Great location, and overall a lovely hotel. Service could be better

We got premium room with a balcony overlooking the marina, was great!! Pool was really nice!! Does get full pretty quickly so got to be there 10ish to secure spot! Also because cocktail are getting made sometime the line was a little long. Rooms very clean, paid $500aud per night, think it was fair value for money, 10min walk into more city centre, has a mini mart right outside so very handy if you need to pop down and get anything, stayed 5 nights and was great to set up there and unpack luggage and enjoy Palma

I was very worried after booking this hotel due to the negative reviews but overall, I had a good time at this hotel. By the time we arrived in middle of August the road work that was blocking cars from entering the hotel driveway had concluded. The lobby is nice and didn't encounter any issues with staff or at reception. They were very nice and helpful. The pool area was nice. Didn’t experience any issues getting a chair.
The breakfast was good & didn’t find the food going bad like some reviews mentioned. I did find it a little expensive for $25 per day.
However, the hotel rooms do require heavy upgrading. The room I was given, did see better days, definitely not a 4 stars. My room had water leakage from the AC and you can clearly see the walls coming apart from the water, the door to the main room didn’t even close due to the molding losing its shape due to the water issue. The carpet in the hallway have seen better days. The walls are dirty. Since I was in a high floor, I didn’t experience any issues with noise that some people complained.
Outside the hotel, well it’s not ideal. Some of the restaurants and bars nearby are not the best. Yes there is a strip club right next to the hotel that opens after 12 midnight, so you don’t see the questionable people unless you are around very late in the lobby.
Parking, I didn’t experience any issues finding parking outside. I actually saved money not doing the hotel parking fee by just parking on the streets.

A lot of noise from the corridor because the doors into the room can’t be locked without noise. The people who clean star 7:30 and also made noise.
This hotel was good in 2019, but now it is a falling star. Small pool, very expensive l.
No more Melia, no value for money

Property is very tired. Lounge level is ok tho They misplaced my medication ice packs and failed to give me my cold picnic as promised for my ferry trip to Ibiza when I checked out at 6:00 am.

Road Works out front of Hotel. Cannot get to front of hotel. Could not unload suitcases. Hotel has No Porters , no Concierge . It is NOT 4 Star hotel.
The front entrance looks good but the bedrooms are 2 star, cheap furniture sadly cheap stuff.
Parking Garage is a disaster to find in the backstreets under another building. Badly lit and no signage. You have find the lowest level and walk up- lifts are not operating then go through passageways to the hotel.

3.0 / 10.0
The hotel is quite mediocre.
The male receptions that checked us in was very disappointing, after traveling all day the least we expected was somebody not to shout or talking over their quests.
The staff in the pool bar so lazy just standing talking to each other.
Leakage in the bathroom. Sometimes no water to
Flush in the toilet.
The breakfast was ok, but it felt we were sitting in a school lunch hall and no outside seating.
Staff needs training obviously.
Location good.

Being that we booked this hotel for our wedding weekend, it was extremely disappointing that we booked a premium room just to check in and find the main floor was dirty and extremely dusty, old garbage was still left in the room, the shower was dirty and had soap scum marks, and though I appreciate the gesture of champagne, the glasses they served were dirty.

Overrated and overpriced hotel. Breakfast was a disaster. Low quality products. I had to bring my own cheese!
The best thing about this hotel is The Level. A lot of UK guests at this hotel, about 80%.
Strip clubs and a brothel in the back of the hotel building and around the corner from the hotel. The hotel and the city of Palma should do something about this.
8.0 / 10.0
The city of Palma is redoing the street in front of the hotel and there is no signage as to how you access the property. Not very good signage oe
There is a disco right below on the ground floor that goes until 6 in the morning.

Check in process easy. Love my view. Wish the air conditioning was better. Other than that I would stay here again.

Nice hotel overlooking Palma Marina. My sea-view room had a spectacular view across the bay to the Cathedral with stunning sunrises. The breakfast buffet was extensive and good quality. The service was ok, but too formal, especially at reception. The one exception was the barman, Eduardo I think his name was, for whom nothing was too much trouble and managed to make you feel special. The rooms themselves are ok, but showing their age and the mattress on my bed was very uncomfortable - very firm, with the springs poking through. Overall a pleasant stay but not quite up to the standard I was expecting.

One of my criteria in booking this location was onsite parking. When I arrived all the construction meant that the parking situation was a find one if you can scenario. The beds were also very uncomfortable.
4.0 / 10.0
Firstly the following does not reflect the front staff.
Arrived to find the front entrance under construction and no area to park to check in, no instructions to the parking garage which was located behind the building and had to travel many blocks to find it. Had to carry my own bags up 3 flights of stairs as no elevator in garage and no where to park in front of hotel to unload the bags. Next the bed in our room was on an old cheap spring frame (not a box sping matress) that would squeak very loudly when you moved. Not what was expected at a Meila propery( maybe at a cheap 1 star property.) Went front desk to try and get a room with a proper box sping matress to be able to get a decent nights rest, only option was to upgrade our room at our expense of and addional 50 euros per night. The front staff tried their best to help us out. These failures fall on the hotel management and Melia.
4.0 / 10.0
I had higher expectations from Melia. The only appealing part of this hotel is the lobby. When entering it you have the impression that the hotel is perfect. However, the moment you enter the room you see its far from perfect, requires renovation asap as things are falling apart in the room, the design is old fashioned and the furniture is old and simply doesnt match the style of rest of the hotel. Breakfast variety was OK but the food did not taste good at all. The only positive thing is staff, everyone is great, from frontdesk to restaurant and housekeeping. To sum up the hotel needs to have rooms renovated ASAP and breakfast can be improved as well. The price and the presentation of the hotel simply dont match whar you get.

Beautiful hotel, excellent location, unfortunately work was being done outside!..... These things have to be done and I'm sure it will all be lovely when finished.

Will definitely be making a return visit.

We have stayed here before and really enjoyed our time. This time however there was construction work all around the hotel, from outside the hotel to the balcony from our room.
3.0 / 10.0
Not as nice as on the pictures. Pool smaller than it actually is
4.0 / 10.0
We stayed on the level which was well worth the extra cost. Friendly staff throughout and our room was very comfortable. The only downside was that we had a sea facing/side corner room from which we had a lovely view but the noise during the night was horrendous. There are nightclubs and bars behind the hotel and every morning at around 3-4am when people left the clubs there was a lot of shouting from loud jovial revellers. Not blaming the younger generation they were obviously having a good time, we did the same in our younger days. Then to cap it all on the last night the rubbish lorry collected in the very early hours with its reversing siren at full blast. This is our only criticism which I think would not have disturbed us quite so much had there been better quality patio doors and windows which might have had some noise cancelling effect. There is major road works going on in front of the hotel all the way along the marina which although not nice to look at didn’t spoil the holiday. Once you cross the road, which is a major feat, it is a beautiful walk on the other side but beware it is over a mile to the centre of Palma which is not suitable for everyone. All in all we would recommend this hotel but avoid room 618 if you want a peaceful nights sleep.

Check in was stressful - after a long overnight flight, I was jet-lagged and groggy. I couldnt find my reservation number and they wouldn't let me check in without it. I have copies of emails with the hotel and my name and credit card number from booking but they wouldn't 'find' the reservation. After about an hour of frustration and stress they finally managed to check us in. The room was nice, relatively clean and comfortable (paint could use refreshing and carpets needed cleaning) but had a great view. Ultimately it was a good stay, but that checking in was pretty awful, and Palma is FULL of construction right now which takes some of the fun out of it, too.
5.0 / 10.0
The hotel was lovely , the reception area layout was a little confusing and difficult to navigate area
6.0 / 10.0
A lot of construction going on in the area, the rooms look cheaply updated, and it was noisy at nights. The rooms are NOT soundproof recommend eat plugs. The rooms weren’t the cleanliness the first time the cleaners came through there was a pair of underwear found and put on the bed that were not ours. Which is disgusting. Wasn’t a terrible stay but not worth the price.

The reception team especially the man on duty on the 7th September evening were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay again.

This hotel is under construction and is very loud in the morning and dusty also they don’t have any parking around

Lovely hotel in great location within half an hour's walk of the cathedral. Our room was comfortable and well equipped with views of the marina from our balcony. Relaxing pool area with a lively bar serving drinks all day. Lots of choice at the breakfast buffet and a couple of places close by to have breakfast out. Bit of a shame about the extensive road works going on but it should improve the area once finished. Friendly and helpful staff and overall good value for money.

Nice Hotel - wrong time to visit. There is lots of work going on to improve the promenade so access is a challenge and many local businesses are shut. We had issues with the initial room allocation but these were swiftly resolved. We also had a poor experience with one meal which was undercooked, returned, they reheated it & tried to return it! We escalated this and food & drinks were eventually fully refunded. Overall though, a nice hotel and once Palma front is completed, I'm sure it'll be a great place to stay.
