Good value

Nice place to stay,but it is a studio apartmant,has a good size bouble 🛌 2 small armchars, and what can be opened. It is a single room ,a barhroom with a swower,and a back yeard,where you can smoke or take a coffee. Owner verry helpful,he allowed us to do chek out later for free.

I was thinking been written apartment that will be a living -kitchen and a bedrom.

Adequate but not Delux

Location was good for reaching the town centre - 15 minute walk. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had a reasonable supply of cutlery and crockery.

The heating was a bit haphazard as at times, even though the room was cool, the radiator remained cold despite us increasing the radiator thermostat as advised by the host. Admittedly our visit was during a very cold spell, the apartment has 3 of its walls to the outside and a has a flat roof so it’s difficult to insulate fully but all the same the heating should have been on at all times in an effort to make the inside warmer. Although the duvet was adequate a thicker one is needed during the winter months and provision of a thick blanket would be much appreciated instead of having to put outdoor coats on top to make the bed warmer. The cleanliness of the apartment could have been much improved as there was an abundance of lime scale deposits on all taps, shower screen and kettle. The kettle was particularly bad as, even with the spout filter in place, pieces of scale were always evident in cups of tea and coffee. On the hob the area round and under the knobs had grease and dirt which could easily be cleaned by pulling off the knobs instead of just wiping round them. Most horizontal surfaces in the windows were dusty and window frames were in need of a good clean. With regards the TV there was no provision to watch live TV other than through streaming services such as BBC iplayer, ITVX, etc. I realise that this is the way for many people but we do prefer to be able to see a TV guide and change channels easily instead of having to load up the different streaming services each time. I would say the apartment is adequate for a one night stop before going to the airport but it is far from the “Delux Apartment” that was described on my booking confirmation!!

Very good base for an overnight stay!

This was a lovely little annexe attached to someone’s private house. Although we didn’t meet the owners, a lady telephoned me shortly after we had arrived to introduce herself and check that everything was to our satisfaction. We were attending a festival in Audley End, Saffron Walden so Bishops Stortford was a good place to base ourselves and travel to and from due to the train links to Audley End Station. This little studio was perfect for what we needed for an overnight stay.

Gęste place to stay if you travel to or from Stansted airport

Great and clean apartment with modern style. Kitchen has full equipment needed including oven. Relatively close to town centre. Owner even allowed to leave our luggage longer at property after checkout to let us visit town.

Nice and cozy place in a walking distance from shops and railway station 👍 The host was extremely helpful and offered us a shuttle from the airport with a very reasonable price. If you are looking for a place to stay overnight before/after you flight to/from Stansted airport, I fully recommend 👍

Great value for money within an easy reach from Stansted airport

Excellent value for money stay if you have an early morning flight from Stansted airport. 10 minute walk to the town centre and the train/buses to the airport. They offer transfers (great if you have luggage or don`t feel like walking), but there are also all sorts of public transport options from Bishops Strotford to the airport almost round the clock. Bus from the town to the airport costs 2 pounds.

Lovely apartment in a great location. Ideal to commute to Stansted Airport from. Andrew, our host, was absolutely fantastic in making sure the apartment was very conformable and also picked us up from Stansted for a much cheaper price than a taxi. Would definitely stay here again and recommend other people to book here as well.

Exactly what we needed

15’ from Stansted airport, free arrival time thanks to the lock box, host very helpful and willing to help and facilitate things, parking space at the door. Not time to use but TV had Netflix and Prime.

Added beds may be too small and uncomfortable for adult people, they are ok for kids.

Exclusive place, very clean and comfortable

Unfortunately my flights was at 6am and the road to walk to the bus is pitch black! I did not feel save walking on my own in the dark and it was hard to find a taxi at 4 in the morning... The host is also a taxi driver but the rides can be very expensive regardless of whether you book it with the host or with someone else...

The host Andrew was absolutely super friendly! He met us at the airport and dropped us off the next day. Also, he took our luggage, so we could go straight to London and save our time. The apartment was a bit small for 4 people, but for two, absolutely fine. As we stayed only one night, we were very pleased and the smart solutions of the lights impressed us.

Was what we needed. A little stay over as had a party local. Clean, had everything needed. Lovely comfy bed.

Can hear everything from the house. Dog barking, also the washing machine in the communial area. Normal tv as opposed to just satelite. Could have been warmer too.

Comfy, cozy apartment near airport

Lovely little apartment. Andrew, the host thought of everything. We had a very comfortable nights sleep before heading to the airport the next morning. Andrew offers a shuttle service which would be nice if you have lots of luggage. Otherwise, you can take the 309 bus from the airport and catch the bus from Holy Trinity church to go back. It's about a 10 minute walk.
