Location for us was perfect as we were crossing from Dover the following morning. We left too early for breakfast but they were happy to provide us with rolls, jam, fruit and fruit juice.
Nothing we didnt like

A very nice country inn with new, beautiful, large rooms in a former barn. Great bathroom. Very good food. Very cozy restaurant. Located next to the street but no street noise in the room.

Eigener Parkplatz. Gutes Frühstück und gutes Essen im Pub.
Im Badezimmer wären ein paar Haken (z. B. für Handtücher) hilfreich.

Rooms and bathrooms immaculate
Great underfloor heating

Beautiful accommodation, well decorated throughout to a very high standard. Beautiful pub garden with stunning views. Food was exceptional. Lovely touch being able to have breakfast tray in our room.
Only thing was portion sizes too big to allow for three courses! Was gutted to not have room for a pudding!
A mini fridge in room would be useful for milk given for breakfast in our room next morning.

Rooms were lovely modern and clean well equipped had a great nights sleep with the under floor heating and good wifi signal.
Breakfast could be a bit earlier for people on a business trip, they do cater for this to be honest with a continental breakfast but it’s nice to have something warm in the morning.

So clean and stylish. Everything works excellently - heating / shower / TV etc. Great food, lovely hosts

Clean modern accommodation separate from the main pub. Restaurant food was superb, best we’ve tasted for a long time.
Single matteress could have been better quality…more suited to a child.
9 am breakfast too late for our needs. Would have loved to try it. The substitute breakfast tray was appreciated but wouldn’t have been our first choice.

I have been traveling for three months, and this was one of the nicest stays. The food and company in the restaurant was wonderful!

Cosy rooms, with comfy beds and fabulous en-suites. Fantastic food, very friendly staff, great value for money!

Beautiful room, lovely pub, exceptional food and friendly staff! Lots of thoughtful little touches made our stay extra special.

Beautiful area, rural and pretty. Pub on premises with excellent food. Staff was friendly and relaxed, making the property very comfortable in terms of general am Bianca. A little Gem.
I would have like a sitting chair or two in the room.

Perfect little gem

The accommodation was one of several stand-alone cabins, next to the pub. We ate at the pub and had a fine meal and breakfast. From what I gather, there are no other places to eat at or get food in the town, so if you're hiking (as we were) the pub is the only game in town, so we were lucky the restaurant was so good.
Can't think of anything.

location was great and all the staff were fantastic
there was nothing not to like ,it was excellent

Beautiful old pub with lovely views of hills and fields opposite. The B&B accommodation is separate to the pub itself and quite new, which we liked as it meant it was quiet.
The staff were really helpful, and the meals (both dinner and breakfast) were top notch. The Lydden Bell is clearly a popular pub both for locals and for dining, with a warm and welcoming ambience.
The servicing of our room was a bit erratic for the first few days, but it transpired that their usual staff member was away which explained matters. Breakfast is served from 9a.m. which was a little later than we would have liked - although a breakfast tray is available in your room, if you need / want to eat earlier. We didn't use that option, so can't review it.

It was all good.

Loved the location of this pretty little pub. The food was excellent with lots of choice, rather than your boring stock frozen pub food. Definitely worth a visit to this little gem.

Located close to Dover so handy for an overnight stay before heading home.
The only negative was that the mattress was too soft but that might just be a personal preference.

Very friendly welcome, easiest check in. Room was in a side building, big enough and equipped with everything you needed. Though on a country road, very quiet at night. Food in the restaurant was great, breakfast as well. The Lydden Bell comes very very handy, when you arrive late from the Dover ferry.

Great ambiente
very nice looking room
clean
nice people
great breakfast
if having a shower you could easy float the complete bathroom, because wall in shower is not long enought.
toilet is not comfortable, because of the shape
shape of washbasin let the water splash out easy
no normal chair in the room (important for older people)
the designer of the facilities has not thought whether it is practical
4.5
Perfect location for port of diver
A security light on all night outside our window

Coming up a narrow street late at night, we were very positively surprised from our modern, cosy and beautiful hut number 3. Breakfast was delicious and staff very friendly and helpful. We were very sorry that our stay was so short and we couldn't enjoy the beautiful pub except for breakfast.

Lydden is a beautifully located village close to Dover. The food was excellent. We had dinner and breakfast and both are highly recommendable. A must stay
