in our beautiful area and live very close by. However, we give our guests space unless they ask for help or want to say ‘hi’ in person. Our team will be available throughout your stay and is always happy to provide advice on local restaurants, attractions, and adventures.

Would stay here again and highly recommend.

Great spot and conveniently located to restaurants, parks, and other activities. House was perfect for a Family of 5 With great views of the mountains!

My family had the best time at this house. It was very relaxing. I could sleep in the master bed for days. The view of Pikes Peak was spectacular. The hot tub kept us nice and warm in the chilly night air. We will definitely try to stay here again when we visit Colorado.

Our family really enjoyed staying at the cabin. It had great views of the mountains. The place is exactly as it shows in the the pictures. The beds and pillows were very comfortable for a good nights rest. We saw several deer out the window. They even provided a sample gourmet coffee. We liked it so much that we went to the local coffee shop to buy some for home. We would definitely stay again.

Tons of space, fully stocked kitchen, great neighborhood. Within walking distance to a park and several small-businesses. Exceptionally clean. View of Peak Peak from the kitchen table.

House was nice. Deck could use some updating, boards are rotting in several places. Outdoor trash was overflowing when we arrived. There was trash in recycling bin, animals knocked it over & left a mess I had to pick it up. Huge tree branch down at bottom of stairs to trash. For the price we paid, all of this should have been taken care of in advance.

Having never stayed in the area before we weren't quit sure what to expect. However, I can say this house is about the same as others we have stayed in. Just average

Great spot for nearby Colorado Springs and foothills adventuring. Easy to walk to small mountain-town spots like coffee, brewery, park, etc. Easy to drive to regular tourist sites like Pike's Peak and any hike you could want to access. Woodland Park is a gorgeous spot in the foothills, the home is in a cute little neighborhood, the porch was our favorite spot to hang out. We got local pizza one night (which included a gluten free option for those of us who needed it!!) and spent hours out there enjoying the various seating, hot tub, string lights, and mountain air (and wine!). We will be back for sure!

Remove pine tree by drive to give better veiw. Make sure trash bins are empty. We had to keep trash bags in the house. We did have a wonderful time. Thank you.

We loved the cottage. There were deer and squirrels all around. The location was perfect, just a few blocks off the main highway, but in a nice neighborhood and quiet. Woodland Park is such a quaint village with lots of great restaurants and shops. We were in for a convention in Colorado Springs, which was a quick half hour drive down the mountain. We would definitely recommend this property!!

The house was perfect for the three of us. Great location and very comfortable. Nice views of the mountains.

The house was very clean. The front deck was great to sit on. Deer walking right by the house. This is a must if your coming to the area. Restaurants are very close.

Nice little A Frame house with amazing views and surprisingly a lot of room.

A great home to stay in; close to the main road, yet had the complete feel of privacy and seclusion due to the design of the home.
