Good stay

It was ok stay at the property. The owner is easy going, however, i observed some tension and confusion with a lady who identified herself as the house care taker, not infront of guests please! Property were close to a couple attractions, stingray and turtle city. Very small Island, not much to do.

Sitting on the terrace looking out over the water and green hills with flowers and birds was so tranquil and lovely.
Great value for the price

No soap, no shampoo, one towel....constant smell of septic sewage in the room, noisy neighborhood, no wifi in guest rooms.

Even though Expedia confirmed our reservation they said they were in an oversold position and we could not stay there once we travelled to the location.

Loved the location in rural Antigua. Beautiful views. Nice outside area. Only seating for one inside this studio. For transportation you would need a rental or be prepared to walk up the hill for the local bus (no real schedule). A little store and restaurant are nearby. Take the path up the hill just a ways past Stingray city.

This place is amazing. In the extremely friendly Seatons Village, a minute walk away from Stingray City, a short way from Long Bay and Devil's Bridge, a generally beautiful part of a beautiful island. Chippy gave us some fresh off the tree coconut and papaya, and we used the outdoor grill for a couple of bbqs. A very comfortable studio with everything you need, and a relaxing local atmosphere that is worlds apart from the classic multi-hundred dollar a night all-inclusives that generally mop up the tourists.

I can’t say enough about the owner Chippy. He was warm, welcoming, friendly and generous! Helped me with advice, directions, information and setting up. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else when I come back- it’s a very peaceful and quiet location right on the bay. A car wasn’t needed for me because the bus that takes you to/from the city is a few blocks down for $1.I’m an experienced traveler and I quite enjoyed staying here and away from the touristy more expensive places. It’s not real Antigua. This is........Everything worked in the cottage just as shown. It was very cozy, comfortable and of course competitively priced! Sad to leave especially when the owner made you feel like family Thanks again

Our host was brilliant! Thank you for being so caring; you really made us feel at home! He offered fishing activities for us, took his time and gave us loads of information about Antigua and even went above and beyond to cook some delicious curry conch and fried fish for us! Highly recommended!

When I came to Antigua, I stayed on the top floor. I love the decor and the friendliness of the host. I was able to get a lot of site seeing done by the nearby Stingray City. The view is just beautiful and the room is very convenient. There is a kitchenette area and even pots, pans, utensils, cutlery, dishes etc. You also don't have to worry about any toiletries because soap and toilet paper were provided. Definitely a convenient and great place to stay.

Clean, functional with a fantastic view of the bay. Local shop and restaurant nearby. What more do you want?
Would return again no problem.
You’ll need a car I’d say but then best to have one when visiting this island anyway, then you can see it all!

This is a rustic motel style/ hostel style single building with thin walled apartments that separate tenants. It is not near a beach, or near any major tourist attractions. It is quiet and the residential area it is located in is full of polite locals, and their extremely vocal dogs. It is beyond ready for a remodeling, and could benefit from a deep cleaning. Despite all this, the exterior bears and adorable simplistic charm.

Clean and comfortable and Sally was really friendly. Easy access to fun Stingray City - bring your own food and coffee!

It was pleasant and clean. Somewhat distant from the capital, which is good because it's quiet. You are likely to need a rental car if you stay here. Long bay is the closest 'Proper' beach which is about 5km away.

I have been here two weeks. Ellen Bay is located in Seatons Village. Its less than 50 yards from the water. If one is looking for a quiet, relaxing place to stay this is the place for you. If one is wanting the night life, look elsewhere. Sally is fantastic. She is managing it for Bernadette who is the owner. I feel at home here. The locals are the friendliest people I have ever met. Everyone speaks to you. I chose well when I chose Ellen Bay.

Its in the middle of no where, far from the beaten track. Its not really a cottage youll be staying in, more of a guest house. One large property sub-divided into separate rooms with your own external entrance. The room is basic (at best): double bed, small kitchenette (microwave, toaster, four ring gas hob, fridge freezer, coffee percolator and sink along with crockery, cutlery and a range of pans), a small seating area in the room plus a patio area outside and a small bathroom (shower, sink and EC). It was clean, but not well maintained. No servicing of the room whilst I was there for six days! The owner is very friendly and always giving advice, help and assistance. No staff on site. There is a café (open for breakfast and lunch and dinner if pre-booked) in the village (about a three minute walk up the steep rough roadway) but the menu was very basic and expensive - we purchased breakfast items from the supermarket and did ourselves after one café visit.Antigua is expensive and I think that $75 per night is expensive, but in comparison to other options this is one of the cheapest - get what you pay for.

We stayed for two nights in transit and did not explore further than the surrounding area. A car is needed to do this. The nearest restaurant and shop was a 15 minute walk away. Ellen Bay Inn would have been the nearest restaurant but it was closed. Many, if not all shops and restaurants were closed on the Sunday. Not a place to stay without a vehicle or local taxi number although we were pretty much next door to Stingray City. Bernadette was away but her sister-in-law Salome was extremely helpful and a lovely lady.

I have no issues to report another than the road conditions.

This is a lovely Apartment Hotel, it is home away from home. Very quiet as it is located in the country. If you love nature this is the place, you will be awaken by the parrots and macaws that are next door which you can visit with a short walk. It is also close to the water from where you can take a trip with the neighbors to swim with the Stingrays, an incredible experience. Close to some of the nicest beaches on the Island. Best of all is the Owner, Bernadette, she is very accomodating, she arranged Rental Car, Airport pick up, even loaned me a local phone to use while i was there, you can't ask for more.

When I travel I prefer to get more to a local community. Seaton's is on Antigua's quieter, east side. I would recommend car for exploring as bus service is not available at times. I caught a couple of empty taxis that were plying their way between tourist sites. I also had pretty good luck just flagging down locals. Two worthwhile activities is Sting Ray City ( literally next door) and Long Bay Beach.
Bernadette was an excellent host and seems to tirelessly attend to her guests with airport runs and other chores. She met me on Sunday night after the typical 2 hour Liat delay. She took me my a grocery store to make sure I had provisions. The studio apartment was quite comfortable; and the view out on the bay in the mornings was serene. I enjoyed my stay before moving on to the bustling Englishman's Bay and Jolly Harbour
