The food was excellent, with lots of variety and food for many tastes. The grounds and pools were beautiful. The common buildings like the lobby, pool bar etc. were grand and well done.
The pools could have been tested and treated more often. Refilling of towels, water etc in the rooms was hit and miss every day. Kids between 9-12 should be able to play in the teen room, there wasn't enough available for them to do.

The company with me.
Beds. Uncomfortable. Room 1913 first bathroom. Leaks all over floor. Shower in 2nd bathroom takes 10 mins to heat up. Food is mediocre. Beer servings small. Some trash around resort. Definitely not "secrets" level. Room smelled of mildew.

Service was outstanding and the facilities are very good. Perhaps would be good to upgrade the gym
The gym

The nature and how organic it felt as well as closeness to a lot of nature activities
Not enough trolly carts available for transport. I had to walk most of the time to get to different locations and our room was fairly far. The food at the buffet was also not that enjoyable. Cobá had better food

Kids club was the best part of the stay. The staff was amazing here.
Disappointed about the room. No privacy for washrooms. Air conditioned areas minimal and poor. Very poorly setup for informational purposes. The app is crap to setup activities.

The rooms are super nice, much bigger than shown on the booking.com photos
The queues are way to long, they need more staff in the bar. You often have to wait a long time for your food.
The keep dolphins captured and let tourist swim with them in a pool witch is animal cruelty.

This was our second stay. We had such a great vacation last year that we came back. Entertainment, kids club, and ala carte restaurants were fabulous.
This year our AC did not work for 9 days. We did complain but the thermostat read 66 F but it was more like 80 F maintenance came twice and said that was the way Mexican AC worked. But we felt other rooms that obviously had AC and we stayed last year so we knew we were being bamboozled. The front desk staff did not seem to care and said that we were not use to the Eco AC and we may not be shutting out doors all the way. We were constantly hot and no one slept very well.

Beautiful grounds (well landscaped)
Great pools
Many bars
Don Pablo Gourmet Restaurant was excellent
Some nice staff
Nice looking room
Enjoyed the shuttle service around the resort
Some rude staff and other staff who didn't care (had to wait 15 minutes to get coffee one morning and another time had to go find a high chair as I had asked 2 staff members who said yes but then dissapeared).
Bad plumbing, the toilet would leak everytime we flushed
Mikado Japanese Restaurant wasn't very good, we got spaghetti noodles in the Pad Thai.
Buffet had good selection but quality was only so-so.
Bad time of year to go with all the seaweed which kept the beach closed. They tried their best to clear it but it still wasn't enough to be able to swim comfortably.
Ice cream at snack bar was out of service (missing handles, no more cones) at least 3x we were there!
There were also no cutlery at the snack bar, not sure how to eat our mac n cheese.
Shower gel/shampoo was not refilled even though we ran out of shampoo on Day 2.

spacious, well laid-out, lots of green spaces, enthusiastic events team, lovely pools, great food and entertainment, comfortable room
the beach had seaweed but they were doing their best to clean it up everyday and it was still nice to sit by the ocean

It's a nice resort, clean, good food and restaurants, entertainment, you have access to some of their other sections/resorts, so a lot to do.
The beach was having sea plants (not sure the name) and was not useable close to our section, had to go to another section to use the beach.

I enjoyed the shopping area near the resort. The resort was very clean.
The food and beverage quality was very poor. Customer service within the reception area was extremely poor and impossible to reach anyone in the reservations office. The lack of resort security allowed a non guest into the pool area who was groping women and children myself and family member included.

Great property and pools for children! The room we got was large and spacious, it was in building 21, garden unit, very convenient for kids pool access. But, the beach was horrible, we got a big wave of seaweeds and couldn't enjoy the beach at all. Luckily the resort gave us access to another beach nearby and we enjoyed the sea also, but it was a bit of a walk. Amazing facility, very clean, and the food was super tasty!!! (the resort could work on the kids menu a bit more, it was all the same everywhere). Riding the golf carts was fun also and we traveled with 3 little kids, they all liked it!
the beach, seaweeds

Cozy and green hotel area with lots of birds and funny animals. The service was excellent and friendly. The evening program was of high quality and the a la carte restaurants had excellent food. The buffet food was also good and the tables were overflowing with different dishes. The renovated Premium Superior room was wonderful. It was spacious and functional and had two bathrooms/toilets.
The hotel was close to Akumal's turtle beach, where we went snorkeling. Historical sites and cenotes are also easily accessible from this hotel.
In terms of swimming, the beach was bad and rocky. Sargassum seaweed was on the beaches, which the staff actively collected. The buffet canteen was huge and somewhat noisy.

excellent food. Staff literally told me when I had a very minor complaint...we just want to make sure you're super happy. What a great job they do!
Quality of alcohol very poor. The well vodka was gross

The buffet breakfast was great for adults and children as well. At least 30+ options. Exceptional.
There is not much to dislike.

The Tulum property was very large and spread out so we never felt clustered. The property grounds were very well kept and the rooms were nice and clean. The multiple pool areas were great and pools and pool areas were nice and clean. We liked being right on the beach.
The one thing we didn’t like was the quality of the food. It was our first all inclusive stay, and found the food to be just OK. We understand that there is a very large quantity that they have to produce each day, so that may be why the quality was just OK. Same with the alcoholic beverages. One bar had better quality beverages than others but that was it.

spacious and clean
booking screwed us royally. we booked a total of 3 rooms all together through me and my wife. all of which had 2 guests in each room, once we got to the resort the first 2 rooms were checked in no problem. note that on all 3 rooms it stated on booking it said only 1 guest but we had all paid for the price of 2 guests. once we went to get the third room checked in the hotel said it was only under 1 guest which I showed them they all said the same it was all the same price. we paid for 6 people and they fought us for hours just letting us sit there. we had no where to go. it was a nightmare, after yelling for hours and not booking nor the hotel taking fault in wheatever went wrong we still had to pay and extra 600. After a long day of travel, Emmy wife’s grandmother who was supposed to be accompanying us had fallen in the airport trying to reach our resort, she wasn’t able to make it out to us. once we finally got settled in, the next day my wife and sister in law were groped at the resorts pool by someone clearly high as a kite and wasn’t supposed to be on resort property which a child was also grabbed and pulled toward this man as well. we were given an extra ala cart dinner for our mishap, a dinner. this entire trip turned into a nightmare, would we come back? absolutely not. will we use booking again? HELL no. booking screwed us royally and refuses to do anything about it same as the resort.

big property but shuttles are provided throughout the resort and transport to other resorts to use their facilities /restaurants.
The buffet foods were good but the lines in the morning for breakfast omelets etc was long unless you get there super early.

Everything was extremely wonderful!

The resort is absolutely wonderful. Buffet was good. Pool variety was great. The "fast food" type concessions near the pools had decent food but were very welcome convenience. The couple waterparks and playground for littles were amazing. Staff were very attentive and helpful.
Buffet coffee was always weak. Room has no way to block out natural light for late risers/early sleepers/midday nappers. The WiFi's low bandwidth was serviceable but the network would often cut out/restart which would be frustrating.

How it fits into the nature and surrounding, wonderful staff, beautiful view on ocean or their gardens. Activities with entertainment team and shows in the evening.
We liked everything.
3.0 / 5.0
The food was pretty bad. We survived on the guacamole and French fries. We had figured we’d take a cab into Tulum for better food a few nights, but all of our taxi options quoted us at almost $300 round trip to a town 20 minutes away!
2.5 / 5.0
pools and facilities and that there was a doctor on site so could heal
you from food poisoning
yoga and pilates instructor was really professional and friendly
nice location on the beach to perform yoga every morning
food of very bas qualify and drinks based on fake juices and not even a shadow of real fruits (including breakfast drinks)
a la cate restaurant to book far in advance and only available
for dinner. false advertisement in the hotel description when it says 9 restaurants available. at lunch u pnly have 1 buffet and a couple of fast food dirty and disgusting places.
if allergic to something there is no way to know for sure there is not such an ingredient into the buffet food
there is no bottles water available expect the 1 bottle of purified water with a pool taste that you receive into your mini fridge
room entrance floor was constantly dirty after we came back from the beach , clearly the person that refill the bar (1 pool tasting water and 1 mini coke and 1 mini fanta)had dirty shoes
