A unique experience, totally different from any other accommodation that I have ever stayed in. A lot of care and attention has gone into decorating of the rooms, with many curios and nick nacks.

We were greeted by Paul, who showed us the house and our room and then welcomed us with a pot of tea and cake which he served in the lounge.
It is such a unique property with so many fascinating pieces of art, ornaments and furniture.
We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this B&B

This is a nice place full of old world charm and very different. It is well located for Hastings (10 min drive) and walkable to St Leonards (steep hill up from the beach). Breakfast was very good.
Areas where it could improve:
1. The welcome / check in from Paul was efficient but not friendly, nor whenever we saw him. His partner at breakfast next morning was much more cheerful
2. It was our anniversary and I had previously advised the hotel but no response or mention of this by the hotel nor effort to provide anything to acknowledge this
3. Our room was nice but no TV, en-suite toilet/shower and the bath also had no shower which was not ideal
4. There is no easy parking on site but on street parking is fine but perhaps mention this, pre booking
Overall, nice enough but you should be aware of what you are getting before you book to make an informed decision (personal choice but I would not book a place without en-suite facilities)

St Benedict’s needs to be seen to be believed!
Absolutely fantastic place, you feel like you are staying in a Victorian dolls house (in a good way)
Beautiful breakfast with quality sausage & bacon, served in meticulous surroundings by people who really care about what they do.

Without going into the fine detail (of which there is simply too much), this place is amazing ! Without doubt the most interesting place I think I have ever stayed in. Comfort, ameneties and breakfast second to none.
Thank you

We never stayed it was done to 1880s
No mod cons and looked like the house the munsters lived in
Very spooky my other half was spooked by all the stuffed birds above and around the bed
No fridge no telly
Luke warm tap water in bottles by bed
No en-suite and up five flights of steps
Not suitable for us but may suite others

Staying at St. Benedict B&B was no less than fantastic. Paul & Stephen was wonderful hosts in their beautiful, quiet and very cosy Victorian B&B. When we arrived tea (the best tea we have had in a very long time) and cake was served in a beautiful room with a very beautiful organ. And tea and cake was just what we needed after a long drive. We stayed in "Mr. Parry’s Rooms" and have never slept better than we did in the four poster bed. We give it 10 out of 6 stars, and is already dreaming about to come back and stay at St. Benedict B&B.

This was the most incredible B&B we have ever stayed at. The decor of the home is amazing; we felt like we were back in Victorian times. Every facet of the house is original, right down to the butter knives and salt/pepper shakers. Excellent breakfast and our hosts were kind and full of information. We were able to stay an extra night and felt right at home.

What a beautiful old mansion. It is like stepping back in time

The house was a wonderfully evocative place. Each room looked absolutely wonderful. The various displays were really thought provoking and colourful. The breakfast each morning was superb. The reception and service were the best we have experienced for a very long time. This is a place well worth returning to over and over again.

This B&B is like nothing I've seen outside a museum – everything from the curtains to the wallpaper to the bathtub are Victorian. The owners have dedicated many years to making this an authentic Victorian experience (with a few 21st century comforts, of course). Paul, the host, was friendly and accommodating, even leaving us tea and cake on our arrival in the living room and a filling full English breakfast to set us for the the next day. If you're fans of this period, you will be in your element.

Hard to spot from the main road, Bnb has a church/monastery feel to it, a bit OTT with religious decor. Breakfast badly organised, would work a lot better alacart rather than buffet. I waited 20min for buffet to be re supplied which never happened. Staff are nice tho. Recommend.

We visited the hotel during the owners' absence. We were greeted in a rushed and chaotic manner, but at least did not have to wait half an hour to be met as did other guests.

Wonderful location in conservation area. Amazing breakfast. Helpful hosts. Home magnificantly restored to Victorian splendour - don't forget to visit the garden!

Very unique B&B. Those who are keen about history or Victorian theme, this is the place to be. The B&B can be museum itself with its furnichure and decor. One can experience how people lived in the era.
